Another thing is, people be lost in day to day mundane activities and not much in daily stoic routines for really taking care of Mind and Body, leave alone connected to Spirit that's another topic altogether.
Sometimes, it's enough to know we ARE the Purpose, in itself. Lots of things of value, talents, interests and hobbies can be found in conjunction to work sphere, that can make us tap into unlimited resources as we're originally born limitless, later on become the Mind and put on Self limitations given to societal conditioning, naysaying since childhood, unresolved subconscious patterns that we never got to face/address until confronted consciously, especially during Meditative practice (conscious content - as it slowly taps into subconscious, eventually).
Probably much info but, in my opinion, we ARE the Purpose. We just need to recognize how powerful yet humble we can become.

Here's my belief, don't be stuck on getting to a "destination". For all of us, the destination is the same, death. We'll all get there so don't stress about it. As for the purpose of life, I truly believe that it is simply for us to experience life.
Life is not a problem to be solved, it's an experience to be experienced.
And I also believe that we are meant to have definite chief aims that will change. To not be identified by one thing but to experience whatever we want to experience whenever we want to experience it.
    Intentional living.

I was in a new friends bathroom and there was a book on the sink. I turned it over and the quote said “if you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging” idk why but it just clicked for me finally. It was so practical. I'm a writer. I work because I have to pay bills, eat, want shelter etc. But regular jobs dont give me fulfillment. What gets me going is writing. I can write for hours and be happy.
My goal now is to do it professionally so I can live doing my dream. That's the art I do and most people dont believe in that anymore. That's why lots of people work jobs they hate.
Right now I'm trying to find practical ways to promote my work and make connections. I actually started just writing fan stories like Avatar: Macai's Journey. I have gotten over 400,000 views for it, but not a cent so I cant live off it. But now I'm trying to push for an original series.

Everything you talked about is stuff that you realize when you use entheogens. I need to watch this every week or so to be reminded of those lessons. Incredible work.
Edit: Went back and re-watched to summarize for later use-
How to Unfuck Your Life (or How to Reinvent Yourself)
    Way 1- Change your Environment
Shift environment to shift thinking, shift thinking to shift habits
Way 2-Resist Urge to give in to Feelings of Learned Helplessness
If you think that nothing you do matters, that your life is worthless in the grand scheme of the universe, you basically give up on life- life has no real purpose or meaning, so why try?
Way 3- Our Purpose is to Create New Meaning
The solution to these feelings of learned helplessness is that we find our own meaning. If we can't find meaning, we must make meaning. Our purpose now is to find our purpose. If we don't know what to do, try doing the opposite of how we feel. The opposite of learned helplessness is enthusiasm. What can you start to get truly excited about? For most people that involves setting a goal. Having a goal is less about what you get out of it, it's about having an outlet to channel your enthusiasm.
    Way 4- Fixing What Sucks
When life is hard we tend to fall into
    1. Deflections: Making light of our misery
    2. Substitutes: We find other forms of satisfaction, diminishing our misery
    3. Intoxicants: Become insensitive to misery
What you resist, persists. Avoiding your misery does not make it go away. If your friend were to complain about a headache while banging their head on a wall, you wouldn't ask them “how does the wall make you feel?” or “What is the root cause of this wall banging?”. You would just tell them to fucking stop. You would tell them how it is and what they need to do to feel better. You need to tell it how is to yourself. No matter how uncomfortable and painful it is. If you feel like your life is fucked, quit banging your head against the wall now!

Recently me and my girlfriend broke up. The cause was my trust issues. I know the break up was necessary because I was hurting her with my issue. She said we both need time to heal and work on ourselves.
I’m really hard on myself. I know I should focus my time and energy working on myself and bettering myself. I’m also starting a new job. But the break up has affected me. I feel I lost someone wonderful and beautiful because of my trust issue and overthinking. I’m down on myself and have no motivation except to grieve. This video came out at the right moment. But regardless it’s hard. I hurts a lot.

I really feel for you. My trust issues were a huuuge source of issues in my first real relationship that broke off about 4 months ago..after 2+ years. You have to know to nottt be hard on yourself at all, especially at a time like this. treat yourself how you would treat your inner child regarding the breakup. Baby yourself bro. its 100% ok to just be motivationless for a while in order to have a chance to fully feel your emotions and allow it to pass without causing future issues; dont force yourself around it, there's no trick to it, you must allow your heart to feel everything and then you will be able to properly recover

I really loved most of the video, just wanted to say about the last advice - sometimes people know exactly what is making their life difficult, and it's not always fixable. Recognizing problems is important, but usually not enough. Of course, you can try to look at these problems differently, accept them, but it's not an easy process.

    • @AstroHierarchy
      @AstroHierarchy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

it's definitely not an easy process. i wish everyone luck and courage to overcome their problems or find an alternative to somehow live better.... for me, after more than 7 years of wanting to get therapy but never having enough money to afford one, i will be starting one next month :) I'm both relieved and scared because i want to improve, learn how to deal with my trauma and crippling social anxiety. and i think even wanting to change your life (even if you're unable tp at the moment) is a big step that everyone should be proud of, no matter how long it takes to take another step. sending love!

This hit hard. I had a breakup, a challenging new job and relocated (just locally, but a much different lifestyle) all in a 60 day period. I am at a weird point where nothing in my life is familiar. I've always been into cooking but my drive is low for that right now. I like wine, but I'm catching myself overindulging for the novelty of it. I'm not sure where to go or what to do right now but I am in the gym every day, losing weight and doing well at work, at least. So I think I will challenge myself with the cooking (I do run a small side business for personal chef work- maybe a challenge could be to grow the business by getting my work out a lot more on social media). Thanks for the kick in the ass. I really don't want to start circling the drain of depression right now. It's going to be a long winter as it is.

Hi. I was a chef for 27 years. Some of what you said sounds like me. In my late 30's I went through career change, midlife crisis, depression and a drinking problem. I no longer knew what I wanted. For four years I was stuck in life.
I was angry things weren't going my way. I felt the universe was against me, negative, bitching about life. What got me out of that rut? A simple mindset shift. I got tired of myself. I got tired of my own negativity, so I did one thing: I made a choice. I decided I would no longer be negative. I decided to be positive, practice gratitude and focus on what I can control as opposed to focusing on what I cannot control. We all have a choice. And ou owe it to yourself to be the best version of yourself you can be

The dog experiment reminds me of a study I read about where they took rats and they dropped them in a fish tank they couldn’t climb out of and timed them. 45 minutes in the rats start drowning they’re all dead before an hour passes. They drop the next batch of rats in only this time they pull them out at 40minutes dry them off let them rest for the remaining time and at the hour mark they drop them back in and 5 hours later those same rats were still swimming. Cause they believed that eventually help would come the last one made 6 hours before succumbing to fatigue.

There is no such thing as purpose. Whichever path you take is the right one, it's not the path that matters but the people you travel that path with. Life is just a trip that goes on and on forever until you die. Surround yourself with people you love and travel your own path.

I just found your channel here today. Probably not ironic considering I was looking for words leading me to a happier life. It's been difficult since the pandemic began and I gained 30 pounds and am now 61. But I am working on that. But after viewing numerous vids of yours, i am reflecting on how i got here and why not only it so difficult to lose the weight, but why i lack motivation, confidence and self love. That is something I have not understood...how to love yourself if you know you don't. I will keep on this quest for self discovery, but in the mean time I am enjoying your vids. Thanks you.

Hello. I am 52 and can relate to some of what you say. In my late 30's I felt stuck in life for four years. I left the career I loved for 27 years and just felt lost. I hated life. Stopped taking care of myself, was depressed, down, drinking too much, gained 40 pounds. What was it that finally got me out of that rut? A simple mindset shift. I got tired of being negative and blaming the universe for everything. So one day, fed up with myself and my victim mentality, I thought, "OK, there are certain things I cannot change right now. But there are some things I can change in my life, so I will focus on those. I also made a decision to be positive and practice gratitude for what I did have. We all have a choice. Be the architect of our life, or be a victim of it. I chose the former.

You cannot ask life for the meaning of life, as life will only present you with yourself, hence, you are the meaning of the lift, and in all these challenges you may find in life, it's simply life giving you an opportunity to give something your own purpose and meaning. You are the creator.

Starts video at 11:11*** If that's not a sign I don't know what is! Honestly before my husband moved out I started changing my appearance and even everything in my home. I asked for guidance in breaking habits and addictions that nolonger serve me and bam. It started happening. I'm even attending a couple of outtings with my friends so that'll be fun. I started doing the things I was passionate about for most of my life.(I don't know when I stopped doing that. )I am an Artist. I picked up my brush again and started working on a canvas I never finished. I'm doing my graphic design art again. I'm doing so many things again it's crazy. The cards have also all been saying get creative for the longest time as well. This journey is messy at times but most definitely oh so rewarding🦋🦋🦋

Hi Clark, im in the middle of watching this and just HAD to pause to type this....im 22 and a very serious Meth addict, and i atm got to such a state where i dont really even enjoy getting high, only for about the first 1-2 hours of the 12-16 hour range of the high, my dopamine is so shot to the point that i dont really feel the euphoria and GOD level narcissism/self assurance(feeling like i could accomplish anything and everything) that sucked me into that addiction in the very first place, all i feel now is straight nausea and brain damage(head spin and disassociation) to at times where i act and feel like im autistic....BUT at the same exact time, i cant stop craving it and even when i feel all those effects i stated or even on my horrendous comedown, i STILL want it and think of ways to get more! I keep on looping over the same exact pattern and cannot seem to get out, now i never even heard of you, or seen any of your videos, and just randomly had youtube recommend this very vid, already it is somewhat giving me some thought to how i live my life, and how i should do the very opposite, as i dont know how or what i should do to even just simply attempting to fix my life, but now well im thinking "hey, if i wanna stop doing meth and dont know where to start... maybe just do the opposite of what a methhead would". I also am actually already in the "learn helplessness" tip, i really do feel like everything, life.. all of it is meaningless, so why even try to get clean? maybe just maybe i just have to find the meaning.

Hi, im 22 started at a new colledge. Have a great girlfriend that supports me and is extremely careing. I had nothing going for me the past few months, every time ive gone down and down and down deeper into a rabithole. Fukcing myself being paranoid having little to no path in life. Ive started seeing a psyhc and having something new in life to do. Not just saying im a shit at everything and living dayy to day. Im really early into everything being scared of new things is normal and doing something out of the ordinery is part of the norm. thats life. Maybe this is kind of a jumbled mess.
But my advice is too stop careing and do what you want in life you set your goals and expectations. And if you pass them set some more. You take shit ast your pace dont let others dictate how you feel about yourself. That is sometimes the root of the problem.
