Also if I may note (without directly spoiling anything), there are things hidden in To Your Eternity's OP that, when you get to certain points in the show and realize what they are related to, will make your heart SINK! Like, there's one instance where I'm like, "Oh, wonder what this is all about?" and now every time I watch the OP I'm just like, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;^;"
The only opening that i have been religiously watching every time a new episode came out. I know people say this a lot, that "Oh man, i don't usually do / say that, but this one, this time it's different" I usually watch openings for the first time just to see what's up, and maybe second time, maybe one more time if they nailed the song or the visuals. With To your eternity, it's something special, I have been railed to the chair ever since the first time i saw the opening, and i genuinely mean that, you know those shows that you need a specific mood to get into to be able to watch and not feel like shit for watching the episode without the "Mood" ? Yeah, they created a opening that prepares you for that mood... Everytime i watch the opening, i'm already sensitivitiesed for the coming 20 minutes, just because of the opening. it's sad, heartwarming and horrifying, hopeful.. it sound corny, but it's true..
It... Maybe FEELS just a little similar to Dororo? I don't know how to explain that further. Obviously, there are some parallels between Fushi and Hyakkimaru, but it's not really otherwise related. But, still. The atmosphere, a bit.
I agree with you. something look like human but not inside. and have supernatural power. however, it met humans. good or bad. and become more humanlike. get a emotion, relationship and flaws. both stories talk about what is human.
I keep wondering, have you given Natsume Yuujinchou a try yet? if you like this genre~ just saying NY is a good staple and .. Brain's base has a quite a nice collection; Including the Natsume yuujinchou I mentioned, but even if you haven't seen it you've got Hotarubi no Mori e, from the same genre and then Tonari no Kaibutusu , Durarara, and Gakuen Babysitter, Kiss him Not Me, and the ever famous Baccano - granted that's old but still! and from all those titles to just mention snafu ..well to each his own so moving on.... Still, sounds like you were a taaaaad bit harsh on the Production or maybe they're titles just appeal to me more than the general public, I can live with that haven't been disappointed by any of titles I mentioned, in my personal case, I think the production are a bonus not a scare point ^^
Well yes but not I think they might do it at the start of season 2 Spoiler***** At the island where that small girl finds him? Isn’t that kinda dealing with love?
I honestly wonder if they'll adapt till the very end in the Reinart Battle arc or just stop somewhere in the middle, because there's no sense of finality till that point, but the story to get there is quite long. Edit: Now that I check it's not that long (Little over 100 chapters), just felt that way.
:/ oh... nostalgic... This made me remember how good the beggining of this manga was. I miss reading it (don't worry... It will still be good by the end of this season, I assure you)
I haven't watched the most recent episode yet, but up until now, its been good... but definitely not great. I feel like its trying to force depth that isn't actually there. Could be, like you said, its been a lot of world building, but a lot of people have been having emotions over it, and I just don't feel it yet.
honeslty the "depth" doesn't really come in until when Fushi becomes more human. For now, it's mostly about Fushi learning basic stuff that is second nature to us. Like wanting something as simple a fruit. or just the will to live with March. not sure where you are now, but You can guess what basic human desire comes next.
Glass Reflection: "If you are one think that it might go re-watch "A Silent Voice" and remind yourself why this particular author deserves the benefit of the doubt. I say re-watch because of course you've already at least watched it once by now right?" Me: ".........Eh"
Idk what the show is yet besides an experience but that ball thing and especially it’s dynamic with reminds me of a more realistic version of Hyakkimaru and his relationship with Dororo.
I'm very happy with the pacing of this adaptation thus far. From what the OP shows, nothing will be skipped, and I will be very happy with these 20 eps!!! 🥰

Fushi look at the doll in the shop during renril arc and he remember that march love doll and he ask if it is love and he kinda fall in love with the doll for a bit.
@@nabkill0134 ahhhh okok tyty :DD
Also if I may note (without directly spoiling anything), there are things hidden in To Your Eternity's OP that, when you get to certain points in the show and realize what they are related to, will make your heart SINK! Like, there's one instance where I'm like, "Oh, wonder what this is all about?" and now every time I watch the OP I'm just like, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;^;"
watching this show is literal self-inflicted pain
Cannot wait for your reaction of the show when it end
You see march,gugu
Their soul choose to be in reality
Fushi didn even try to resurrect them until bon say that he can
The first episode felt like a short film. It was so good.
So glad you did this series! Personally I think it's in the top 3 for this season, what about you over at Glass Reflection?
For all who have not watched this yet in full, prepare to ugly cry... A LOT!!! Never felt this emotionally scarred since Stein's Gate
I don’t know anything about this but hearing it’s by the same person who did Koe No Katachi makes me wanna go and crawl under a rock.
00:22 Depending on which episodes he directed you'd be surprised. Some of the fights have amazing visual storytelling
Please do a full review of season 1 now that it's over. I would love to hear your thoughts on that ending/cliffhanger.
Started watching this with no idea what it was. Great luck as it has been great thus far.
Arcade parenting me into watching silent voice isn't something I knew I needed
I keep wondering, have you given Natsume Yuujinchou a try yet?
if you like this genre~ just saying NY is a good staple
and .. Brain's base has a quite a nice collection; Including the Natsume yuujinchou I mentioned, but even if you haven't seen it
you've got Hotarubi no Mori e, from the same genre and then Tonari no Kaibutusu , Durarara, and Gakuen Babysitter, Kiss him Not Me, and the ever famous Baccano - granted that's old but still! and from all those titles to just mention snafu ..well to each his own so moving on.... Still, sounds like you were a taaaaad bit harsh on the Production
or maybe they're titles just appeal to me more than the general public, I can live with that
haven't been disappointed by any of titles I mentioned, in my personal case, I think the production are a bonus not a scare point ^^
Monday is *sad boi hours*
7:18 the anime would need 2 more season to get to that arc.
Well yes but not I think they might do it at the start of season 2
Spoiler*****
At the island where that small girl finds him? Isn’t that kinda dealing with love?
@@mmmspice1491 yandere who killed her mom arc.
For me, my top three anime this season is 86, Vivy, and To your eternity
I honestly wonder if they'll adapt till the very end in the Reinart Battle arc or just stop somewhere in the middle, because there's no sense of finality till that point, but the story to get there is quite long. Edit: Now that I check it's not that long (Little over 100 chapters), just felt that way.
they'll probably stop right when Fushi decides to isolate himself/after the 40 year time skip.
The OP alone makes my eyes water. Prepare for pain.
Also the orb can only transform into new forms when it gets stimulation
:/ oh... nostalgic... This made me remember how good the beggining of this manga was. I miss reading it (don't worry... It will still be good by the end of this season, I assure you)
Is it not good rn sorry I didn't read it
@@Snowflake_flora well... I dropped it months ago, because the pace wasn't to my taste anymore. That's the only problem I remember, though...
@@mclaraamorimblood oh okay thanks
What is "to your eternity"? Beautiful, thats what it is
This is an amazing adaption it has just about been panel for panel not skipping anything
BOY are you in for a ride... not gonna say good or bad but...that ride.
I'm just starting with this series.I thought the first episode worked fine alone almost as a short film. Let's see how it goes.
OHHHHH MAN THIS IS GONNA BE KILLLERRRR
March dying fucking killed me too god damn
also fushi is the one fam i stan
Pure pain and depression from a master at that craft I'd say.
I dropped this manga years ago because I couldn't take all the sadness
:(
Glass Reflection: "If you are one think that it might go re-watch "A Silent Voice" and remind yourself why this particular author deserves the benefit of the doubt. I say re-watch because of course you've already at least watched it once by now right?"
Me: ".........Eh"
Idk what the show is yet besides an experience but that ball thing and especially it’s dynamic with reminds me of a more realistic version of Hyakkimaru and his relationship with Dororo.
I watched every episodes available
The first line of this video is perfect
I'm very happy with the pacing of this adaptation thus far. From what the OP shows, nothing will be skipped, and I will be very happy with these 20 eps!!! 🥰
I read the manga before I ever heard the anime was in development but I don't think I ever finished it.... Which is a bummer. But when I heard like first reactions to like episode one I was was like "Oh honey, you poor thing" kind of feeling.
ngl, this anime, i took a single look at its poster & thought this i gotta watch, its feels different. no prior news was seen, no recommendation, i just thought that after one look. next thing i find is people talking about it
"good people at crunchyroll" is an oxymoron, isn't it?
