Love Royal Caribbean cruise lines. We are Dimond members and loving it. We have five cruises scheduled for 2023. That will bring us to 22 cruises total. 2024 is just around the corner, so we need to start booking for next year.
I'm Diamond on Royal, and I agree with most of what you said. The exception is the new theatrical shows, which have come down in quality. Not the fault of the performers, but the content.
Our family is in our 12 th, cruise all by one w RCL, and when I spoke w other passengers, my gist is that if we went w another line, we would be highly critical! Bc it’s seemed that RCL does the best, and this video pointed out the little things w get taken for granted, ie. housekeeping!!
For me the destinations are the most important. Whatever ship is going where I want to go, at a price I can afford... I'm on it. I think R.C. is the only standard cruise line I haven't been on.
Don…thank you! The regular drink package can be as high as $30 per day, per person! The deluxe package w alcohol can be over $75 pp per day. If you have the drink package, you can show your card & get fresh squeezed OJ. Without the package, you get a cheap, Tang type substitute for OJ. RCCL no longer has cracked black pepper in the dining room. I’ve had to ask for strawberry jam in the Windjammer & I’ve been brought out a bowl of what tastes & looks like cranberry sauce. They charge $16.99 for a 2nd overcooked lobster tail now. Their specialty restaurants are not very special. Expensive, but not quality dining. Straws w your cocktail by the pool are made of paper now. Bring your own plastic straws. String bikinis are allowed & women look naked from behind. They are not very family friendly when the bikinis show the entire buttocks. You can barely see the string between the buns that hold the thing together. Children shouldn’t be around that when at the pool, but there are hundreds of butts showing every day. Excursions have gotten ridiculously expensive & overcrowded.
I have 3 more RCCL booked for 2023 but they don’t treat their loyal people very well. The benefits on each level of Crown & Anchor are meager. They nickle & dime passengers. Cocktails are $15 plus 18% gratuities!! A beer is over $8. Their newer ships have the smallest cabins. They have no bathing suit code so very young girls & even flabby older women wear string bikinis. It’s disturbing to families who have to see women’s total buttocks w a string going up their cracks while holding the small patch in the front. From behind, it’s like these females are naked.
😂😂😂 At least in the tourist areas we frequent, we have always been very well served by Americans, in restaurants, hotels, transport services and airports. We are from Brazil, and believe me, it is not like that around here. The contrast is great. You have to know how to choose places. The only 2 cruise companies that do cabotage here are horrible (MSC and Costa). Our next cruise will be with Royal in USA. We love it!

As a D+ cruiser, with 252 day on board . On RCL soft drinks (sodas) are not included.

RCI is probably the greediest and most aggressive cruise lines in taking out real values of the cruise experience and replacing it with gimmicks.
We don't think so, we've traveled with cruise lines that just ruined the cruise experience. RCL is still our favorite. But we respect your opinion.
