    Thanks for the video and advice. I've had the TFL Savers sitting in a box for months, because I've been dreading using other youtubers video suggestions on breaking the tire bead (2x4, skateboard, $69 dedicated tire bead breaker, etc.). Your suggestion using an adjustable bar clap was genius and a simple tool I had - worked like a charm!
    Geez whiz info - for my stock FM treaded GT tire it took about 50-52psi to seat both tire beads on install.

      They say it’s not compatible but from my experience with them it just rubs a little bit and will get broken in after 10miles. I only noticed a scraping at first when I went in reverse.

    I do have a question when you’re out riding what settings are you at Flow Highline?… I ask because I feel if I nose down like I see you in your videos my board will take off like a rocket and I don’t know if I have full control when I take the nose half inch from black top just curious keep the videos coming they’re awesome. Thx

    • @ThatsGinterEV
      @ThatsGinterEV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Much Thanks! I was riding in Highline for a while, but have recently started riding in Flow. It aids in smoother acceleration and braking, and can be more forgiving if you are a heavier rider. Even though I'm on the lighter side, it still helps reduce power surge in tricky situations (rocky desert trails). But no matter what ride profile you prefer, it will come down to getting used to the torque of the motor at different speeds, slopes, terrain, etc. The more you ride, the more of a "feel" you get for it, but you do have to push the board, and yourself, to the limit every so often to know the thresholds. Hope that helps! 🤙🏼

    • @ThatsGinterEV
      @ThatsGinterEV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most modifications you do to your Onewheel could be a considered a "warranty voided" situation if you ask Future Motion's legal team lol. But as far as actually breaking any "Warranty Void" stickers, nope, none that you'll remove here, it's basically 1 step away from a tire change. 🤙🏼

    For when the Enduro comes in, boil the Float Life Savers. It makes the rubber more supple, if a bit warm to put on. Also, the Dewalt Gyroscopic Screwdriver is clutch for plucking the board apart without destroying various parts of your hand/fingers.

    Tip for you on power tools, I dont think you should use them on the hub bolts because there is a chance you can shear off threads with something to torquey. For that you just want a longer handle ratchet or a breaker bar, but I've heard the hub bolts shouldnt be too tight from the factory if you have a standard ratchet.
    As for power tools as an electrician I like milwaukee, but every other trade seems to prefer dewalt. For home use I have Ridgid power tools because they warranty the batteries for life. The batteries definitely don't last for life, but its easy tog et replacement batteries under the warranty if you register the tools!

    • @ThatsGinterEV
      @ThatsGinterEV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Travis! Thanks a lot for the advice... sheering or just damaging the threading is something I'm always trying to be cautious of! Yea, I def need to get a longer ratchet of some sort...need that extra leverage!

    You said they “pretty much worked” did the rims still get scratched?

    • @ThatsGinterEV
      @ThatsGinterEV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the heat was getting to me lol, they definitely worked on my messed up bonks/nudges…I just didn’t have a hard enough impact to go “definitely saved my rim on that one!”. Honestly, for under $30 bucks, it’s a no brainer buy. If you dent your rim bad, that’s a whole new GT @ $2200+ since you can’t buy just a replacement rim.

  • @Chewbaccawheel

    Throw some armor chilloz or statorade in your motor next video. Especially with that AZ heat it would really keep your motor from overheating and shutting down suddenly.

    Sugar is super bad for your health Ginter....
    At 300 miles of experience with my GT now and curb nudges are bad for my health...kind of painful for me right now lol...end up picking myself off the pavement. I need to find a curb leading into grass lol. What do ya think....should I keep trying to learn with my stock GT or would the 3Dway Wedges help me learn curb nudges quicker? Got the curb drops down but it'd be useful in getting around town to learn the other direction too. Thanks for sharing!

    • @ThatsGinterEV
      @ThatsGinterEV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha, yea...I have a sweet tooth, but usually it's for chocolate =). I learned how to curb nudge without any assistance from flight fins or wedges... so it's hard for me to say if it'll help you learn faster as it is more of a cheat (but if it works it works!). The trick is technique + timing + lots of practice. I learned on a short curb, and took it slow until things started to click. Contrary to belief, you don't have to ride fast or slam hard to pull it off.

    Hi I am also a fellow GT owner and as I can see from your other videos you've had to send your board back three times. My board is at FM right now for the fourth time so I guess I am now the leader in how many times I've had to send it back lol this time it was a bad motor. Just asking for your opinion. Should I sell my GT when I get it back and then buy a new one in a couple months and then hope that one doesn't have any problems. Or should I just keep mine and hope it doesn't break again. It's just that I can't keep sending this thing back when my warranty expires.

    • @tanner32844
      @tanner32844 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, I would love to hear anyone's opinion on this situation

    • @ThatsGinterEV
      @ThatsGinterEV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aww man...that sucks. I think it depends on how badly you want the GT to work. If you have an XR or other PEV you enjoy, I don't see why you NEED the GT now. I had a friend with ghosting issues multiple times, and on his last full replacement board, it still ghosted. He was fed up and just asked for a refund from FM and they obliged. So maybe try it one last time and if it still gives you problems, request a refund - that way you get your full money back, cause if you sell it yourself, you might not. After the dust settles, hopefully future GTs will be problem free.
