I ended up giving up on this game. I wanted to do conflict zones the most, but whenever I tried, the moment I chose a side, the opposing ships would just forget what they were doing and all attack me at once. How are you preventing that from happening?
You usually gain aggro the second you start firing on an enemy. AI also priorities which ever enemy is closest to them as well when battle begins. It's probably best to wait a few seconds outside of the main zone until all second wave spawns in that way the AI has a chance to engage the other AI. After that then pick a side and pick your targets. If you're getting ganged up on, speeding away for a bit until they lose interest by getting shot from other AI could help get them off you.
I 'm still waiting for the day when they release a Mass Effect style space game with realistic space combat like Elite Dangerous. Star Citizen doesn't look very promising.
Conflict Zones are all about Endurance. So make sure you get the best possible shields for your ship as well as the Shield Cell Banks and Shield Boosters. Engineer according to what you experience. Take your time with your engineering.
@@Blaze33405 thanks! I've only engineered a little bit as I haven't had time to actually dedicate to gathering mats. Can you post your ship build? The link in the comment below doesn't actually show anything for me

Why'd your own allies attack you at the end?
My guess is they got hit by accidental crossfire.
