Thank you so much! I found answers to a lot of uncertainty about diastolic HF.🙏
Now I know why excessive diuretics for swelling (oedema) made my heart feel worse! (Recovering from a heart attack)
Thank you for such a superb explanation!
Marvelous presentation, Sir.
Fabulous video, clear distinction between systolic and diastolic.
Aptly delivered. Thanks
Thank you. Very educational. Keep sharing.
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
By far this is the best lecture
Very informative video. Thank You Doc.
Dr. Fazal, excellent presentation! Thank you for the clear explanation. My mom is 89. Recently she has a very low DIA reading, in the 40-50, and high heart rate at 90+. She is feeling very tired. The doctor recommended her to do blood work and ECG. But she refuses to go because she is tired, fear in a room full of people, and she does not like all the trouble. In the last 2 weeks, she also has edema in her left foot. The one thing I feel hopeful is that her heart rate has reduced from around 90 to 75-80. As stated in the last part of the presentation, the goal is to slow down the heart rate so that the left heart has more time to fill in with blood. I hope I am understanding it correctly and that may indicate at least her situation is not rapidly getting worse. Thank you again!
Great Sir...
"VERY WELL PRESENTED "
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THE PRESENTATION.......
Amazing presentation!
Very good information about heart thank you sir
Just out of hospital. Felt terrible there, was given high dozes of Furosemide (diuretic) for days that appeared not to work for the odema in my feet and ankles and infact made me weak and get terrible kidney pains. Now I understand why at 14:00! You explained it very well. Thank you!
Excellent explanation sir.🙏🙏

Super sir got new information about diastolic heart failure.
I am glad to hear that Joseph 😊
Stay tuned for more

Excellent and clear cut explanation about Diastolic dysfunction.. I'm diagnosed with DD in 2019 and my age is 65. How does it affect my life scan? Can you please your advise about precautionary measures to delay the consequences of this disease. Kind regards
I would also like this information.I am in a simular situation
Sir plz make the vedio on valve diseases of heart..
How to prevent or improve with food and life style? Thx very informative.
Do certain supplements help or worsen diastolic heart failure? Supplements like Omega 3, CoQ10, Magnesium? Thank you!
Very good presentation. I would like to have clarification of the need for a BiV pacemaker with diastolic heart failure? Thought it was for reduced HF with a wide QRS. AICD also for systolic HF. Maybe meant if diastolic condition progresses? Thank you
Biventricular Pacemaker (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy, CRT)
BiV pacemakers are typically used for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with systolic heart failure, particularly those with a reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), who have symptoms despite optimal medical therapy, and evidence of dyssynchronous ventricular contraction (such as a left bundle branch block on ECG).
Automatic Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (AICD)
Iindicated for EF less than 35%), or those at high risk for sudden cardiac death, generally associated with systolic heart failure
The use of BiV pacemakers and AICDs in HFpEF is not typically standard and is less clear. These devices are not generally indicated unless there are coexisting conditions like significant ventricular arrhythmias or other specific indications that warrant their use.
I was wondering why it was mentioned as standard for HFpEF
Sir, role of calcium channel blockers over here could u plz explain?
In htn ...Arb like telma cures hypertrophy...
Hi sir
Pls help me out to understand , I have gone for CT abdomen while contrast istarted feeling Bee is biting and I woke up and fainted, docter given me CPR as they were saying u had low pulse and bp, after waking up I am ok, my all votes ok 2d echo, stress test all ok. Pls help to understand what happend to me it was syncope or other thing, is there any life threat in future. I feel like I am in post trumic stress. Feeling very scared. Thank you if any one help. God bless
Sir, I had LVDD 1, can it reversible
"Hypertrophy of left ventricle "---Is it may be a side effect for any heart tonic.
Sir mere abu ko heart attack ho chuka hai 1 saal pehle
Unki echo 38% hai or 3 artery disease and LMS hai abi unka blood ka DIASTOLIC low hai 112/54BP 55 pulse
Left bazu me boht pain hai baqi chest koi pain nhi hai... Medicine beta blockers wali kha rehe hain kya krna chahiye???
I have CHF my feet is swollen for about four weeks what do I need to do they are starting to hurt
Beta Blocker or Calcium channel blockers or Ivabradine all these help in reducing heart beat.
There is an increased sympathetic tone in a failing heart.
Thus only beta blockers help but not others.

I am newly diagnosed with this. And my EF is 40 to 45%. And my heart doctor said i have to get a heart cath
a cath is to make sure decreased EF is not from narrowed heart arteries
Hi Sir, is it possible that someone has normal systolic (EF 65%) and diastolic function can have heart failure? My wife's Echo is normal but her NT proBNP is 450.
She feels breathless sometimes and there are bigemni and trigemni in ECG.
We are tensed due to this and doctor is unable to predict anything from it. Thanks in advance.
yes can have a normal EF with diastolic HF
Today I checked bp ,it was 120/50,is it dangerous for me?my age is 55+
Really good content but a little hard to understand your assent.
Dear doctor which drug decrease mortality in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction????
SGLT2-I and ARB/ACE
Is Coq10 good or bad for diastolic Heart Failure?
Can long standing tachycardia cause diastolic heart failure?
Acute renal failure
Are you sure that a non elevated BNP value excludes diastolic heart failure?
Do you automatically have diastolic heart failure if you have diastolic dysfunction with symptoms such as fluid in the lungs?
Can covid cause this?
Yes my friend he is 67 got covid 3 times and suffered heart failure he is lucky he found a good caring cardiologist who placed a device in him by his neck this has allowed him to live a more normal life, as for me I'm female and I have PPO plan and still cannot get a diagnosis for my condition I am end stage heart failure on oxygen from 5 years ago condition only worsenin and I sure to die sudden death thank you all doctor's who have charged my insurance Maxx but provided no care
Can BNP tells the differens between systolic and diastolic heart failure?
no
Sir is it ok for 1st year mbbs students 🙏❤
Grade 2 diastolic dysfunction along with percardial effusion
Are these very severe or it can be cured
I'm 42 years old and i got diagnosed with diastolic heart failure.. So im trying to find as much information as i can..

Did you take the covid vax?
My husband is 42 and just got diagnosed with diastolic heart failure. His function is 50-55. Can a person live a long life with medication and life changes? Or is this a life sentence and life expectancy is very short? 😔
Yes...till 70...75
Hello very sorry to hear that. What medicines is your husband taking. Hope he is doing well. My mother aged 66 also got diagnosed with the same, minor hypertrophy.
@@roachasd6335 im 21 and diahnosed with it. heart ef is 55-60% i am on a beta blocker propranolol
@@TeamFCC what doctor said is it very serious?
@@TeamFCC I'm also digonosis with this with 55-60% from 2017. Which medication do you taking?
1:18 is there ALWAYS hypertophy?
Diastolic heart failure can occur due to restrictive cardiomyopathy as seen in amyloidosis sarcoidosis. It can also be seen in cardiac tamponade constrictive Pericarditis.
Am worried I have ischemic heart disease and my BP is 160/95
Cut down on carbohydrates to lower BP

BNP or NT BNP?
Sir, I want to share my 64 yr old mother, echocardipgraphy report
She is also on high BP treatment
