    I am a newbie to this and have spent countless hours watching POD videos on youtube. So far I am confused and have "information overload"! But I came across your videos and subscribed to your channel. What a difference! I'm actually starting to learn POD! Thanks for your honesty and may God bless.

    Not my experience at all, I’m a small store on Etsy making sales! Etsy is great guys please don’t be afraid to give it a shot. There’s so many people going onto Etsy with the intention to buy stuff. Not the same can be said for social media!! Just make sure you’re doing your product research and bring something new to the table! Find your customers first then make your designs. Also get good at designing if you’re in it for the long haul with POD get really focused on your designs because THATS what will make the difference the products are the same it’s the design that strikes emotion with your customers for them to purchase. Love your content dude just didn’t want people to not try Etsy it’s really been the best option for me so far!

      Wrong. Etsy is the worst platform to start on like you can't even open an account without getting suspended the moment you create it

    13%-14% etsy fee + advertising costs + shipping + cost of product. Good luck actually profiting on etsy. Highly recommend making your own website and building an audience of your own to market to there's dramatically more profit to be made this way.

    Very interesting video. I have both an Etsy and Shopify stores. Sadly, I no longer have a Facebook page and the training course I took and paid for, got me bummed out and very discouraged. So I am back to Level 1 and will have to refocus and rebuild on a social media platform.

    Even department stores use white backgrounds but they put different models and poses in the photos. The shop you showed looks like they cut and pasted everything and the designs don’t stand out because of it either.
    If you’re going to do t-shirts it seems like you’d be better off selling them on your own site. They can be an add on (upsell) to a product like the sneakers. So customers have an option to match. Part of the problem w Etsy is so many people are doing the same thing and you can see it. And like you said, end up in a sea of the same sorts of shirts and same mock-ups.

    • @theprincessthepea441
      @theprincessthepea441 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RealJoeRobert They very much could be Pillow Profit Shoes. Perhaps a little more detail as to where they could have been distributed may prevent misunderstanding. I understood it as though Love Trendify was being suggested as a P.O.D. platform. Just a simple misinterpretation.

    *After some thought, I really want to add a thought about your myth about t-shirts being a good starting point. By no means do I have the years of experience you have but I disagree. I think it is actually a good place to start for one reason. It hopefully weeds out the "throw some words on a shirt and call it a day" crowd out pretty quick. Take one scroll through the "saturated" market of Shopify and Etsy stores loaded with low quality, poorly designed t-shirts and you will clearly see that the GOOD shirts clearly stand out in the crowd. T-shirts are relatively easy to design technically so they are beginner friendly yes. The big problem of the market is oversaturation as you point out. However you are not addressing the fact the market is this way because 100's of people with zero artistic ability are slapping recycled designs on shirts. They have been sold this idea that t-shirts are a quick buck easy sell. Just as you say it's a "build it and they will come" mentality despite glaring design flaws, poor font choices, spelling errors and lack of creativity. I started 18 years ago just making simple shirts to promote my restaurant. By no means am I seasoned expert but I know my way around design programs, have an art major, a working knowledge of the printing process and marketing strategies. I still think there is room for people like me to have modest success. BUT thanks for pointing out the fact the profits are relatively low in comparison to other POD products out there. I was wondering about blankets and cutting boards (which is how I found your videos). Thanks for letting me air my 2 cents.

    Hi Joe, I am not sure if read the comments. I sent you a Facebook message and an email like you requested when you announced the winner of the Design by Ninja price a couple of weeks ago. However, I have not heard back about to to open and set up my account. Could you please let me know the next step I need to do?
