Yes my knots were bleached previously. I'm the same way, I have to bleach my knots. It did cause my knots to lighten even more then what they already were but I fixed that with some powder.
Ok....some people are more talented...i know...but babe i tried this and in no time my dark wig had brassy blonde hair in the front. Did everything i could to keep it off the hair...only did the very front hairline UGH! Still adding dark dye to bring it back. Dont know if the perm smell will leave. That rit dye remover smells like a perm
I think if you make the color remover like a paste and just put it on the front of the lace it will work out better, also if you do this BEFORE you bleach the knots won't it just bleach the knots like a regualr bleaching the knots would do?
That's a good idea, maybe that is something that could work! I don't think it will bleach the knots, it will just lighten the color of the black knots, but not to the point of making them, a blonde color like bleach does.
It will lighten the knots more than they already are. You shouldn't be putting the actually hair in the solution so it shouldn't damage your jet black hair.
I have a question I dyed the roots of my lace wig black with permanent hair dye but unfortunately it got on my lace do you think this will help remove at least some of it
I've bleached my knots TWICE using high strength developer (with a break and deep condition in-between) and it still didn't bleach the knots. Luckily the hair roots didn't lighten BUTTT with further research I discovered some companies use a fabric dye which won't lift with hair bleach! (Grrr!) I'm yet to try the recommended Rit Fabric Dye Remover on my wig but I don't want the lace any lighter. Have you or anyone else faced similar issues? Any tips please? Xx
If you couldn’t lift the knots it’s probably because the company dyed the hair prior o ventilating the lace. Hair bleach will not Remove permanent dye. I have had a similar experience. Try “Color Oops” by L’Oréal, that’s what I used and it worked.
I have faced this issue several times the comment on here about color oops is definately true, but definately just use the loreal don't just buy any color remover some are so strong and will destroy hair and I've had huge knots that also just did not want to bleach, stylists presoften hair by putting developer on for 30 minutes and then bleach and it has truely helped me with knots that were just huge and hardly moved in color. Hope you achieve the look you want!
@@KenKen-hp4yq color-oops is for real hair only, it removes hair dye by opening you hair shaft. For synthetic hair or lace material you have to use something specifically made for synthetic fiber....like rit

@@farhia711 if you are going to be dipping the whole frontal in the solution I would say get a specified product for sealing knots. I only put the front portion of my frontal in the solution and I did use got 2be spray as well.

I want to do this but due my hair jet black also. So should I dye my frontal, then bleach the knots, seal, then lighten the lace?
I would lighten the lace before you bleach the knots. Some ppl have said that you may not even have to bleach knots after you lighten the lace.

You are not supposed to get your hair in the water, but the solution did not remove my hair color.

It would remove some of it but, it could cause shedding. So I would suggest just bleaching the knots instead.

if your knots are already bleached, it will lighten them more, that's why it is better to do this before you bleach your knots.

I have not faced that issue before. How long did you let the bleach stay on your wig? And is the wig human hair?

Something you can spray on your lace closures or frontals to minimize shedding.

Did you try leaving it in the solution a little longer? This is only meant to lighten the lace, not totally remove the color.
Did you get any balding after or use knot sealer
I did not get any balding afterwards. But I do recommend using a knot sealer before using this product.
