Thanks so much Brother 🤗!!!! I can say they seek out direct feedback 👍. They really want to give guys the best rigs possible. Obviously they have a budget like everyone. Hats off to them for constantly improving and being so open to suggestions. 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊
Rich Duperbash what are your current mods? I just picked up my exb. And i still have a good bit of m2c parts i never put on my v4 kraton yet that i’ll most likely use on the exb. Have a Mamba Monster x 8s and 1717 coming Thursday. Thinking that should be plenty/fun with a 20-23t pinion
@@annadarby7224 your EXB is gonna move nicely 😱. I haven't done much besides what I shared in the intro. I did also add M2C M4 shock standoffs 💪 and replaced the rear shock rod ends with ARRMA HD Nero ones plus 6.8mm steel pivot balls. You can't go wrong putting any M2C upgrades on the EXB 😍. The M2C Kraton shock towers would change the shock angle to more upright though. 😎💪👊👊
Rich Duperbash I currently have the m2c shock standoffs, shock cap/piston and oring kit, front and rear chassis brace(but the exb braces look just as good), Pillar ball retainer nut kit for now. The front and rear hinge kits were out of stock. But ill have to grab the shock towers for now. And some steel pivot balls Thanks for the advice.
@@annadarby7224 you bet 👊. Those are fantastic upgrades 😍. I would go ahead and drop in the M2C chassis braces. The stocks aren't bad, but they aren't 7075 T6 and don't have a flat spot to anchor a M4 nut on the top with a longer bolt. I'm not splitting hairs here, but that's the ideal beefcake setup. That's how I would've designed the EXB brace. 🍻
I absolutely appreciate your videos. Awesome driving skills paired with very helpful tips makes you one of the best rc-youtubers. A rc-beginner sends you best regards from Croatia! Take care, man!
3:00 wow that looks like it hurt! you just convinced me to buy one of these :) thanks again duperbash making my pockets empty out here! Man, I can't wait! Great video as always commented a year late but was looking into one and came to this video again always trust you with what RC to buy keep up the great work! :)
Thanks so much Brother 😜. My bash buddy John just got his wife a Kraton 😍. He already has an EXB K6s, but he's that convinced with the platform for all around bashing. Tons of aftermarket support and Fantastic performance. Every basher should have one!!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊
No doubt John 👀. I was shocked the arms, links, and hubs took that 😱🤣🤣. I discovered my solder job was crap on the positive ESC lead 😝. Atleast 50-60% of the wire had frayed and pulled off the connector. I retinned the lead and attached a new bullet. Mid-air power cuts are the worst 🍻😎💪👊👊
Those slow motion shots of the exb flying across the sun are awesome. Also taking the infraction to the skate park was epic !!! Never seen anyone do anything like that. Ballsy play Kid !!!
Thanks so much Brother 🤗!!!! Been missing rippin the Infraction around. Hopefully get her back out soon. Just not sure it'll be at the skatepark 😱🤣🤣😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 not sure if you will see or respond to this being 2 years late, but im planning on a kraton exb build, and wondering what servo you used?
Thanks so much Mark 🤗!!!! The high speed rips are my favorite 😍. Doing jumps is fun, but the raw speed gets me fired up every time 🥰🥰. Still can't believe how fast these rigs are 👀🍻😎💪👊👊
So the EXB is a real beast. The fact that you can just make it totally your own is amazing. A little to out there for my skill level. I am learning with my 4S Kraton and with the really hot, dry Summer we've had here in Iowa it's been really great for bashing. WE also have some building sites right now so there are some really great places to bend and break. No seems to mind, Maybe with my white beard no one wants to upset Santa, LOL. WE aren't gonna argue with them. These places will vanish and we'll be back by the River soon enough. This was great, amazing to see how this is evolving with you.
Thanks so much Harry 🤗!!!! Building sites are some of my favorites 😍🥰🥰. You know it's temporary, but can enjoy and seize the moment 👍. The Kraton 4s is no slouch 👀. Hoping to get mine back out soon. Props to ARRMA for this new EXB 👊. Definitely a great starting point for the ultimate 1/8 basher. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Your the most heavy duty basher I have every seen I mean that for real your like balls to the wall hard on your stuff I thought I was bad on. My trucks you put me to shame holy cow batman
Thanks so much Jack 🤗!!!! I've tried to put a solid test on this rig, but found myself going borderline overboard the first 2-3 runs 😱. Not trying to break it, but have some wild fun either way 😍. Really appreciate the kind words Brother. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Another great one brother Rich. Those huge dirt mound transfers were just butter smooth, but that triple front.... Ya gotta be kidding me🥵😨🚀🚀🎯🙌 Great bash full of multiple spots chock full of insane driving brother. She was quite lively out there. That EXB was taking a hell Of a bash. Great stuff Rich Rock on and stay safe brother 🙌 That heat tho🥵🥵🥵
I got the shock standoff and the shock caps and now I just ordered the rear hinge pin kit from M2C they have top quality stuff I appreciate your videos thanks man
You bet Brother 🤗. Mitch's parts make such an amazing difference for durability and performance 👀. Nothing is indestructible, but M2C parts are about as good as it gets for worry free bashing. 😎💪👊👊
This is awesome, I have a hobbystar 4092 1730 kv motor that I want to put in mine but it is so loud! I know you mentioned that it is loud in another video but sheesh, I almost don't like to drive it near me. I've hardly even run it, maybe a few hours of runtime. Loves the vids btw. You are the king of bash!
Awesome bash as always! 👍 I use the adjustable HR Servo Saver witch never failed at my rigs. Some incredible savings, especially after the front flips 😮 You really got some serious air and over all it looks like my bashing in fast forward 😘
Thanks so much dear Kimberly 😍!!!! I was looking at at those HR Servo savers 👀. If you like them, I know I would too 🤗🥰🥰. Had some crazy saves this run no doubt 🤣. More ramp shavers than I could count. Hopefully get the steering 100% dialed again next time. Really appreciate the tip and the kind words. Your advice is gold my Basherqueen 🥰🥰😎💪👊👊
Kraton EXB Roller for $328 for the next 2 days! Everyone go buy one! I couldn't help myself I had to buy two! :D Very excited to experience the Kraton!
Another rad bash session Rich🤘 Those front flips and saves were epic 🤯 So jealous on your locations such a great place to open her up! Big respect 🙌 king basher Rich!
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!!! I'm shocked how agile this EXB feels 👀. I'm sure the big power setup helps, but she feels super balanced and handles Killer. Really appreciate it my friend. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks Brother 🤗!!!! You bet on FL. Hoping to get back to Universal Studios Orlando once we have a handle on the pandemic 😝. Travel fun has gone out the window. Absolutely LOVE the vibe in Florida 😍. Such a great place with wonderful people. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Tony 🤗!!!! I hope I've helped people with tips and ideas. That's the great part of our hobby being able to share and help each other 😉. Appreciate the kind words as always Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊
For 3mm, for it to hold up as well as it did even without the t-t brace for 2 runs is impressive. I'm definitely hoping they start releasing rollers for their other 6s vehicles as well. I'm not a heavy basher, but having the extra insurance would be fantastic.
I totally agree Brother 👊!!!! Doing huge sends with no T to T put serious stress on the 3mm chassis 😱. This EXB definitely gives extra assurance by design 😍. Wether you bash Crazy hard or not, it's a great option for sure. Handles and performs awesome.🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Is gearing down on 8s not a thing when bashing? Using 6s over 8s when 8s is a possibility, is that because of battery weight? I want to get more batteries and finding batteries that fit but aren't too big or too small is a bit of a challenge lol I've been into crawling and got my first 1/8 basher the k6 and got a max6 1650kv combo for it. Tried a 15t and it was too slow, got a 17t now it's kinda craxy. One one set of 4s right now though and one set of 6s
Guys do sometimes gear down and run 8s with the 6s rigs. Personally, I think the diffs are too small for 8s power. These rigs are crazy fast on 6s so why run 8s. I run a 22T with the 4985 1650kv on 6s.
Thanks Valdemar 🤗. The EXB is a Blast 🥰🥰. Huge step up for ARRMA from the standard 6s. The LSD diffs have performed great 👌. This is a great option/platform to build a Killer basher. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Rad session Rich ! I really enjoyed the gnarly air action and saves , great locations . A diff. vid on that rig would be killer , i think it would provide great insight . I already have my EXB , i just finished gorilla taping the body . Stay safe ....
Thanks so much Brother 😊!!!! I've worked with the diffs enough to share some good tips and insights 🤗. Don't really need heavy fluids with the LSD set-up, but getting the slip plates aligned is key during maintenance. Hopefully post something up soon. 😎💪👊👊
Totally awesome bash. How is it possible that you and Eric continue to put out videos better than the last? Lol. For the abuse taken it’s a pretty impressive truck. Thanks for torture testing it for us all! Very epic slo mo @ 4:18. And @ 4:30 was that a triple front flip? Great shots and fly bys as always! Extreme bashing at its finest! Cheers!
Some awesome jumps over that big mound 😱 Liked how you nailed all those sideways landers 💪 Ah the dreaded wing mount snap. I go through streaks if breaking them every run then I get some that last a long time, lol!
What a badass vid brother Rich!!💪Mega sends and wild flips from all angles!😂That wicked double or triple frontie save was crazy!!😱Love the slo mo elipse of the sun shot!! This rig is just a tank and even better once a few personal adjustments are made! I'm loving mine and can't wait to get it out again!😍 Got a coupe new parts and a body on the way..Mine it totally trashed!😂😂Love the sunset dirt roosts at the end! What a way to end a day! Great vid bro and take it easy!😎👊🚀🚀💪🍻
Thanks so much Brother Eric 😜!!!! We both know no rig is unbreakable, but I'm very impressed with this even compared to our custom builds 👀. Definitely benefits from a few tweaks and add on's, but that's where the fun is 🥰🥰. ARRMA took a huge step forward with the EXB 👊. Can't wait to see what else lies ahead. Had a Blast getting squirrely off the plastic ramps 😱🤣🤣. Just got the man-van fixed so the bigger ramp is back in the mix 😂. I can say wholeheartedly that the sunset rips were the most fun I've had in awhile 😍. This sucker hauls ass with this setup. Hope all is well with the family Bro 🤗🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Hey rich have you had any problems with the front diff on the EXB ? I'm 3 batteries in to mine and it's eating up the front diff . I've not bashed the truck yet just driven it around on the grass in my friend yard in the street. The spline gear is a mess
No I haven't James 🤔. I did ultimately add 2-3 Tekno tkr1222 bearing shims to the crown gear side bearing to tighten the mesh between the the crown and input gears both front and rear. Been doing this for years with all my 6s rigs. No issues with internal gears either. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 . Ok I'm going to try that . Arrma did call me back yesterday and there sending me a full set of diff's front center and rear with the case's. I got off the phone and was just floored with the guy from customer service guy. A big hat's off to Arrma ..
If you don’t mind, I would like to use a few seconds of footage from your Kraton EXB vids to add to a video I am posting on my channel for Horizon support to try and show what the truck is capable of? As mine broke just driving in a straight line where as yours is flying and bashing like a beast straight out of the box! Kindly confirm if that’s ok please?
Freaking hella bash brother Rich. EXB was on fire 🔥🤘! Some insane Jumps and flips!😲😱. One jump created an eclipse completely blocked out the sun for a second! LOL 😂🤣. Midair cutout was brutal, tacos the shaft. I had my share of those for sure. You had her tuned just right Bro. She seems super dialed in. Props to Arrma for this awesome option. It's the way to go for anyone in the market for a Kraton. Not quite M2C Tank level but close for sure. Arrma totally cement the Kraton as the king of the Hil basher out there. Stay safe and bash on brother.
Thanks so much Brother Chris 😜!!!! Had some crazy off axis sends with this one 🤣🤣. Seemed to keep catching the sun wherever I set the ramps up 👀. Loving this EXB big-time Bro😍. Took a pack or 2 to adjust to the diffs and finally feeling dialed with the ESC updated 👌. Feels like a Max6 now. While not full M2C beefcake, this is definitely a Killer rig to push to the limit 😱. So much innovation and great handling. I could go on, but simply a pleasure to bash 🥰🥰. HUGE props to ARRMA for raising the bar here. This rig hauls complete ass and gives you confidence to just go for it. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Perfect bashing! Do you run the 50/200/20 oil with the LSD diff, or did you rebuild it with the Arrma shim set? If you run the LSD diff, with max or min effect set up? Many thanks!
I would recommend the EXB 6s personally. Yes the ET48 is silky smooth, but it's a race kit designed for fast track laps. For hardcore bashing, I'd rather have an M2C built EXB. 🍻
Hi Rich, talk about mad hair..... that’s some mad air you get with that Aarma man......Aarma tough baby lol 😂 Loved the shots of you going to the sun ☀️ man, the slomo going through the sun was awesome. 😎👍👍🇬🇧💥💥💥

I see you are running the 160A Firma ESC but i don't think you mentioned what motor you are running? I tried to make it out in the video but curious to know brand and KV...Great driving, truck runs mint.
If someone doesn't understand the phrase "Drive it like you stole it!" Show them this video. I would never guess the Kraton could take that hard of an ass whooping, and keep going. Kudos Arrma, and kudos on the driving brother!
Awesome bash. please do a Vid on limited slip diffs. Also what all did you program on your esc. I have same 160a esc and want to make sure I’m using the full capabilities of it.
Thanks so much Mike 🤗!!!! I had already upped the punch to max 5 using manual programming, but bought the program card to update my Kraton 8s ESC to version 3.09 on my laptop 👍. This made the power feed much smoother and more responsive. There's a couple threads about it on the Facebook ARRMA Kraton 8s forum.🍻😎💪👊👊
Hay Rich hope your having a great day! I have my 6s exb together. Just wondering what you think about adding shims to the diffs out of the box? Anything you suggest doing before really ripping? Thanks again bro, hope the heat is better out there!
Hey Jeremy 🤗. Missed your message 👀. Provided your EXB isn't an original release from a year ago, the diffs should be good. Some from the first couple batches had rear diff issues with improper shims. I do recommend adding additional crown gear side bearings front and rear though. I generally use 2-3 Tekno tkr1222 shims both ends. 🍻😎💪👊👊
What motor are you running? I got arrma kraton 6s v5, but I need help deciding between a max8 combo or Max6 combo. My cousin has max6 but he hasn't run it yet. The max6 his got is so heavy and don't know if it will get the air time I want because I want my kraton to jump higher.
Hey Brother 👊. Just saw this 👀. I'm running a Hobbystar 4092 1730 with Kraton 8s ESC (Firma 160A, Max6 size). Many guys do run the Max6 combo, but the 1650 motor is pretty chunky 😂. Definitely a few more grams then the 4092. I generally only recommend the Max8 2200 motor for the lighter Typhon or other buggy sized rigs.. It tends to get too hot in the Kraton or Outcast. 🍻😎💪👊👊
It's likely not needed for many 🤔. For guys that enjoy sending it, I just recommend running longer bolts up through the braces and capping them with M4 locknuts. This puts some counter pressure on the brace and bolt helping it keep it's form better and, more importantly, leaves something to grab onto (for removal) incase the bolt snaps off inside the brace. 😎💪👊👊
No I haven't. There's talk on the Forums and Facebook about some units missing shims....etc. Always good to double-check fluids...etc. You never know when someone else does the assembly. 😎💪👊👊
This is a rough part of Sacramento, CA. 7st and Richards Blvd. There's some broken glass and construction wire, but we've tried to clean it up a bit. 🍻😎💪👊👊

How much time did you swich your diff crown and pinnions?? I habe an outcast and is like the 5 run using stock electronicks and 16 pinion and now its rubbing out
These diffs are completely redesigned. Definitely have beefier crown and pinion gears 💪. My standard 6s gears do quite well, but I shim them with Mugen Seiki E0206 and Tekno #1222 shims. Makes a huge difference. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Hey man quick question if you have a minute, why thinner oil in the rear diff? Me arrmas do that side to side walk on wheelie until i put like 100k or 200k in rear then i get consistent straight wheelies that don't do that side to side wobble and then the front i use thinner because when you turn you don't want it to push through you want the outside tire to spin faster. I try to ask people on Facebook and i just get smartass jerk answers and i know youve answered some stuff for me before so just wondering. Thanks bro 👍
I've experimented with different weights and ultimately prefer 20-30k rear in the 6s rigs 👍. The wobble is only on uneven ground under harder throttle for me. I don't feel much push when cornering using 50K front and like the handling better with lighter rear fluids. Other plus is less strain on the diffs and drivetrain with sideways hits and landings 😎💪👊👊
sir! Im having a hell of a time figuring out why my 777 reef servo cant move the tires full rake at dead stop.. it feels like it drives "fine" but knowing it casnt rake fully on a stand still is messing with my "fun factor" it feels like my kreaton exb cant corner like my mohave or typhon. am i crazy? ty for your time in advance
I'm not sure Brother 🤔. Sounds like that's a programmable 700oz torque servo. Haven't used one before, but it looks like it takes a power source separate from the ESC if I'm not mistaken. Should have plenty of torque to move those wheels. May be a power or programming issue. 🍻
Hey Vince 🤗. I've done several vids on setup 👍. Best advice on bashing I can give is go at your own pace. Breakages are part of learning, but get your rig dialed how you like and practice driving. The better you learn your rigs and trust them, the better connected you'll feel when bashing. You have to experiment and don't be afraid to try different things with your tuning and driving. Highly recommend driving different size rigs regularly. Challenge yourself as you build up your skills and confidence. There's no substitute for hands on experience. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thanks so much rich....i learned alot from your videos..i watched them all the time during this pandemic lol....keep up the good videos and more power to you 👍🏻👌💪🏻
@@richduperbash2966 you think bumping the break and reverse on the settings and also the punch settings help to control the car in the air for front and backflips? what is your preferred settings in there? thanks
@@vincevirina425 I always run max punch and adjust the brake if needed. I don't like my brake too harsh. Just enough to stop safely in a pinch. Usually dictated by motor size and gearing. 🍻
Hey Rich, I'm trying to figure out what to throw in for Motor in my 6s bash Truggy... I want power for flips! I have a 2150 toro x8 v2 in there now but I need to overgear it to get the performance I want.... maybe you can do a video comparing kv? I seen your running a Hobbystar 1730kv 4092... what happens when you go even lower KV then that??
The lower KV motors are more efficient and generally run cooler with more torque. The trade off is speed. Hence the need to gear up a bit taller for good top end. I've been running the 1480kv 4092 in my V3 Kraton with 22T pinion for 2+ years. Innovation RC just did a vid on different sized motors that is very informative. He does solid bench vids. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks Brother 🤗. That's just an Outcast 6s wheelie bar I threw on. It replaces the rear wingmount supports that come on the stock wing. Here's a link. 😎💪👊👊www.amazon.com/Arrma-Wheelie-Bar-Set-Outcast/dp/B01NC24EDQ
Thanks Daniel 👊!!!! I bought mine from discountramps.com. Unfortunately, I haven't seen them online in awhile 🤔. Tbone is now offering some, but I haven't tried them.. Good plastic ramps aren't easy to find. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I have a question Are those differentials the same size as the original (kraton v2) diffs? Next time my diffs give out im looking to upgrade. Great run as always! Showing us how its done!
Thanks Chris 🤗!!!! The ring and pinion gears (aka...crown and input) are actually bigger 💪. They made the diff cups 2mm smaller to accommodate them. Outdrives and set pins are beefier, internal gears are all new. Front and center are limited slip diffs, rear is standard open diff with new gears...etc. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 wow thank you for your time! And the data! I will not be so scared to go bash my v2 with the old diffs...i shimmed them and they are new but i have broke too many by now. I had not been driving it because of this!
Do you recommend using the m2c rear shock tower brace or just keeping the stock tower to tower brace Arrma provides? Debating on buying the m2c for my kraton and just wanting to make sure it’s worth it! Thanks. Your vids are great btw🤙🏻 🍻
Thanks so much Nate 🤗. The stock EXB chassis really needs the tower to tower brace. Without it, you'll likely bend the center driveshafts if you bash hard enough or have a harsh nose or tail landing. You don't need a tower to tower brace with the M2C Goliath Series 4mm chassis 💪. The M2C rear tower support works brilliantly. Still running one on my beefcake V3 Kraton. It serves to support the tower and protect the rear bulkhead during harsh rolls and impacts. PS, make sure to use the "m2ccoupon" code for all purchases for some savings.🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thanks anyway. My exb 6s is on order. I’m going with a Max 6 combo 4985 1650 based on your suggestions. Also putting a powerhobby 633MCW servo with HR bulkheads front and rear. I’ll see how the other stock stuff holds up. I think I’ll be fin since I don’t have your driving skills to send it 💯 ft in the air. I you had to give your top M2C exb 6s upgrades for most average bashers what would they be, anything or keep it stock?
@@pizzomedia7261 I would get some M4 M2C shock standoffs and their pillar ball nut retainers. The rear EXB suspension mounts are also vulnerable to bendage and breakage. Either Voltage Hobbies or M2C both make Fantastic options. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Rich do the Limited Slip diffs drop right in to the HR Diff housings? Just put them in my Kratave and was going to go for the Limited Slip Diffs once I need to rebuild. Are they worth it? How do they compare to normal diffs? Or should I stick with the regular diffs with Aluminum diffcup?
The LSD diffs use the same diff cases so they will drop straight into the HR ones. I recommend 2-3 Tekno #1222 shims on the crown gear side bearing though 👍. I do like the action and performance of them thus far 🤗. They tighten up on throttle and open up when coasting. Don't require really heavy fluids. Time will tell with longevity. The cups are 29mm (2mm smaller than stock) to accommodate the wider crown and input gears. Larger outdrive shafts and set pins. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Awesome. What do you recommend for motor esc for this rig? like I am fairly new to hobby but know enough to get one of these beasts. 450$CAD is budget for those...
Thanks Brother 👊. I prefer motors in the 1500-2000kv range. 4072 is the minimum size can. You'll do well with most 150-160A ESC's. The Max8 or Max6 ESC both work great. My favorite motors are the Hobbystar 4092 1480 and 1730kv from RCJuice with 20-22T pinion. The 1480 needs a 22 to really get moving. 🍻😎💪👊👊
What settings did you adjust in the esc to run smoother? I'm curious cause the electronics i have picked out are almost the same. Only difference is I'm going to run a 1650kv 4092/20t. Thanks in advanced Rich!
You might find punch 3 smoother than max punch 5 🤔. Make sure you calibrate your ESC to the controller under throttle setup. That's the only way to ensure the ESC understands neutral, full throttle, and full brake range and responds smoothly. Your setup should Rip!!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Awesome! Thanks a million man. Also, I'm working on building up some consumables to have on hand for extras. So far I have arms front&rear, shock &spring end caps, steering blocks. What else do you think I might need?... Oh turnbuckles! I just remembered those, lol.
Hey man! question, whats the main diffrence running the copperheads v2 and the 6s bacflips and the backflip lps on the Kraton EXB 1/8 scale. im running a 1650KW HB with a max6 atm. Cant figure out what tires to go for.
Hey Eirik 🤗. The V2 Copperheads and Backflips 6s are similar in size and diameter. I personally prefer the Backflips because they have less rounding on their contact patch, better traction and overall control. They have a different compliance with their shape and I can make more exacting corrections with the Backflips drifting, cornering, and jumping. The 4s Backflip LP's are noticably smaller and lighter than the 6s ones. They offer superior cornering, but you lose ground clearance and some cushion over rougher terrain. Hope this helps. 🍻
Good question 😝. Supply on many items has taken a huge hit partially due to the pandemic I'm sure. You might look at Rocket serpant motors. Pretty sure they are cousins from the same maker. 😎💪👊👊
That's an Awesome bash video. I've see others with vids with this truck blowing out rear diffs but he putting in a castle 8s system it . I don't think it needs that much power going buy this vid,6s is plenty of power going by what I just seen in this vid! Great video!
Thanks so much Jon 🤗!!!! These 1/8 rigs absolutely rip on 6s 👀. There's really no need for anything beyond that with the right setup. Just adds undue weight and strain. The gears on most every 1/8 are simply too small for complete overkill systems. For road use with smaller speed tires.....that's different. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I know you have the Kraton EXB Rich but does it run hot with your set up? Do you have a fan for your motor? I just bought the Kraton 6s v5 like 3 weeks ago. I haven't even ran it yet...still gathering parts to add to it. ex. front bumper, rear skid plate, wheelie bar, dust cover, new wheels & tires. Would you suggest getting a fan and heat sink for the motor too?
Congrats on the V5 😍. My setup doesn't run hot. Fans are effective at helping cool, but I prefer to use proper gearing and wheel size to dictate temps. I gear to about 150F motor and around 130-140 ESC. I stopped using dust covers rear ago due to the hot air balloon affect. The commercial ones tend to raise temps 25-30+ degrees. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@jzepp878 I haven't tried the Integy one, but if you compare temps with and without it, I'd bet you'll see a noticable difference. To me it's better to just blow out the chassis bay with an air compressor later.
I use RPM front and usually stick with stock EXB arms in the rear. Because the geometry is different, if you want to run rear RPM you have to drill lower shock standoff holes to achieve proper droop or swap to V2-V4 Kraton towers.
I am looking at getting my first kraton 6s. If I plan on going beefy for bashing do you think it would be better to start with the roller EXB and mod from there or get the kit and change pieces as they break and or upgrade a few at the beginning?
Great question Konnor. The EXB is extremely durable with lots of great touches and innovation. If you already have a spare power system to drop in and controller, it's a great value. The chassis isn't as durable as an M2C Goliath Series, but is far better than the standard one. I don't think you can go wrong with either a V4 Kraton or EXB. Just plan on getting aluminum chassis supports and servo mount pretty quickly if you go V4. A well built custom built rig with solid upgrades will always be strongest in the end. Just depends on how hard you're bashing. It's perfectly fine to upgrade as needed as you go too. Any rig can break if it's darted into the ground at speed or from height, even upgraded. I'd go with whatever makes sense for your budget and situation. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Speaking of shaft bending, a nasty hit on K6 exb bent front shock shaft. I managed to brutalize it to functional status, however I noticed each of my shocks FR/RR were all wiggling at bottom cup (ar330513) They all work, but compromised. Lots of lateral play. Something not right. Any ideas before I have to shelf it for a bit? Thanks!👍👍
You might've simply loosened the bottom caps or did some damage to the plastic shock guides within the caps 🤔. If they appear really ovaled out, it's best to replace them. Only thing is a bent shaft will likely hang up on newer, round guides. Either way, it's good to have a shock rebuild kit handy or on standby 👍. If you're not having leaking and still have full shock stroke, might not be an urgent emergency. My trucks take a beating and I too have nasty stacks on occasion or hit solid objects 😱🤣🤣. Just have to use your judgement if it needs repairing now or in the future. Some play in the shock lower is pretty normal with these rigs. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 awesome thank you! They all move well, however those guides are shot. I found the rebuild bits too. next thing to do is to message M2c to get on a 6s shock system ;) 👍🙏👊
Thanks Jason 🤗!!!! The truck has done fantastic overall 👍. Obviously guys have to clean and maintain and take some mechanical ownership, but this rig is designed to take much harder use than the standard 6s no question. 🍻😎💪👊👊
The big question is, why hasn't Arrma hired you as tester in their company. Mad driving skills bro!
And some steel pivot balls
Thanks for the advice.
This is a perfect controlled crazy bash!
I absolutely appreciate your videos. Awesome driving skills paired with very helpful tips makes you one of the best rc-youtubers.
A rc-beginner sends you best regards from Croatia!
Take care, man!

That landing at 3:03 oof😳 to not be going home after that is amazing. Arrma tough baby!
@@richduperbash2966 hey, that thing drives like a beast, wich pinion, motor, esc do you have in it?

Thanks so much Kizzel 🤗!!!! This hobby is constant learning 🥰🥰. Really appreciate it Brother. 🙏🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Of all your videos, this might be my favorite. Those hyper speed flat land shots were awesome, and your driving skills are turned up to eleven.

Wow 7:13 was super cool lol. Do you remember if this was on 6s or 8s? I know at some point you out the max6 with the 4985 in this
Thanks Brother 👊. I run all the 6s rigs on 6s only. Think I was running a Hobbystar 1730kv 4092 with a Max6.
@@richduperbash2966 Is gearing down on 8s not a thing when bashing? Using 6s over 8s when 8s is a possibility, is that because of battery weight? I want to get more batteries and finding batteries that fit but aren't too big or too small is a bit of a challenge lol
I've been into crawling and got my first 1/8 basher the k6 and got a max6 1650kv combo for it. Tried a 15t and it was too slow, got a 17t now it's kinda craxy. One one set of 4s right now though and one set of 6s
Guys do sometimes gear down and run 8s with the 6s rigs. Personally, I think the diffs are too small for 8s
power. These rigs are crazy fast on 6s so why run 8s. I run a 22T with the 4985 1650kv on 6s.

Perfect bashing! Do you run the 50/200/20 oil with the LSD diff, or did you rebuild it with the Arrma shim set? If you run the LSD diff, with max or min effect set up? Many thanks!
Would you recommend EXB or Tekno ET48 2.0… both will be M2C out either way I go.! Thanks, happy bashing!
I would recommend the EXB 6s personally. Yes the ET48 is silky smooth, but it's a race kit designed for fast track laps. For hardcore bashing, I'd rather have an M2C built EXB. 🍻

I'd love to see a more detailed video about the bolts you added to the braces and why thats needed.
Hey Rich have you had any problems with the rear diff on the Exb ?
No I haven't. There's talk on the Forums and Facebook about some units missing shims....etc. Always good to double-check fluids...etc. You never know when someone else does the assembly. 😎💪👊👊

Awesome rip with the EXB 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻😱😱. Bottom line if you are doing big air some additional changes are required. Bash on 😎😎
Hey man quick question if you have a minute, why thinner oil in the rear diff? Me arrmas do that side to side walk on wheelie until i put like 100k or 200k in rear then i get consistent straight wheelies that don't do that side to side wobble and then the front i use thinner because when you turn you don't want it to push through you want the outside tire to spin faster. I try to ask people on Facebook and i just get smartass jerk answers and i know youve answered some stuff for me before so just wondering. Thanks bro 👍
I think it will turn better with thinner oil in the rear
I've experimented with different weights and ultimately prefer 20-30k rear in the 6s rigs 👍. The wobble is only on uneven ground under harder throttle for me. I don't feel much push when cornering using 50K front and like the handling better with lighter rear fluids. Other plus is less strain on the diffs and drivetrain with sideways hits and landings 😎💪👊👊
Hey mate have you got any merch? Would love some Duperbash decals! 😎
I've thought about it, but haven't put any merch out there 🤔. Appreciate the idea and support Brother. I'll try and make it happen. 😎💪👊👊
I can’t wait for my motor n esc to get here!! Crazy air man!
hey rich are u using the k8s esc and motor?
Still using the K8s ESC with Hobbystar 4092 1730kv. I updated my V1 ESC with the program update from Horizon. 😎💪👊👊
hey rich...can u make a video on tips on how to bash like that?...tips on diff shock set ups and some general tips about rc? thank u

@@richduperbash2966 Thanks Man!
Awesome Video Man!! Where Did U Buy The Wheelie Bar from?
Thanks Brother 🤗. That's just an Outcast 6s wheelie bar I threw on. It replaces the rear wingmount supports that come on the stock wing. Here's a link. 😎💪👊👊www.amazon.com/Arrma-Wheelie-Bar-Set-Outcast/dp/B01NC24EDQ
Awesome Bro Thanks!!
Mr duperbash,
Did the motor connector wires connect to spektrum esc? Also what motor is that??
That's a Hobbystar 4092 1730kv from RCJuice. It plugs straight into the Spectrum Firma 160A ESC. Same ESC that comes with the 8s ARRMA's. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 my man I appreciate you keep up the good work
That was a ruff landing shocked it was only a drive shaft
Killer vid . Do you know where I could get some plastic ramps?
Thanks Daniel 👊!!!! I bought mine from discountramps.com. Unfortunately, I haven't seen them online in awhile 🤔. Tbone is now offering some, but I haven't tried them.. Good plastic ramps aren't easy to find. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I have a question
Are those differentials the same size as the original (kraton v2) diffs?
@@richduperbash2966 Can I run both the m2c rear shock tower brace as well as the stock tower to tower brace? Or is one or the other?
@@natehogan8376 I haven't, but I've been told you can run both together 👍
Hey Rich, what ramps do you use? Thanks, love your videos!
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. I bought my plastic ramps from Discountramps.com years ago. Unfortunately, seems like they were discontinued. 😝😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 super helpful, thanks Rich!
What Pinion Gear Your Running? Looks Wicked Fast..!👍👍
I'm running a 20T with the Hobbystar 4092 1730kv motor. Usually run a 16T Robinson Racing Extra Hard with the stock 2050kv motor. 😎💪👊👊

Awesome!
Hi Rich! Just wanted to know where could I find Hobbystar 4092/1730kv? Because it out of stocks every where!
Good question 😝. Supply on many items has taken a huge hit partially due to the pandemic I'm sure. You might look at Rocket serpant motors. Pretty sure they are cousins from the same maker. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks Rich!
@@richduperbash2966 oh wow! Yeah i have an Integy dust cover. So you would actually drop eliminate that?
@@jzepp878 I haven't tried the Integy one, but if you compare temps with and without it, I'd bet you'll see a noticable difference. To me it's better to just blow out the chassis bay with an air compressor later.
Rich big fan bro.. need ur expertise..what brand A arms do u prefer for the kraton exb 6s?
I use RPM front and usually stick with stock EXB arms in the rear. Because the geometry is different, if you want to run rear RPM you have to drill lower shock standoff holes to achieve proper droop or swap to V2-V4 Kraton towers.
Right on rich thanks
Sick air that things insane getting ready to build mine bash on brotha💀💀👹👹💥💥AHS
Rich Duperbash thanks for the response! Besides the chassis is there a list of “must” upgrades for the stock RTR kraton 6s?
@@KonnorStringham take a look at his diff shimming video. Lots of good tips there for RTR diffs!

Hey Rich love your vids!! If you don't mind me asking, what batteries do you use that stand up to this bashing?
Thanks Brother 🤗. I use mostly Hobbystar compact 6s hardpacks from RCJuice. Usually 5000mah 100c or 4800mah 50c. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Are you running on 8s?
No. 6s with Hobbystar 1730 4092 and Kraton 8s 160A ESC with a 20T pinion. She's got gobs of power. 😎💪👊👊
I found the rebuild bits too. next thing to do is to message M2c to get on a 6s shock system ;)
👍🙏👊
EPIC 👌 💪 👊 Respect for your honesty Rich, letting us know exactly how the truck has held up 💯
Thanks Jason 🤗!!!! The truck has done fantastic overall 👍. Obviously guys have to clean and maintain and take some mechanical ownership, but this rig is designed to take much harder use than the standard 6s no question. 🍻😎💪👊👊
