Yes the problem is big oversteer is easy to catch in real life but not in iracing so you always have to try to drive just on the limit while being smooth. While the car feels good in iracing this is still a big difference. When the car is gone I can’t catch it and would spin while I never had this happen in real life and could drift around the whole track if I wanted
@@jarno.dhauw14 I think in real life you use your "ass" to feel the car, and it's just not possible in simulator) That's why top players turn higher sound of tyres and lower sound of engine, to understand with sound.
Haven't gotten around to testing the new car yet (got distracted by the updates for the prototypes), but ignoring the super steady iRacing camera difference it looks like you drove it exactly the same as IRL - great to see! The engine sounds are absolutely terrific as well.
It does seem fairly close actually! It seems iRacing does a pretty okay-good job at modeling slower cars such as the MX5, GR86, and ofc this new BMW; and they model GT3/4 racing _okay_ (not the best, but def not the worst); but they have real problems modeling the really fast cars like the Prototypes.
Is it realistic for this car to not have brake bias adjustments? That was one of my questions after driving the iRacing version if that was realistic or not.
@@f1_onboardsAC it feels really good imo. Just in real life we drove without tc which you can’t in iracing. The sliding was a lot easier to control in the real car
Is the real car as boaty at speed and at full gas? In iR it generally feels great, but in these scenarios i feel like if the front wheels barely touch the ground.
I’m more a iracing fan and since it costs quite some money that’s the only sim I drive. I have tried ACC but not long enough to give an honest and good opinion. I’m more an iracing fan!
This is a great comparison and demonstrates why I am pretty decent on track, but suck at iRacing (lol). It is really hard to simulate the real life movement, vision, and feel (senses) you get in real life.
What I like to do is go for a short drive in my real car (it can be to the park and back or driving to work) and then when I simrace I can imagine the car better because I can remember my real car in my ass. This will make sense when you do it.
Iracing as soon as you take a sneak peek over the limit, the grip gets turned off 😭😭 and you spin off to the barriers. Zero falloff and impossible to catch oversteer.
This is exactly why I hate iRacing. IRL you slide the car and drive the rear around, fighting the wheel. In iRacing if you do this you lose 8 tenths per corner. My track cars IRL including my legend are so active in the rear. You drive it like IRL in iRacing and youre slow. So dumb
The iRacing footage lacks any sense of speed. Such a shame as the comparison apart from that looks pretty decent with the usual strengths and weaknesses of iRacing.
what's interesting to me is how chill (not shure what other word to use) your inputs are in iRacing compared to the real car.

While improving, this is the classic problem with the iRacing tire model.

Heard that the problem is addressed and kinda solved with the new tyre model. Try it with prototypes if you can

Yeah, I've driven the car tons; it's a blast! Just need VR to get the extreme shaking I guess. 😂
