+my little brony Griffon designs seem to be based on various types of birds: bald eagles (Gilda), vultures (Grandpa Gruff), falcons, and there were even some background griffons with owl or crow-like features in the Last treasure of Griffonstone... I guess Gallus' design is just inspired by the Blue Macaw, which has bright blue and yellow feathers.
i'm calling it right now Gallus is future Element of Loyalty, he's rough around the edges but so far i've seen this guy care about his friends he actually cares about. he even tries to make them (which was bad on his part), but he owned to it.
Clayton Johnson Actually, he is mostly the power of friendship, but in season 9 episode 3 I think? He has the element of loyalty going to him, but they don’t have any elements in particular connected to them.

Who's to say she didn't. They said at the end they suspected Gallus but were giving him the chance to be honest. Maybe they reasoned why because of knowing his family situation.
That's what I always thought! Still, for the sake of anyone who missed Surf and/or Turf, it would have been nice to have a scene of Twilight and Dash discussing their suspicions. I mean, Gallus is a troublemaker by nature as is Smolder. Such a scene wouldn't have taken long, wouldn't necessarily have to reveal the orphan bombshell early, and Twi and Dash would have come out looking better for it.

This was another fun Hearth's Warming episode. Interesting stories from the young six with adorable, funny and sad moments from everyone. Gallus' story kinda broke me though. I felt bad for him so much, that my fondness for his character grew. One of my favorite parts of the episode was seeing the Storm King and Queen Novo make their first series cameo(even though they're book illustrations), I hope to see the other characters from the movie make an appearance soon. Great reaction Blank. =)
Ocellus has the absolute best holiday story, by a wide margin. That said, you can't help but wonder... "Say, you yaks sure do smash things a lot. Isn't that kinda violent?" -"Yak can't help but notice ponies still have Timberwolf problem while yaks do not." "... Point taken." You just know that kind of conversation has to happen at some point. Bonus points for Gallus and his voice cracking, though. That was pretty decent acting. His animations there, too, the little fist-balling, nice touch.
This was a really great ep, very feelsy and with a ton of great worldbuilding. Second best HW ep for me after Carol. Also fun fact, the Yak holiday? Snildarfest? 'Snildar' is Icelandic for 'Smash'.

This episode completely disrupted my seasonal feels clock. You have to imagine, here in Europe we've had an extremely uncommonly hot summer, I've been at the beach at the Silver Lake (used to be a mine a long time ago, now it's a lake hence the name) all the time, went swimming, drank cocktails, went sunbathing, and then I come home and suddenly there's a Christmas episode. So I watch it, and then the weather cools down just slightly and suddenly I have the Christmas Heebie Jeebies, and even worse! Halloween is on the way and the stores are selling spooky stuff! So I'm having both the Christmas Heebie Jeebies, the Halloween Sppoks and the Summer Jams!!! this is ridiculous!
Some of the Young 6's stories were almost like the Titanic''s story. Silverstream's story of Celebrating A holiday 3 days in a row due to the Storm King's death is very satisfying. I'm actually very happy that she celebrates a movie villain's demise from falling off the edge of the balcony & shattering to pieces. She might not know it though, so I'll tell her.
That's 1 thing she has, pure excitement. Maybe that's her element. When she learned that The Storm King fell to his death & Shattered to pieces, she was very happier than before. I think what else she might find awesome is that the shattered to pieces, he landed right next to the palace's stairs. Silverstream loves stairs.
I know, right? I mean, I have seen a lot of villains fall to their deaths in various movies throughout the years. That's what makes a movie climatic. Disney uses it a lot. It was also in Die Hard.

Reminds me of that Catch the Fish thing at the Salmon Run in Brother Bear 16:40 uh, bit of an overreaction there, everyone. It's not like Twilight wouldn't EVER let you go home. MLP, you've danced around whether or not Scootaloo was an orphan for the last 7 1/2 seasons and yet you're outright saying Galus is an orphan? WTF, MLP? Yes, I know it was confirmed by those books that Scoots has parents who are away all the time and she lives with her lesbian aunts, but my point still stands. Though that does beg the question 1, why Galus was chosen for the Friendship School in the first place and 2, why Grandpa Gruff brought him over or even cared when Galus ran away Or why he cared whether or not Galus stayed at the school when Galus is an orphan and not a part of his family. I loved this episode. My one complaint was Sandbar at the end when he really pushes his theory that Ocellus was the the culprate. Sandbar won me over early on as his mellow attitude made him a fair and open minded mediator between the student 6 as well as a drive to do the take action when his friends need him. Here however we see that he is prejudiced against changelings, even if that changeling is one of his best friends. It's kind of unsettling.
Poor Gallus I didn't know that he's an orphan. He did ruin the decorations, but he wanted to stay with his friends. He dosen't knows what it's like to have parents or siblings. He has a life similar to Naruto's. Looks like he has two choices: either he gets adopted by a couple who will love and support him, or he will make a family of his own. Anyway I hope he will have a better life becouse no one deserves to be lonely. Also this is the fourth Hearth's Warming episode. I hope we'll have a third Nightmare Night episode where the students go trick or treating.

He did 'storm' in on their lives and in order to escape his wrath, the Hippogriffs went underwater. I think she'll still be rather happy.

Seriously... Heartwarming finale?
I loved this episode. My one complaint was Sandbar at the end when he really pushes his theory that Ocellus was the the culprate. Sandbar won me over early on as his mellow attitude made him a fair and open minded mediator between the student 6 as well as a drive to do the take action when his friends need him. Here however we see that he is prejudiced against changelings, even if that changeling is one of his best friends. It's kind of unsettling.

Silverstream is officially my favorite
Poor Gallus I didn't know that he's an orphan. He did ruin the decorations, but he wanted to stay with his friends. He dosen't knows what it's like to have parents or siblings. He has a life similar to Naruto's. Looks like he has two choices: either he gets adopted by a couple who will love and support him, or he will make a family of his own. Anyway I hope he will have a better life becouse no one deserves to be lonely.
Also this is the fourth Hearth's Warming episode. I hope we'll have a third Nightmare Night episode where the students go trick or treating.
