Siddharth Lal joined Royal Enfield in the year 2000 as CEO. The Biggest Turn Around for Royal Enfield was 2002 Thunderbird AVL Engine CDI, that's when people started noticing Royal Enfield again because it had the cruiser look and much faster than Bullets. And of course it had the Left Hand Side Gear Lever, which changed the entire game for Royal Enfield. Even though Machismo 350 had same Engine and same Gear Lever, unfortunately the sales started going down. But 2002 Thunderbird changed the game and I believe Siddharth Lal was the Mastermind behind 2002 Thunderbird AVL Engine.
Royal Enfield didn't just make a bike they marketed the brand as the first motorcycle manufacturing company to make retro-looking bikes with good reliability. I've seen people like my grandfather riding their bullet, which still has that charm. It makes the youth feel connected to our past to ride a Royal Enfield.

And before anyone puts out an argument that the export model is better in terms of quality compared to Indian models, she bought her motor cycle from New Delhi, India. - The improvement in quality doesn't mean you can throw your RE bike in the pit and expect it to work. You get what you pay for and given the price point, RE bikes are excellent value for money.
Royal Enfield is such a company that's improving itself day by day. Also it doesn't sell motorcycle like hero, bajaj or tvs, rather this company sells lifestyle. Royal Enfield has huge demand in market and supply is limited as of now. However, they still have many customer complaint, like owners of twin cylinder engines(interceptor/continental gt) complain navigation features are not on their bike, but it comes in less powerful and less priced meteor, also first generation himalayans had huge reliability issues. Still people complaint about rusting problem in newer models, clutch problem on current bikes. However, people need to understand royal Enfield doesn't produce mass transport, so their bikes need special care, more maintenance and it comes with a cost.

I always dreamt of buying my own RE classic 350 since age of 11. I got my first vehicle which was a non gear scooty at age of 16. I cried my soul out to Get Re classic at that time. Since i was underweight & underage also to Ride this Metal soul so had to move on with scooty only. Five years down the line Finally bought my First RE from self earned money at age of 21. That feeling was something that can't be described in words. Now keeping my eyes on continental GT. I hope everyone Desire of owning or riding once gets achieved. ❤️

Biggest turning point for RE was, them switching sides of gear lever and kick starter. Design before was foolish earlier, like gear lever on left foot etc.
@@mr.gentlemen01 i was not refering to difference between Indian and exported model. Earlier even in indian RE used to have gear lever on the right side. It was odd combination in comparison to all other motorcycle in the market. So it was difficult to ride or adopt. While its known fact that RE made its own way and continuously working on improvement. But lets give credit to Harley Davidson who taught us the fun of group ride and brother hood connect.
The problem is that Indians want a vehicle that would do all their needs which is not possible when we talk about REs REs is not about speed its about retro looks, feeling and thump And people in foreign do really know how to take care of their bike themselves comparing to Indian consumers
Lots of modern REs at the present but still searching for G2s and BS3 models (second hand). Unfortunately my father had sold his G2 many years ago 🤦🏻♂️
I always wanted to buy a retro bike but dad didn't wanted it. When I started earning he bought me a car. I still wish for bike sometimes but I guess it will remain a dream for long now.
You are wrong The Enfield brand would have been extinct It was saved by the Indian Army, police , and the Indian government 🙏 Siddharth Lal resurrected the company with newer models.
I own a Xpulse 4v and used to think Enfields are none less than elephants. . untill i rode my uncle's classic 350 . .Yes they are none less than elephants, you get to feel the triumph they carry and the reason they carry royal in the name. Enfields aren't the bikes for speed and performance, they are the bikes that actually make you realise what riding (biking) actually is.
I don't know why people are obsessed with foreign commentary or feedback if RE resolves the issues within the indian market I think it will get a better representation outside.

Very few people actually know why royal enfield was preferred and is still preferred by Indian armed forces. It's because that bike is very durable, tough and in case if it breaks down in the middle of the road it can be repaired easily, if one has the basic knowledge of it's machine!.... This is a fact and an army personnel mentioned this thing to me. This company is even older than harley davidson. Companies like BSA which also made excellent bikes couldn't withstand the test of time, which royal enfield did despite suffering many ups and downs. Whole history of royal enfield is just mind blowing. It's like God never wanted that this company should go out of existence..... Royal enfield was officially closed down in redditch, UK in the early 70's, but still it managed to survive in the Indian market though it had to face tough competition from Japanese bikes in the Indian market and world over. In fact the rising popularity of Japanese bikes was the very reason that Royal enfield had to shut down in the UK.

Even though Machismo 350 had same Engine and same Gear Lever, unfortunately the sales started going down. But 2002 Thunderbird changed the game and I believe Siddharth Lal was the Mastermind behind 2002 Thunderbird AVL Engine.
For the quality content you make, Your channel deserve more recognition than now.
I hope royal Enfield will put fuel gauge in their motor cycles one day
I love Royal Enfield Classic and Himalayan also Interceptor is lit🔥
I appreciate your effort for making these research videos
It's new 🇮🇳🔥
My dream all indians company day by day growth 🤧
They should keep old model of right side gear shifter -cast iron engine for those who want it..
Good to see what Enfield is doing. Let's hope they improve some quality, the only thing they lack a little bit sometimes.
I have owned, Bajaj Super, TVS city, bajaj discover, Activa, Gixxer and himalayan.
Worst 2 wheeler was himalayan ( for me as I mostly ride in cities)
There were some quality issues as compared to previous 2 wheelers.
Nothing like dat every heavy weight motorcycle cruisers has its own charisma and identical personification and its class sets its own benchmark.....Harley,Enfield,BSA,Jawa,Kawasaki,Honda,Benelli are distiguishing from each other but the parameters are same they belong to those who deserves it and ride with true passion and endurance and has got enormous power to tackle when it roars.....❤❤❤
RX100 single handedly dominated the whole market until it was officially banned in 1996.
ROYAL ENFIELD❤- THE UNDEFEATABLE BETAAJ BADSHAH❤ OUR EMOTION, OUR PRIDE, EPITOME OF LUXURY, QUALITY ❤
Good work bro. Rest of the youtubers keep speaking specs of car on screen, do a bit of bulls#it and call themselves motor journalist. You are a fresh breath of air with these type of content. 🙌🏻
Completely agreed. This is much more interesting to watch and sure even harder to produce
I AM RETIRED FROM HERO MOTOCORP DHARUHERA REWARI HR AS A TECHNICIAN (37.3YEARS)BUT FROM AUG.2014 I PURCHASED RE CLASSIC AFTER IT PURCHASED THUNDER BIRD 350X IN OCT. 2018 ,REALLY I AM WELL SATISHFIED . LOTS OF THANKS RE YOUNG CEO MR. SIDHARTH LAL SAHIB .
Awesome, you have succeeded in bringing in most aspects of RE that makes it what it is today, keep thumping 👍
Very well made and wonderfully explained. Just loved it
I too own RE classic 350 and just love it’s riding. Complete 2 circuits of Himachal and looking further to explore ❤
Literally got goosebumps while watching this video about Royal Enfield ❤️✨
देश का लाल...सिद्धार्थ लाल 😍🚩शतशः नमन 🙏🇮🇳
Biggest turning point for RE was, them switching sides of gear lever and kick starter. Design before was foolish earlier, like gear lever on left foot etc.
What's diff in foreign and Indian models
@@mr.gentlemen01 i was not refering to difference between Indian and exported model. Earlier even in indian RE used to have gear lever on the right side. It was odd combination in comparison to all other motorcycle in the market. So it was difficult to ride or adopt. Later they switched to conventional design similar to other motorcycles and customers started liking RE more.
@@shrirangtambe4360 'Earlier even in indian RE used to have gear lever on the right side'
Similar arrangement was used in British Bikes from Triumph, Norton, BSA in the 60s.
@@metaphorpritam coz....RE is originally English.
@@avl123 Yes, that's the point
I have classic 350 stealth black for last one year and I love my decision to buy that beast.
I have 2 Royal Enfield. One is classic 350 and other is STD 350. I think they need improved their quality and service.
Royal Enfield ko nayi wali classic 350 aayi hai usme quality and refinement ki major upgrade hui hai. Gaadi ek dum makkhan ke tarah chal rahi hai. I hope ki wo log Himalayan ko bhi utna hi refine and premium build quality ke saath banaye 🫤
For guys who lose hope at a young age, I got the royal enfield at the young age of 45. Love the 2022 model its damm smooth
Innovation yields results, not just wrt RE, but even the Japanese case study of engines during the 90s.
Siddharth Lal joined Royal Enfield in the year 2000 as CEO, please check your source. i like your videos, spoken in hindi and sub titles in english. and content is good too.
While its known fact that RE made its own way and continuously working on improvement. But lets give credit to Harley Davidson who taught us the fun of group ride and brother hood connect.
The problem is that Indians want a vehicle that would do all their needs which is not possible when we talk about REs
REs is not about speed its about retro looks, feeling and thump
And people in foreign do really know how to take care of their bike themselves comparing to Indian consumers
Bullet sound is just the heartbeat❤❤ specially classic 350
"Made like a Gun
runs like a bullet".
Hi Praskash I really admire you videos they are so knowledgeable…..Plz make a video on KIA too
👏👏 Hat's off Siddharth Lal Sir .. Royal Enfield ❤️❤️
Lots of modern REs at the present but still searching for G2s and BS3 models (second hand).
Unfortunately my father had sold his G2 many years ago 🤦🏻♂️
My father bought Bullet for me when i was 18 and promise to buy Mercedes for me when bullet will dead ..... Now i m 39.
Great user name 👍🚩🙏
I always wanted to buy a retro bike but dad didn't wanted it. When I started earning he bought me a car. I still wish for bike sometimes but I guess it will remain a dream for long now.
You are wrong
The Enfield brand would have been extinct
It was saved by the Indian Army, police , and the Indian government 🙏
Siddharth Lal resurrected the company with newer models.
What about the electric future of bikes(high powered ones)
Please make a video on that too
Indeed you have done some great research. Thanks for producing such a wonderful video !!
Suggestion for next video Tatas (Jaguar SVR Cars) Special Vehicle Operations. Jaguar Sports Cars are quite popular in Western countries. Please make video on this.
I don't like bikes but am proud of this feat
Your Videos Are Too Awesome 🔥🔥❤️

Royal Enfield bikes are great !!!
Bur Harley Davidson bike looks fantastic 🥵
I have a classic 350 and now my another dream is to buy a RE Himalayan 411
I saw a royal Enfield in song rockstar by lisa blackpink (korea)
Royal Bike,,,give royal feel, royal style,
Thanks Sidharth sir....to giving Bullet as new image in world
⚠️Disclaimer ⚠️ Royal Enfield is highly addictive.
I am the owner of Classic 350

I have classic 350cc BS3 2016 model. It's good for भौकाल and Cruise ride.
The 350 ones are not that much upto the mark but the 650 twins are really amazing.
Damn. We really took something British and outlasted and outperformed them many times over.
Hopefully India does so in every sector possible. Jai Hindi
