Loved this video. Just a few weeks ago we had dinner at a nice restaurant with friends, the woman next to us, had her phone on the table and every time she received a notification, we were blinded by the strobe light
Oh, Petra, I’m so sorry that was your experience! Sometimes we can get so self-absorbed, that we just, unintentionally, disrupt everyone around us, by using our cell phone. It sounds so simple, but please, everyone, pack your mobile when you’re going out for a nice evening out-enjoy the company, enjoy the conversation, enjoy the evening, your cell phone will be there for you the moment you leave the restaurant. Thank you Petra, I so appreciate your very kind comment! Warmest regards, Heidi💕
I don’t like it when I call someone & they ask me about something important. I start to go into the whole story of whatever it is & just as I’m into deep conversation with them… I’m mid sentence with “and that’s when the car hit us!!” I hear my friend say “Yes, also a large Coke and a milkshake please” as if she’s talking to me. 😑. She’s at the drive-thru or talking to the bank teller & trying to convince me she’s only listening to me about my big deal story … Why!!! Just call me when you’re able to truly listen. It’s rude & then she’ll say “So what we’re you saying?”… making me repeat things.
Hello April! Thank you so much for watching and I absolutely love your comment! I agree completely with your sentiment. Actually, I thought about your comment quite a bit. Your spot on, so many times you’re in a deep conversation and then someone orders a skinny latte, what the heck?! I admire people who can multitask, but listening is a solo event. I have done several videos, and I give entire lectures and seminars just around, listening. So many people think they’re great listeners, actually most of us think we’re a great listener, when, in truth, few of us really are. Thank you so much for pointing this out, and hopefully we can start a new push for respect when having a conversation with someone, and truly being present and engaged in the conversation without any other interruptions, or distractions. I’d be thrilled if you’d be so kind as to subscribe to my channel, and help me spread the word. I’m sending your very best wishes for an amazing day! Warm regards, Heidi.💕💕🦻
Thank you Scott! Some casual restaurants it’s fine to take a picture but depending on where you are, and the culture, sometimes it’s appropriate to ask to have your camera out for a photo and then store it. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch and leaving such a good comment!
Hello! I’m terribly sorry you found this video so offensive. What could I do to make it better in your opinion? I’m constantly working to improve myself and the videos and would really appreciate any constructive criticism. Thank you and best wishes for a terrific day!
I think if you are educating people on issues, you want it to be short and sweet. You don't want to get to the end of a lesson and have forgotten the 1st point already. 1,5mins to make your 1st point and then too much elaboration and repetitiveness. Btw Don't agree with that asking if you can take pictures of food falls within cell phone etiquette. I completely agree with your cause as I feel things are getting worse not better and the biggest culprits are often senior management.!
Thank you so much for this video. I really learned a lot. ❤

I never would have thought to ask the waiter for permission to take a picture of my food - what a great idea

Smart phone users should be trained for smartphones manners, smartphones manufactures, internet providers should advocated these manners to the users.
Just listening to that video was worse than poor cellphone etiquette
