    Owned one (63 kWH) since Jan 23. Same white colour as this test. Higher spec Evolve model. Fantastic car. Mostly urban driving, occasional motorway. Range c. 425 kms this Summer, c. 300 kms at peak winter with low single digit temps. Range also impacted by driving mode/style. Fabulous ride. Agree with everything in the video. As regards boot space, passed the horizontal golf bag test, 2 x 20 kg suitcases plus 1/2 carry on bags. Hidden storage underneath luggage floor takes multiple items / cable, car care kit, couple of pairs of golf shoes, and removable shelves still flush. Very cool feature that a ‘air kick’ under the rear end opens the boot when hands full. Only very minor issue is ambient lighting only one colour, no options. Already worried about what could replace it for down the road. Tested Ioniq 5, about to buy 6/22 but then Hyundai cancelled orders for rest of year and luckily Ariya became available. Only 100 on the road in ROI, I understand another 150 due between now and end of 2023. I’ve only seen one on the road in 4 months, it does get stared at as uncommon. Exterior paint excellent, looks fantastic. Every journey long or short is awesome. If in your price range with lower €3.5k grant, highly recommended.

      100%. Just a great drive. One minor issue that’s impacted a number in the UK Facebook owners group that putting on aircon via Nissan App causes alarm to go off after a minute or so. An interior sensor issue. We gather Nissan working (slowly) on a fix. Aircon manually put on is fast so it’s ok. Great site by the way thanks for all the reviews.

      @@NevoEVReviewIreland hi Derek 👋 I'm starting to think it would have been better in the Aurora Green as it seems to change colour between black and green under different light/ sun conditions, but I've gone for the Pearl Black and can't change any of the details for the build now. But these are very highly spec'd vehicles even for the entry level model. Looking forward to March / April to take delivery. Many thanks again for your unbiased review as this was one of the reasons I committed to purchasing my first EV.👍

    Orders suggest Nissan are getting some dues for being early to market with the Leaf. But price takes the Ayria out of reach for a lot of people. Hope price does not go up any higher. Nissan need an MG4 priced car as do the others.

    The ac can be controlled by voice Derek so something to try on your coast to coast range test . Also something to mention in future reviews is the power output of the usb c connectors Derek as people can use them to charge tablets and phones with large batteries quickly if they are high power which would be important to some especially in a family car.

    Hi Derek , love the styling, size, and extras( rear view mirror camera, heads up display etc) but many reviewers remark how bad the screen tech is , the slow charging and how inefficient it is for the battery size. Do you agree?? Too bad because I love the look. Oh and the price is high as well. Thoughts?

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The OEM software leaves a lot to be desired but android auto/apple Car Play sorts that. Not the fastest charging but here in Ireland we don't have too many 100+kW chargers and we're a small country so no issue for me there and finally efficiency. It's a big SUV so in the same zone as IONIQ 5, ID. 4 in my opinion. Price is definitely on the high side.

    Hi Derek. Great review. Looking forward to taking delivery of my 63kw Ariya in the next few weeks. Question, if my car is delayed until early November for example, should I hold off taking delivery until Jan to get the 231D plate? Never really understood what difference this would make to the eventual resale value.

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question Jonathan. I'd say you better take it if you can get it as I'm not sure they'd have one for you early next year but your dealer will let you know. Waiting the extra 2 months would give you a car 6 to 12 months "newer" in the eyes of the resale market. 2nd cars are holding their value so well at the moment this maybe null and void at the moment.

    I'm just glad that Nissan has not spend millions designing silly door handles and have kept with simple, efficient, old stye ones.
    After all, I bet that these new flush fitting handles barely give even a small fraction of a percentage of extra EV range.
    As for the plastic covers on the wheels. if they're supposed to "aid" in reducing drag, then why are they not different for both sides? if you look at one side, they appear to be sucking air out of the wheel arches, but on the opposite side _(Because they're identical!)_ they look as though they would be blowing air into the wheel arches when going round, when driving!?
    That aside. I think this is a cracking looking EV and if I couldn't afford the BMW iX, I'd opt for this model _(Even though I can't afford it, either!)._

Looks stunning inside and out but the efficiency is pretty unspectacular probably due to the pretty poor Cd of just under 0.30 which is odd for such a sleek looking car. Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a big square box and yet it's more slippery through the air. As a company though not happy with their treatment of Carlos and the lies to bring him in so Japanese police can arrest him on fake charges. No frunk for a ground up EV???
