I still think to this day that one of the highlights of this short is Peter Lawrence losing it with laughter. "God help us, this is one of the hardest bloody jobs I've ever done".
For real? What a terrific memory to keep (I assume he's passed on, if not he must be at least 120, good innings) but seriously this is a great tribute to the life he lived and also his brilliant dialect, treasure it. Especially where they keep the laughing bits in, great touch.
+Matthew Connolly Find someone with virtually any version of the "Final Cut Pro" (FCP) video editing program and they can brighten it up with a "Color-Correction" plug-in pretty easily just by bringing up the white and mid-tine levels a bit. Or maybe you could buy a version of FCP and do it yourself. FCP is marvelous for restoration work.
Showed my sister this video because we both grew up with the "Creature comforts" Dvd that had this in it. She teared up from pure nostalgia.
I remember that

I've never heard someone so northern in my whole life
He's not Northern, he's from the West Country. Bristol to be exact, where Aardman is based.
@@Internationale7 that makes a lot more sense now that I think about it
@@Internationale7 Gloucester?
