One of my favourite TH-camrs talking about my favourite car! I only just got myself one like this one in December and absolutely love it. At the slightest glimpse of sunshine and I’m out hitting the country lanes with the top down, having the best fun ever on four wheels! Thanks for another great video Nigel :)
One of the best looking two seater sports cars ever built and a hoot to drive, I still prefer the more classic look of the original F but that’s maybe because I have one 😂. Special edition minters are going up in value rapidly so hurry if you wanna bag one for a reasonable price.
Around 2 yrs ago these were fairly cheap and good value like everything else they have climbed in value. If only we knew in the 80s our every day cars would go on to be worth so much now, how i would please pleased if in my garage was the Marina TC and the Ford Cortina 1600 E and the Renault 12ts i used to own and also the mk 3 Midnight Capri i had that was a for runner of the JPS edition. In the 90s i owned 2 Austin A35 1 of which was the rare countryman, these go for £5000 to £8000 now.🚗🚗👍👍😢😢
After watching this video it makes me miss my little MGF which I briefly owned, it was not the best example but it was honest, sold it to my mate who is overhauling it at the moment, so hopefully I will get to have a wee drive of it again soon.
Got the 1.6 with soft ride springs. Cheap to tax and insure and loves to rev. Values are creeping up, so buy one while you can still get a cheap one. Most have had the gaskets done which is the biggest expense you could face, and they don't rust as bad as an equivalent aged MX5.
Great review capt, that cars design still looks great, you would defo fit nik nack in the boot, sacramangas side kick from the bond movie, they gangsters, say putin would fit in there too.😁
"When you do your weekly headgasket" I'm dead now, no better way to adress that one flaw... 😂 I love mine, the same except for the wheels, and the big brake kit, but yeah, It will put a smile on your face every time revving it through the twisties..
I liked the original F I would probably buy this one as well. I knew a chap who had one. I had an Mx5 eunos 1.6 16v it was a great car and a good laught to drive so I would probably go for one at the right money. 🍻
I suppose they didn't spend much time on the styling as they used all the money strengthening the chassis and fitting conventional suspension! I love the TF, fantastic car!
Wusste garnicht dass Catweazle es in die Gegenwart geschafft hat....thanks for the great Video, I am on the way to buy one, but with steering wheel on the "right" side...
The rear boot does get warm so if you have beer or butter in your shopping then best to put it somewhere else. Great little MG overall.

Yes there was one for sale at £650 with red leathers and I didn't buy it
I must say I am not massively into sports cars, but that is one car I would love to test drive one day! :-)
