Glad it was helpful! For exchange student, the half fare card will be your best bet. It reduces all your train transportation cost by 50% and it is valid for a year. You should check too if there are student rates for it.
Travelling to Switzerland next month and I’m glad to have found your videos before the planning of my itinerary. They are extremely practical and detailed! Have subscribed and recommended your channel to my peers! Cheers from fellow Singaporean here 🎉 🇸🇬
Great video - i find the timberlands extremely slippery in wet conditions, to the point of being very dangerous. Have you treated the soles of them with anything to increase the grip?
Thanks Olivia. This was immensely helpful. We are travelling in Mid March. How would the weather be exactly? Does it snow or rain in mid March to end of March?
Hi Olivia, just subscribed to your channel. Great tips. I am passing through Switzerland in Dec and plan to spend a few days in Zurich and Zermatt. I wonder if these area are very dry. Do I need to bring along some argan oil?
Thank you for sharing this. I have questions about on the end of May weather. Should I bring heavy coats? We will visit the most important mountains. Any suggestions for us ? thank you. By the way. We are subscribed your Chanel. 👍👍
And is one wool socks enough or should I double up? Heading over to Leysin next month and apparently the temp will average -8C… so I’m not sure if it’s enough 😅
Hi Olivia, thanks for the great packing tips for winter Switzerland trip! Fellow Singaporean here, who will be going to Zermatt in mid-April this year. May I ask if a pair of jeans with the uniqlo heattech inner leggings would be sufficient if I am going for short activities such as the winter toboggan in Zermatt (approximately 10-15min ride)? Would you still recommend us to get the water-resistant ski pants? Thank you!
Hi! There is no toboggan slide in April. It is only between Dec to February! That being said, i still do recommend getting waterproof snow pants for any snow related activities. Wearing jeans in snow is just a no no imo…
@Olivia Thank you for your advice! I see. It's a shame that the toboggan slide will be unavailable. Alright, I'll consider getting the waterproof snow pants then!
Where best to visit in WINTER? 🇨🇭

Great video - i find the timberlands extremely slippery in wet conditions, to the point of being very dangerous. Have you treated the soles of them with anything to increase the grip?

Hi Olivia, just subscribed to your channel. Great tips. I am passing through Switzerland in Dec and plan to spend a few days in Zurich and Zermatt. I wonder if these area are very dry. Do I need to bring along some argan oil?
Yea definitely bring some facial oil and sheet masks it will help a lot because the air is very dry during winter!
thank you a lot
Always welcome
Are the Timberland boots comfortable to walk a lot?
It can be quite heavy after some time but it is definitely sturdier than sports shoes, so best for hiking in mountain trails.
Thank you for sharing this. I have questions about on the end of May weather. Should I bring heavy coats? We will visit the most important mountains. Any suggestions for us ? thank you. By the way. We are subscribed your Chanel. 👍👍
Yes you do need coats still for May if you are heading up to the mountains like Gornergrat, Jungfraujoch, Titis etc
Ollie, for your timberland boots… did you size up from your normal size or did you get your normal size for urban use in the city?
It’s my normal size 🙂
And is one wool socks enough or should I double up? Heading over to Leysin next month and apparently the temp will average -8C… so I’m not sure if it’s enough 😅
what brand is the white ruched thermal top? very cute!
It’s from Uniqlo!
thank u so much for this, but is there a tip for the kind of clothes to pack for sleeping or just lounging in winter? im confused
i usually sleep with one of my long sleeved sweaters (just a softer cotton one) and my thermal bottoms!

Hello..in May, will layering a t-shirt, fleece and down jacket be good enough even in the mountains?
Yes, with a good fleece and down jacket you will be fine in May. No need for thermal base layers!
@@Olliechinny thanks so much.
Hello! I’m going to Switzerland in March next year. I wonder how many layers of clothes is needed for the mountains?
Base layer; a sweater, a wind breaker (optional) and lastly ur down jacket. It is cold in March.
@@Olliechinny thank you!
Soo excited! thank you Olivia 🤩 I'll be coming to Swiss from London on 26th December!. p/s : i bought heat pack hehe

Wow! Are tickets affordable the day right after christmas?

This is planned! Please keep a look out sometime next month :)
@@Olliechinny yey! Just in time before we visit Switzerland in June.
I an going Switzerland during end of March, would it be warmer?
