I do love the series so much, but I'm planning on picking up the game in a week or so to try it out to see if it's legit. I'm only getting it because of the 20 online player mode that's why. Nothing else honestly.
@@sonicgalaxy27 the story looks like unital ring should be, most of the story is cannon or at least till i am right now, they mention things and characters from past events in light novel/anime, so far it looks less connected to game verse and more conected to cannon stuff.

well i mean the open network test happened recently + people with the "content creator tax" (digital premium early access) have played the game too. the general concensus i hear is that the game is good. i would've tried it but every time that i was available during the open network test, the game was under maintenence so... yeah. i played like one match ;_;
just look up "SAOFD switch gameplay" and watch the resolution drop to the floor (although my frame of reference is in handheld mode)

No, it does have a story mode (that is how you unlock characters for the online mode)

I remember playing a demo of another SAO game on the Switch. I didn't like the combat at all. It didn't feel satisfying to hit the enemy. What a shame.

@@Pieces_InTheGame will all the others are direct copies of the anime with a slight deviation that leaves the stories in different directions which is often enough for them to feel original enough to me however fractured daydream is completely original it has no anime to be based on. The gameplay in set game is also some of the most unique and original Sao type of gameplay that we have seen out of any of the games that have released

The last 2 were such a flop I was glad i got a refund on both, will wait a good year or so before picking this up. We need SAO to bounce back big time, not holding my breath but I pray this does so well. For now Hollow Realization it is 👌

Yes it does have some inconsistencies, and certain annoying flaws, that I'll agree, but overall the combat was solid, story was fun, maps plentiful, amount of characters to partner up was huge and the DLCs were legit....yeah idk what the issue is but ok. I hope you try it 🎉

This show had me in my FEELS sometimes, it was one of the best animes I’ve ever watched

personally after pokemon scarlet and violet performance issues on release, i vowed to not buy any more games until a switch 2 is out, so far i have kept that vow

@@Unknown_User174 i heard what u said, im coming from it as someone who mainly plays on PC, most people who buy the switch may not have experience with PC or other consoles, by comparison the switch underperforms, gamefreak does need to get their stuff together, but its not only only gamefreak games, there is a game i play with some relatives called "Richman 11", the time it takes to just start the game loading takes forever, and its a pretty simple game, maybe my switch is old at this point, but still wouldnt replace it with another when a switch 2 would be better
