if anyone's considering this, it goes on sale periodically now for $250. wouldn't buy it for 600 unless I needed it immediately since that's such a deep discount, it's been decent enough for me at 250 that i didn't return it. i dunno if it's worth 600 just bc the jitters can be prohibitive
@@pirasvideo oh and maybe email Moza about the sale.. i'm not sure about their customer servivce but i do believe it was discounted directly from the mfr, so they might be able to tell you if it'll happen again
Great review love your channel this product is pretty cool like you the said price isn’t bad and automating movement for my b-rolls would be really useful to me.
I bought the system because of its connection to the gimbal. I was hoping to use it as you suggest - for simple motion control type shots. The software is just terrible. There is a brute force way to kind of get it to work, but it’s very unprofessional. Tech support was very unhelpful. I’ve bought two different Slypods and gimbals from them, so I’ve given them a lot of my money. the individual pieces are nice, but the advertised function of having them work together isn’t there at all.
I can't seem to find what the latest firmware update is for the slypod pro. Do you know where I can find it? I did an update but I'm not sure if I only need one.
18 months without new Firmware. There is no support for bugs. Moza company is very bad for customer service. Only three functions of the app can be without problems.
Thank you for the video, I found out that investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. It might be wiser for a novice to start with copy trading investing, but it is not easy. To invest in growth stocks it is another level, definitely you need to know what are you doing.
From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $255k in raw profits from just 6 months into the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
This is a phenomenal advice for a new stock traders and investors who want that quick short term game, but don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
@@bobschriswell565 I've been solely investing in real estate. But with the recent hyper home pricing i've liquidated a few things and have $45k in cash laying around idle. Would love to get your recommendations, I'm in search of something lucrative in the current crazy markets, i will be glad.
My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like i have a particular fund i invest in, plus i dont do that by myself. i follow the trades of Mrs Karen Gaye Gray.
She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial advisor as her diversification skills are top notch, because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis, unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along, my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.
I regret buying the Slypod. There is a wobble in the extended part that never gets resolved. When I spoke to the service, they dismissed it as a user error and said it was broken. Moreover, they said it can't be repaired. I bought it to shoot smooth footage, but the results are so poor that it's infuriating. I live in Turkey, and unfortunately, the Moza service did not solve my problem. It seems like a good idea, but it's not at all; your money and time will be wasted. Do not buy it.
Honestly, it's pretty awful. The problem of the extremely loud motors cannot be overstated. And the need to add digital stabilization to everything (because, as proven here, it's extremely jittery) is one step forward, two steps backward -- better just to buy a $10 mini-dolly on skates that actually moves smoothly on a surface, and doesn't require the lossy and time-consuming stage of digital stabilization. I mean, they gave it to you for free and you're being polite, but you coulda/shoulda been more honestly brutal.
I have one of these. Not a pro piece of gear by any standards. App is awful. You will fiddle with this endlessly on location and look like an idiot in front of your clients.
Really badly priced. Motorized slider will do the same thing for half the price - and you still end up with a slider. Should never be the price of a gimbal. I have watched lots of products roll out over the years and fail because they manufacture have priced them too high. If they want to only sell a couple of hundred, and make up the R&D, they should reevaluate and consider pricing the product to sell thousands at a smaller profit margin. As you said it's a one trick pony. This product should be around $150.00 not 600
yep, i don't think they were selling too many, most of the reviews have been poor, so it regularly goes on sale for 250... i got a Honey coupon and adorama pts so go it for 230 shipped, and ended up keeping it.. it'll do a cpl things a slider won't, i take mine out into places i couldn't get one you're right, tho... i'm sure someone will make an iteration of sth like this at a decent enough price point it'd sell
Very impressive review and production quality. Thank you.
It's doing its job when it comes to the push-in and out, but that kind of money for just that is what makes me rethink buying or not haha
I have Slypod Pro + Aircross 3 to do a 5axis. After 18 months, I recommend you not buy it.
This is awesome! Does anyone know how it works? Is there a belt/pulley? Worm gears? threaded rods? I'm interested in making my own DIY version.
Great review, very helpful... Thank you.

Hi there, could you share where or how often has it gone on sale for $250? Thanks!

Another review with a great voice! Thank you for reminding me of what I've forgotten that I have it. :)
Huge oversight not developing a small modular pan head mount for this.
Great review and footage! Thanks, man!
Can you fly on an aircraft with it as it has an internal lithium battery?
Hello! how are the differences between slypod pro and slypod pro black edition?
It's cool but they didn't solve the noise level. :(
noise level is the deal breaker
Great review love your channel this product is pretty cool like you the said price isn’t bad and automating movement for my b-rolls would be really useful to me.
I have the AirCross 3 and with the Slypod Pro it becomes a 5 axis. But app problems and bad settings make it a bad product.
It a nice one but like you said, because of the noise level it's only made if the audio track is full of other sounds. (Also the jitters).

I don't know why but... I was more interested in the Mamiya lol when there's that camera it leaves no room for other things to be interested in 😂😂😂
Their horrible app is killing this product.
The app broke my Slypod Pro on the first day I owned it. Not impressed.
Since when is Matt Smith reviewing camera gears? Love it btw

Wait a bit longer. Those gears update like every 1-2 years.
Too noisy for video.
very pricey
Interesting, but a bit "pricey".

it's not the same...
