I don’t understand why it seems to take GW forever to update models? You’d think when they do a range refresh they would update ALL the models for a faction.

The new dark angels codex makes me concerned for all the divergent chapters. Seems overly harsh from the few reviews I have watched so far. Has the introduction of primarius marines been the force to make all divergents more like ultramarines and bring them back to the core detachments over that of their own.
Everything is heading in this direction. The next stage will be to cut another line of models, e.g. RW command squad. It will end up that each chapter will have 1-2 unique units, and the rest will be ultramarines in different colors.
So is there a Detachment that lets you utilize all of the Dark Angels stuff? Like a Jack of All Trades thing sort of like how 9th could? Or there own version of Gladius?

The advance and shoot on the outriders and an attached ATV with a chaplain on bike, gives the unit devastating wounds if they’re shooting at a target with 12 inches and outriders happen to have twin linked bolter rifles to help you fish for those sixes and the ATV also has twin filter rifles mounted on the front. Since the ATV is going to be hard to target since you’ll probably be using outriders as your bodyguards for the chaplain and the ATV, you might as well take the Melta Gun, which will also receive devastating wounds so you can grow a D6 +2 if you happen to score a critical wound. The only thing I’m sure of is whether or not, you can take six ATVs, since someone mentioned the ATV attached to the outriders is not the same data sheet as the ATV with the outrider escort special rule I don’t know if that means the rule of three applies twice? If so, I would probably take a couple of solo ATVs with the assault Cannon, so it can shoot back and it has a longer range with the potential of dealing devastating wounds on its own gun. I would probably take at least two maximum units of outriders with an ATV and a chaplain. Then I would take a unit of black Knight, with the command squad as its leader , but then you left with where to put Samuel could be another unit of black Knight, oddly enough you might want to go command squad with three black knights and a unit of six black nights with Samuel leading the unit. I think the Ravenwing detachment has more potential as you are allowed to zip around the board advancing, shooting falling back it’s going to make you hard to pin down, and since you’re allowed to take other units and still gain the ability from the detachment rule there are intercessors with jump packs and a captain with the option of taking a thunder hammer and a shield. A unit of 10 will grant you two plasma pistols, unless you want the captain to have a power fist and plasma pistol for a total of three plasma pistols in the ability to gain plus one strength on the charge and some random mortal wounds for each model that successfully charges the unit they targeted lens within the engagement range. Or you can take the chaplain with jump pack if you’re more interested in the plus one to wound and dealing random mortal wounds for each unit that is currently engaged with his unit at the start of the fight phase. And then it starts to get probably too pricey at this point, but you’re probably gonna want to take at least two storm speeders or possibly a land, speeder vengeance or the dark shroud. If you’re looking for some durability with proper positioning, you can always fall back and shoot if you have your dark shroud Parked in a certain area where you can fall back within his aura.
