Be thankful you still have your moms and can talk about them like this. I'm in my early thirties with none of that help.

When I had baby #1 and was struggling with breastfeeding, my MIL relished me with stories of how she successfully breastfed both her kids and how it was so hard to get baby #2 off the breast at 2 years. Which was not helpful to my mental state, guilt and feeling of failure. So, my #1 advice to all moms (new and old), make space for a struggling mom and support. Even if you were a superstar at everything, don't say it. Just listen and let the new mom vent. If you have solid strategies that could help, feel free to offer that. But without the pat on your back and making a struggling mom feel like she must be doing something wrong to not have the same experience as you did. Make space and make the new mom feel safe and loved.

    Everything is so relatable!
    The sleepless nights
    Postpartum blues
    Breastfeeding
    Epidural/natural
We all go through some version of mom shaming

My MIL mom shamed me for not talking to my baby enough because she didn’t smile and coo at them when we were on a video call with them. My baby is less than 2 months old … 🙄

This was good y’all..I was so naive at the start of my mom journey, I remember a lady at the park in the community where I lived look at me weirdly and ask me why my 2 year old was crying. He was crying coz I told him it was time to go home for dinner … and he wanted to keep playing. She was standing right next to me for quite a while so she did have context! I mean , for 5 secs I really felt so judged , like it was my fault that my son was bawling 😂 Glad I snapped out of it .. I replied with “ he’s a 2 year old who doesn’t want to leave the park, everything is fine”

The line I say in the shop is “we aren’t here for toys today but if it’s here ne t time we will get it” and then my kids calm down. Alhamdulillah. When I have the money I will buy it if it’s still there.

I was unable to breastfeed my first kiddo because of numerous reasons...i had an aunty tell me "don't you know the benefits of breastfeeding? Why won't you breastfeed your son?"...mind you, I'm a nurse by profession...yes aunty i know in and out the benefits of nursing your child. I was also dealing with so much postpartum anxiety at that time that her comment just made me feel even more inadequate as a mom, who clearly didn't care about the wellbeing of her child 😑🙄

I found this video all kinds of ironic being called “mom shaming” because you guys unintentionally mom shamed to validate your own parenting choices. If I said I was very proud of parenting my own kids and no one will do a better job than me and there’s many things I can do to socialize my children other than having some overworked min wage daycare worker watch my child along with 50 other kids you would find that “shaming” and “triggering” yet in the same breath went on about how kids need to be out there to develop properly and how you want to do something with your life as if raising your children full time especially in the early years isn’t doing something with your life. Yikes. I don’t know if you guys are even going to read this and try to think at it from a different perspective or just write it off as an annoying hate comment, but truly this isn’t hate. I think everyone’s doing the best they can and have different choices that they believe in and that work for them. We don’t have to put each other down to feel better about ourselves. Contradictory to what you may believe, stay at home moms are notoriously known as the punching bag of society and have been. Both working and stay at home moms receive hate and praise, and I think mothers who have experience both can tell u first hand
EDIT: okay I’m glad I kept listening because the conversation progressed in a good way. I was slightly triggered at the start lol

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Both stay at home moms and working moms do a lot. We’ve experienced both and both roles deserve credit❤️

I was 22 when i had my son. After 2 weeks after birth, i went to work bcz me and my husband we have a restaurant and we need to be there both. I run the front and he is an all rounder. Now i‘m 24 having a two year old, going on the weekends for 4-5 hours to work. I run the house, laundry everything, i work and have my baby. It’s so hard. Sometimes i lay in bed and ask myself how i do it🫥
(Sorry for my bad English 🇩🇪🇵🇰 )
