      Presumably these trucks are headed for the Hawkes Bay otherwise they would be going through Foxton on flat roads. When the new Manawatu Gorge by pass road is completed they probably won’t use this route. I was bought up in Shannon, Makerua more precisely but left before I could legally drink at the Club shown in the video or the Albion at the school end of town since burnt down as was Hyde’s picture theatre which use to be opposite the DC3 presumably pinched from Mangaweka.

    I also like checking out trucks in my channel! I visited the DAF museum in the Netherlands! I also recently saw some Renault Magnums!
    What an interesting blend of trucks in New Zealand, rare American trucks European trucks and even Japanese truck! But then I guess it's the geographic location that determines which is the best to pick from.
    American trucks offer comfort, I assume more power and payload.
    European trucks offer quality and brand reputation.
    Japanese trucks offer reliability.
    Here in Belgium (and the EU overall) you would never see this sort of combination! It's mainly European competitors.

      I don't like red indicators, when use the emergency lights while you hard breaking, the person behind don't know if it is an emergency breaking or a normal breaking or you have taillight malfunction. The North American vehicles implement the 3rd stop light for this problem in the 70s, meanwhile the European ones still have 2 stop lights until the 90s because we have got amber lights for indicators at the beginning

    Beautiful rigs ladies and gentlemen down under. I just have a question for y'all and drivers in Europe. Why cab-overs and not a lot of long noses? Seems to me the cab-overs would get horrible gas mileage.

    • @dallasfrost1996
      @dallasfrost1996 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The biggest benefit to Cab-Overs is size. In places like Europe, roads are very tight/narrow. Cab-overs are smaller, therefore can navigate tight roads noticeably better than conventional style trucks. Here in N.Z, as seen in this video, we use both Long-Nose and Cab-Over style trucks.

    How much total weight you get on 4-axel truck and 4-axel trailer together? Norway gives max 60 ton whatever you have of configuration. Single tipper 3-axel 26 ton. Single truck 4-axel 32 ton.

    • @gudmundleirvik4833
      @gudmundleirvik4833 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Normally on modern trucks you hav up till 10 ton front axel, and 18 ton boggiepress, and 24 ton triple axels.

      Heavy large tyre, there's a mega tyre also,
      Large single tyre 7200kg/7.9ton
      on that axle..
      large double tyre 8209kg/9ton
      on that axle..
      Steering Axle large tyre 7200kg ...
      A HPMV, permit can allow you,
      (it's been awhile) I'm sure it's 63tons
      you'll have to stay close, or on main Routes.

      Roads are quite windy here.. you will never go straight for very long, twin steer wheels help weight distribution ease on front.. im not sure if you can see the other videos of trucks going on bends in hill and other areas in this channel.. you might notice the difference
