That Figo 1.5 is a cracking motor. Reminds me of my old Mazda Rustler 160i which moved quickly. I think you advice was not from a petrol heads perspective. In every performance aspect I think the Figo would kill the xline.
Guys I like your reviews, but you should try to get cameras with proper gimbals, those camera judders really takes away from the piece. And all the wind noise in the mics. Eish.
The Ford Figo looks dated, particularly from the front. The Kia Picanto X-line is altogether a better looking car. I've come back to this review two years' later as I am finally ready to get another car. The Picanto has better specs - electric windows front and rear, rear view cameras to help with parking, and a better infotainment system. By comparison the Ford Ka+ (Zetec and Active) as this model is known as in the UK, seems a bit basic - you have to pay for better specs, even for the Active - and it costs more. It was also discontinued in 2020 and not many are knocking around. However, a VW Polo markV is also up for consideration and is still in the number one spot.
as you said... looking at price sensitivity in this market and the R.25k in the kia's favour, you have to mention the extra 2 years of service and piece of mind in the ford. Also, if you want that Kia 5 year warranty, you going to be forking out 3 years of dealership service which is surely going to increase the ownership price of the Kia. Any idea on the real world consumption figures since you drove both cars back to back?

The engine in the Figo is mad pokey. But man the Picanto just feels more rounded

Love the content, just the camera work was a lil shoddy at times, I kept waiting for someone to clean the camera
Kia Picanto ever and forever
