Thank you so much for this nice overview. It helped us decide if we wanted the extra large balcony or just the normal one. I have sailed on Sapphire Princess, and loved the atmosphere and more classic design, so hoping we like Ruby, too.
Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire were all mfg by Mitsubishi ship builders. They are the same floor plan. I have sailed them all and really prefer this class over the newer ships. I’m taking the Ruby to Hawaii in February
My Wife and l had two weeks on Iona, deck 15 back corner suite. Balcony was a dream come true. Completely private. Some chair scraping early mornings on deck above. Spent most of our sea time there. It also extends down the side of the ship the length of the cabin. True to say l was overwhelmed .
I've never fancied Princess ships so I'll be interested to get your overall opinion. The balcony is large but I don't like the terraced formation (privacy-wise.) I noticed there was no tea and coffee station in the cabin. It's not something I would really use but I know most British people like a morning cup of tea. Looking forward to the next video.
The balcony was still private but it was lovely to have room for a recliner chair. Princess can provide a kettle if requested. We are early risers so it was easy to grab a coffee from International Cafe. We love Princess. Notch above P&O. We are looking forward to the new Sun Princess in a few weeks.

@@benyounce8390 fantastic! We are taking Ruby to Hawaii next month. Can't wait!
Love the idea of the large private balcony, this will always be a major plus for me.
We do love a good balcony...it means you dont have to fight for a lounger!😊
