Another fantastic video James, the drones WILL become part of UK farming, but I’m with cousin Michael at present. All the best to the entire PX team for a great festive break 👍
I new a guy who had a British airways pilot decorate his house during COVID, he made a superb job of his landing, time has really flown past since then and his decorating business has really took off. This is just a modern way of crop dusting, I have seen spay drones used in Nebraska in Laura farms videos.
Thankyou James , your team and especially Tom for making your PX Farms video actually happen, must be a tremendous amount of time and effort that goes into editing them etc before us lot view them. I certainly think after this Autumn that “ October WInter Barley drillers will be losers”😢, easy for me to say that as roadside farmer from my pickup truck.😊 Wishing all at PX Farms and all PX You Tube followers a “ Safe and Healthy 2025”🥂👍
Happy Xmas James, your drones remind me of aerial spraying in the 1970's when products had to have aerial clearance & micron sprayers came in, with spinning discs replacing nozzles. A drone won't be able to carry high volume, so won't be useful for situations where crop penetration is required. Legislation will be the delay for drones, so i suggest a 48 metre sprayer will probably be a better option for the near future. Us 'swede bashers' from Kent are looking foreward to your open day, regards, Tim Whitehead
Another great video James these guys might be the ones that seeded one of Olly’s fields and a merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family and all the team 🎅🎅👍👍🍺🍺🍺
Another great interesting video hope you all your family and the team have a very merry Christmas and a happy prosperous new year. Thank you for all the had work you all do.
Brilliant video James, definitely an interesting subject, as a qualified drone pilot this is something i’d really like to get into, looks like i’ll be giving these guys a follow! Happy new year!
Happy Christmas James, family and staff. Thank you for a brilliant 2024, here is to next year and hopefully some positive news for farming and small businesses in general.
Thanks for winding up the year with a very interesting feature. I do enjoy following your exploits. Whilst I studied Ag Eng at the old Rycotewood College near Thame, I never worked in the industry for long. Seasons Greetings to one and all and looking forward to following yr progress in 2025.
Thank you James and your team for the great video content, have a fantastic Christmas although late and a very healthy 2025. Drones I feel are great for slug pellets and localised spraying but regulations CAA etc will prove a issue so ground based applicators will still be great tool. Once again well done all.
Thanks James for a great video. It will be interesting to see how drones are used in the future, I remember seeing planes used for crop spraying, now it is drones. I hope you have a good Christmas and a happy new year. Did you and Michael have a pre Christmas weigh in? Many thanks James, looking forward to next year's videos.
Hi James another great video looking forward to 2025 videos coming up next year being very informative merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family and the team at PX farms kind regards John
Really enjoy the content and the insight of how a large arable operation works throughout the year, wishing whole team a relaxing festive break, happy Christmas to you all.
hi james thank you so much for your insie to kelly turkrys it was tge best you otue i have everyewarched kep up the good work small farmer in east berks edwin hayes
Great video. I've seen drone spraying in the same rice operation as draft water buffalo in Thailand, a combination of technology and historic I never expected to see. Combining new and old ideas appears to be the way forward for low impact farming.
Hi James, Like the 25k acre target the 25k subscribers alludes you for a little longer. It has been much appreciated, you sharing your insights and foresights into the challenges that are everyday farming. A Happy Chuckle Cousins Christmas from me to you, and all the team that have endured to made you look good on camera. 🎄
James. Had a meeting with CAA in London some years ago now to discuss many issues, such as flying near private properties. We saw it as having say a Hive in the yard so the UAVs could come in dock ,refill and go again, all automated which was a problem for the authorities, one day it will happen just hope we don't get left behind as other countries forge ahead such as Japan. Wishing you and all the team a very Happy Christmas and here's to a better New Year even if it just the weather that's better.
fantastic farming at its best i love it great machinery great people the weather is always going against your best thought out plans my question is are there any english partridge on this land or any bird life that was here years 60 years ago i would be interested if there are any compromises to this farming system and how you have planned to negate the effects on nature yes i am a fan of your farming and yes i would love to come and see it in practice and yes i think you are intelligent enough to answer this question best wishes steve
Interesting video. I can remember when I was growing up watching helicopters putting blight spray onto potato crops here in the Fens. Some of it actually ended up on the intended target! 😂
These agri-drones have really taken off in the US (and Ukraine) and seem to be going well. It’s not a replacement, as was stated but, like Michael, I’d like to witness scientific trials under a variety of meteorological conditions. Your videos have been the highlight of my TH-cam consumption this year. It’s so refreshing to see real farmers grapple with and (generally) solve problems and raise issues affecting the industry and highlight the issues that politicians cause and so very rarely understand. You have a wonderful team, a great work ethic and I wish PX Farms and all those associated with it a wonderful Christmas and my very best wishes to you all for 2025. Bravo !
As a long term commercial drone operator this was very interesting. Big drones!! I agree that in the short/medium term they will be used to access crops which can't easily be sprayed or where you have wet ground where conventional machines can't travel. Hopefully the CAA won't hinder progress. Hope you have a good break and looking forward to the Open Day.
Hi James Chris from crop angel done well coming from Norfolk getting around A11 roundabout !!😜 I think the drones will be handy on spot treatment of selective weeds. And also be handy to treat area's of bad manganese deficiency if it's too wet to travel with a boom sprayers. Merry Christmas James to you and your family and all at PX Farming
I've seen these being used on vine yards where the terrain is awkward, imagine once fields are seeded being able to apply slug pellets , fertilizer and weed control chemicals from the drone , take aerial photos to look for problems but also there would be no need for tram lines , how much extra yield would that produce? and less compaction of the soil. I've enjoyed watching PX Farms Ltd this year after discovering the channel in the summer. Happy Christmas to you all and all the best for 2025 ⛄🎄🎁
just seeing the shed of dreams briefly in there, is there a fire suppression system going to be installed? just thinking of all the money sat in an enclosed space, just takes one critter to chew a wire and cause a spark or a vehicle put away hot and the whole lot will go up?
Further to this video I have seen a US Version of Drone Spray application on The Millennial Farmers TH-cam channel . I agree with Cousin Michael , Accuracy in a highly sensitive environmental industry could cause problems. I’ve never understood how large scale aerial spray applications by aeroplanes can be accurate ?
Great video James. I was just chatting to my neighbour today about drones and i mentioned to him about one of Arnold schwarzenneger's films in the opening scene of terminator how the drone type machines were hunting down the last surviving people on earth. Makes one wonder with AI in it's infamy and ever developing with drones and BG and EM with their tech maybe one day it could be? Just saying 🤷♂️
No deep wheelings James and much more versatile as its much less weather restrictions. I've seen 2 13 gallon drones spray fields as quick, if not quicker than a self propelled 120 boom spayer. The contractors currently running & hoping to sell these systems have plenty of spare batteries & one man can just about keep up with 2 drones. I'm certain we're looking at the future here, in 10 years they will be common place. 😎
Hi James merry Christmas to you and all we applied to the hse for us to spray with a drone for mosquitoes not even a insecticide a natural substance we had to jump through hoops very difficult we did get trial licences eventually but they were not keen
I saw these type of drone being used by the Millenial farmer in Minissota actually spraying fungicides but did not find the outcome of there use. Merry Christmas to you all.
We operate these drones and others within flight restricted areas, we request permission from the airspace managers and everyone has been very accommodating.
There's a future for drone spraying but as a last result applications when conditions aren't favourable much like people with quad bikes spreading slug pellets. If a farmer is going to run a sprayer with the associated running and purchase costs he isn't going pay extra for a drone sprayer. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and wish for easier and happier times in 2025.
Yes just think, soon we will have a World full of such machines doing everything for us and a World full of human beings idling around with nothing to do.
Drones certainly have their place in Agriculture, what pisses me off are these guys selling them for such horrendous prices. Here in Canada they want 40,000 dollars, you can buy a DJI 50 direct from China for 14,000.
the drone wont very help full where there are no fly zones and theres alot of them, hes going to need alot of batterys to keep it in the air 10hrs a day
We operate these drones and can fly in all areas of the UK, even flight restricted areas are possible once we request and receive permission from the relevant airspace manager, also we fly all day with just 2 batteries on turnaround, tech has come a long way.
I dont like this. I am old school I admit, but this is not farming. there is no passion with this. I dont see you getting the public on side with these methods. The government dont want the small family farm anymore, they have made that clear, this plays into their hands nicely.
Its mad how things have come full circle, we used to have chemicals, fertiliser and stubble turnips applied by light aircraft and it was brilliant, no wheelings no compaction and very high workload until people complained and it stopped but now everyone is going to go back to doing it by light aircraft allbeit smaller aircraft, it confuses me how short peoples memories are because the same leaning people will be the same ones that stop you using drones, and multiple drones when you could have one light aircraft you coulkdnt make it up
Another fantastic video James, the drones WILL become part of UK farming, but I’m with cousin Michael at present. All the best to the entire PX team for a great festive break 👍
Shed of dreams looked great with the PX fleet parked inside.
I new a guy who had a British airways pilot decorate his house during COVID, he made a superb job of his landing, time has really flown past since then and his decorating business has really took off. 100% we used to do it in the 50s 60, 70, and 80s

Another good video as always ,the shed of dreams looking good with all the machinery in it James . Wishing you a Happy Christmas and New Year
Thanks for all the videos in 2024. Epic, in my book. Wishing the PX Team a great and SAFE 2025.
thank you for a wonderful year in video. merry christmas
great video james merry xmas to you and all at px farms and all the best for 25

Belated Merry Christmas, James. I enjoy your videos from South Dakota, USA.

Agree , used spinning discs, CDA in the 80s on a 12mtr mounted sprayer.
Another great video James these guys might be the ones that seeded one of Olly’s fields and a merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family and all the team 🎅🎅👍👍🍺🍺🍺

Be interesting to hear Micheal Horsch and Theo leeb’s view on this type of approach. Great video. Happy Christmas.

Bit of networking with private jet pilot, ski trip coming up, Stansted down the road…. 😂
Interesting video. I can remember when I was growing up watching helicopters putting blight spray onto potato crops here in the Fens. Some of it actually ended up on the intended target! 😂
Fascinating as ever. There’s plenty of TH-cam videos of drone spraying in 🇺🇸 👀

Merry Christmas to all at PX
Good Xmas - look forward to the videos in 2025!!
How about a farm and equipment tour??
Border View Farm channel has just got a drone. Nathan is going through the licensing, hoping to fly it in the spring. Very happy Christmas to you all.
I’m struggling to see past the 100l sprayer tank.
Merry Christmas to you all mate
Happy Christmas to you all I have seen drones on TH-cam on these big farms over in America they say the same not sure
You making good videos but i find the sound to be abit quiet on them 👍😊
Happy PXmas to you all, see you in the new year, have a nice restful break.
just seeing the shed of dreams briefly in there, is there a fire suppression system going to be installed? just thinking of all the money sat in an enclosed space, just takes one critter to chew a wire and cause a spark or a vehicle put away hot and the whole lot will go up?
This aint captain america civil war
The down draft from propellers on the drone is surely going to cause massive turbulence and disturbance to spray patterns.
Further to this video I have seen a US Version of Drone Spray application on The Millennial Farmers TH-cam channel . I could see a possibility of replacing the hilux on slug pelleting.100 kg of pellets can cover a decent area. Happy Christmas to all at PX
Happy holidays, James and all the PX staff, looking forward to the New Year when get into the Spring drilling. 😊
i watched a guy who does this in America. It has 2 drones fully automonus running in sync. On a much larger scale.
Hi James merry Christmas to you and all we applied to the hse for us to spray with a drone for mosquitoes not even a insecticide a natural substance we had to jump through hoops very difficult we did get trial licences eventually but they were not keen
Maybe ok for spot spraying or patches but propeller turbulence could be a problem.
I saw these type of drone being used by the Millenial farmer in Minissota actually spraying fungicides but did not find the outcome of there use. Merry Christmas to you all.
Need an autonomous swarm to do a decent size field. One day maybe
With the Drones, how do you go about using them in no drone zones near raf bases or airports?
We operate these drones and others within flight restricted areas, we request permission from the airspace managers and everyone has been very accommodating.
Where's PX Farms 😮, I'm missing the uploads it's now 2025 are you all ok 🙏🏻. Hopefully see you vids soon 👍🏻
Happy New year to all the team 🥂

@@saslandservicesltd123 im not sure you would be able to fly near a prision or mod site i know you can fly in red zones with permission
i can see them being controlled by AI in a few years
All for progress but in time farm worker won't have job
Skill of working on a farm will always be needed
Says these being used on millennium farmer .was alot better than these were massive an that was spraying the crops
It’s not going to happen stop itt😂😂😂
I dont like this. I am old school I admit, but this is not farming. there is no passion with this. I dont see you getting the public on side with these methods. The government dont want the small family farm anymore, they have made that clear, this plays into their hands nicely.
