My family and I are going to Switzerland for the first time this Christmas and we had absolutely no idea what to do there, besides enjoy the Christmas festival there. Thanks for this video. I think you did a great job showing the pros of each place and I'll definitely be going to the Lindt museum!

I need some help. I am planning to visit Zurich December 24th-December 28th, but I read a lot of the Christmas Markets close on the 23rd. When I arrive on the 24th will the spirit of Christmas be gone? The earliest I could come is December 23rd. I was hoping I could visit 2-3 Christmas markets and see pretty lights.
Hi; yes you are right Christmas markets normally end on the 23rd. On the last day most of the stalls would have vacated so you will see alot of tearing down works; the atmosphere is not quite the same. However the one at Zurich main station still lasts until the 24th.
we are planning to go to Switzerland for our honeymoon..in last of this December, please suggest. is it a good time ? and every destination is open or not? please only genuine.
If you would like to visit the Christmas markets u need to visit the week BEFORE 25 December because otherwise they would have all ended by then! The 1st or the 2nd week of December would be a better choice. There is now an energy crisis in Switzerland (just like the rest of Europe) and it is not certain if all of the cable cars for special excursion will be operating in winter, u might want to keep watch on the news.

No, the shops remain open during Christmas season! They only close during 25 Dec itself
