@@lostsanityreturned Mrs. Audio Amigo was convinced for the longest time that IEMs were just something she could never wear. The QKZ x HBB was one of my very first iem purchases around the time it was released. I agree it's still a very good option for bass lovers on a tight budget. Thank you for another great one! 👍
Awesome review, Amigo! I use these with my KZ Bluetooth ear hooks, and they really smash for 20 bucks! I ran these with upgraded cable and tips at first but ended up running them BT.
Again exactly deep dive , I bought this when it came out along with legato but this was cheap so I bought it and didn’t like it and for BASS I ending up buying FatFreq maestro mini and loved it .. again keep up good work
I’d love to have a Maestro Mini someday. But I don’t have the budget right now. I DO however have a preorder for the new Fatfreq x HBB Deuce. So I’m excited for that to come in.
@@no-turdburglars_inc Very similar sounding overall. The BLON Z300 has a better driver, better shells, and a better cable. But it’s also $35. You can get the QKZ X HBB for $15-$20.
@@Hijynx87 it’s funny you mention that. I JUST got a DosCinco in. Mostly to compare with the upcoming Fatfreq x HBB deuce. But I do want to get a cincotres at some point and do a shootout between the twins.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Oooooh I've been wanting to get a warm set that's an upgrade to QKZ HBB, and narrowed my choice to 3, Doscinco, HBB Deuce, Fatfreq Maestro mini. Can't wait for that comparison vid
@@reiness I have the DosCinco, the Deuce is pre-ordered. Unfortunately I don’t have a Maestro Mini. I hope to have one someday or borrow one from someone.
Thanks for another great review! Are you planning for a round up of all of the different thrifty tunes sets? Would be great to see the IEMs sorted by best bass boost, best bright, best neutral, etc.
The mesh mod makes it much more of an all-round daily driver. It’s fantastic for making it sound more balanced and clear. I kinda dig the stock sound though. Kinda like a more balanced and cheaper QKZ x HBB Hades but with more clarity and upper mids/treble energy. I like both the Rosefinch and Hades in stock form. But only for a very limited selection of music, and at certain times.
@@bobeboph this is an excellent question. I think what I need to do first is figure out what my preferred frequency response target would be. I have some ideas for creative driver combos that would be interesting. But usually they come at you with a set of drivers and as you to tune them. So target curve is probably a good first step. I’ll let y’all know when I have one!
I would like to request a review of the Kbear KS1($20) and how it compares to your bassy sets. The squig shows less sub-bass, but more Bass than the HBB. In addition, the KS1 has more treble extension by comparison. So I'm wondering how balanced it is and weather it would be a better choice for someone who wants to dip their toes into the Basshead tuning. Would you consider reviewing the KS1 at some point? I know you have a lot on your table.
Nice review Omar.. I had mine but one of the terminals on the pin connector brittled and broke off.. there was something on the bass though that i found it fatiguing to listen to. . Imo.
Oh yeah. Just like Treble sensitivity, Bass fatigue/sensitivity is totally a thing and I can see it being a problem with this and other "Warmer" sets that boost the midbass to these levels. Thanks for the comment!
Btw are u doing a delci review? My delci ae arrived the other day.and its ok .. like it actually ..sounds similar to a simgot ea500lm or a ew 200. I got mine with a 4.4 termination. The gold nozzles widens the sound spectrum but can only tolerate it on low volumes.. but the silver u can push higher. I think the highs are controlled and bass impact becomes well defined with the divinus wide bore. Though it's also ok with ss tips.
@@AudioAmigoReviews the aeoshida e20 has more or less the same bass amount as the hbb but with extended treble and mid regions. More details. So it's not fatiguing for me. Imo.
That’s a tough one. If I could only have 1, I would pick the Chu:2 because it’s more well-rounded. The QKZ is amazing with some songs, and ok with others, whereas the Chu 2 is good with everything.
waiting for salnotes zero 2 full review please also consider the take of "sharur"(youtuber) iam new to iems but idont know why he hates the og salnotes zero and the oratory1990
Reviews for both Zeros are coming soon! As for Sharur, I personally don’t understand his content. He seems to be a contrarian troll who hates anything successful, but also seems to genuinely believe what he says. If you like his videos, that’s fine. But I would take any purchasing advice he gives with a huge pinch of salt. He says contradictory things all the time and doesn’t back them up.
I wanted to love these so much. But the size and shape and angle of the nozzle juat dod notnfit in my ears. No matter what tips i tried, i could not get them to get a good seal, or stay sealed. Thankfully, they fit my daughter's ears perfectly, and she loves them. And the Z300's fit, literally, better for me in every way. Let's be real honest here, those do not belong in Cool on the Cool Wall, they are Bland, leaning towards Un-Cool for being so gaudy. They would look 10 times better with nothing on the IEM shell.
@@bigbuckoramma Can totally agree with that. But I’m kinda a sucker for things that look stupid hahaha. It’s one of the reasons I ask the ladies for their opinions. :)

The Doscinco is probably the perfect upgrade from this, but it doesn't ruin vocals and make everything sound bassy.

That’s the plan. I have several others to review, (EW100P, the 7Hz Zeros, the Ziigaat Nuo) but when they’re done I’ll do a big roundup.
