Not really. Since this school is for the whole world, not just Equestria. So it doesn't fall under EEA ruling, which is mostly about teaching ponies to follow their breed rules (Pegasi control weather, Earth ponies agriculture, and Unicorns magic) Since this school teaches none of those things, it bends the rules of falling under EEA guidelines.
Twilight actually used her Princess status to solve a problem for once in her life. I'm actually kind of proud of her. Too bad she didn't go full Royal Canterlot Voice "By royal decree of the Princess of Friendship, this school will not operate under EEA control!" at Neighsay.
Paradoxical Outcome and I thought his idea that not having anyone but ponies at the school for friendship was silly. He thought it was about protection for the kingdom and never saw the new friends would be there for the kingdom in good times and bad. And friends don't try to hurt friends so making friends outside the kingdom seems to be great way to protect the kingdom.
I legit would have died if she had done that!!! And it could even be coupled with a bit of wariness and fear in his future appearances where you can tell that he's secretly scared of her and thinking, "Oh, please don't let her yell at me again..."

Well, the actor you're looking for is Maurice LaMarche, but I see what you're going for. But remember, there have been big names on the show before. John de Lancie (the only recurring guest star), Weird Al Yankovic, Patton Oswalt, William Shatner, Felicia Day... and that's just who's already been on! Think of all the possibilities the show has in terms of guest stars! I mean, if they can get popular movie stars for the movie, then what's stopping them from bringing in big stars to voice characters on the show itself?
This premiere was very nice. It was great to see some of our old friends from past seasons and new ones. I love how the events of the movie was established, especially the hippogriffs/hippocampi. The students are very enjoyable, Silverstream is my favorite of the six(she’s just like her cousin, Skystar).😁 Chancellor Neighsay reminds me of Doctor Strange, I noticed this during the second half of the first part. Let’s hope S8 is just as good as the last because I’m liking where this is going so far.
Neighsay is nothing like Strange, thankfully. While it's nice to have male characters in the Student6, I can't help but wonder... why Gallus and not Gabby?

I loved this premiere! While it wasn't an epic adventure I don't think that all of the premieres need to be an epic adventure. It was so great to see tie ins and straight up call backs to the movie, that was awesome! I know some people were upset/wary about this idea but I personally at least think that opening up a school is the most normal transition that the series has ever had. I love that the series continues to change the status quo, while this series is a family show and can be enjoyed by anyone, it is still a kids show and so many kids shows stay with the status quo, I'm hoping that MLP FIM will open doors for future cartoons and let them break out of the status quo. There were a lot of great interactions between characters, enjoyed the song. The series is getting incredibly creative with showing us magic. (Also as a minor note I really wanted to know why griffins breathed fire, lol). I don't know about anyone else, but this has made me super hyped for season 8! Introducing new characters and new friendship lessons so we don't continue to learn the same lesson, what could be better? Overall a great premiere, not sure where I would rank it but I really loved it personally Also stupid youtube isn't letting me spread out my comments so they aren't all together.

I LOVE the moral of these episodes! Its something that many adults have yet to learn. Something is not bad just because it is new, and furthermore, old rules and traditions cannot and often do not apply to them. As such, "The system" as well as those who follow it must learn to adapt. Many people need to learn to accept new things (such as technology for xample) for the benefits they bring, not gripe about how dangerous and/or unpredictable it could be. These episodes very nicely illustrated the process by which innovation happens, and the ways in which society often learns to cope with it!
I felt like most of the Mane 6 shouldn't be teachers (expect Twilight) because all of them have jobs. If I were Twilight, I would have hired Maud, Zecora, Sunburst, and Moondancer for Teachers and ask Cheerilee advice for how to run a school.

A position as teacher could provide her the resources she needs to do her research and give her an opportunity to teach some lessons. Zecora just lives in her tree in the everfree. I noticed a fair bit of interesting naming conventions; Gallus and Ocellus. Gallus=Latin genus name for the domesticated chicken, fitting with both the gryphons' avian traits and their tendency to use names that start with the letter G. Ocellus=A term for small simplistic extra eyes that some insects have, fitting with the changelings' insect motifs.
I think what be really cool is that these kids became the new bearers of the elements of harmony. It would add diversity seeing as how there are both boys and girls and they’re different species.
You like him because of the fact that he is voiced by an actor from an overrated cartoon. I like him because he is an incredibly realistic villain which represents racist bureaucracy of the Goverment which creates the need for things like black lives matter.

Kinda thinking this'll be another sort of season arc anyway. There's no way the the chancellor's comments are just throwaway lines at the end, and I wouldn't be surprised if it might be a newer version of "To Where and Back Again" once Season 8 ends.

I actually really liked this premiere, first time I've been interested in the series since I stopped watching after Season 5 finished. It brought back some Season 1 vibes and these new characters are so cute and cool and overall it really breathes some new fresh air into the series.

You like him because of the fact that he is voiced by an actor from an overrated cartoon. I like him because he is an incredibly realistic villain which represents racist bureaucracy of the Goverment which creates the need for things like black lives matter.

Kinda thinking this'll be another sort of season arc anyway. There's no way the the chancellor's comments are just throwaway lines at the end, and I wouldn't be surprised if it might be a newer version of "To Where and Back Again" once Season 8 ends.

I actually really liked this premiere, first time I've been interested in the series since I stopped watching after Season 5 finished. It brought back some Season 1 vibes and these new characters are so cute and cool and overall it really breathes some new fresh air into the series.

I heard that the movie was actually being written starting around half way through season 4! Crazy, right?! At best, they could only fit characters like Starlight in as cameos... but that doesn't explain Discord
