Your Lucky to be able to shoot in your back garden. These days the neighbours only have to get on look at what they think is an air weapon and you've got Old Bill knocking at the door. Airgunners get a really raw deal.
It’s not against the law to shoot an Airgun in your Garden providing the projectile stays within the confines of the land you have permission to shoot on. Providing you are not making a disturbance and your Airgun is legal, there is no offence being committed. Get some tin cans, a good backstop and invite them over for a shoot and a chat!
The law says 20 feet or 20 meters from public. But today it’s hard to shoot a gun in the garden if I did some shooting in my garden the police would knock my door and it’s not my neighbour. Today people just phone the police even if they can’t see you I’m 58 this year but when I was home with my two brothers we shoot every day but the neighbours all got on and we all new each other it’s not like that now.
Hi Martin, This is from the .gov website. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1171973/Air_weapons_safety_leaflet_6-4.pdf And this is just general information www.shootinguk.co.uk/shooting/garden-air-gunning-20-rules-to-follow-73480/ If you are shooting on your own land and the pellets stay within the boundaries of your land, you are ok.
@@martinscopes3914 Yeah I remember those days too. Used to practice in the garden with air rifles such as the Original 45, Webley Vulcan and HW35. No complaints and didn't even think we would get any. Today however there is a real downer on airguns. Whether it's legal or not I still wouldn't want that hassle of Old Bill knocking on the door. So I just go to the FT club.
Hi good video. The CP2s really are great little guns , as with all co2 powered guns much better and more efficient in.22 . These can easily be tuned to full UK power in rifle format (.22 version) with a little valve work and 4mm transfer ports.
This is a fantastic little gun.super light, pretty accurate and really nice with a bipod. excellent for plinking, but a little underpowered if you are intending to use it as a ratter/vermin control. If using it for pest control select your pellets carefully, and do check the barrel and deburr if necessary as per the other video's recommended on here Can't complain for the price though. It's very versatile.
@@gardenguns nice vid you did previously with the cp2.Please could you do some more pellet specials with this gun.. ie muzzle velocity versus impact velocity. That way we could have a good idea of which pellets seem to suit best(and would be useful knowing energy retention for pest control) My CP2 seems to like firing RWS superdomes, but the ballistics data i've seen on them doesn't hold them in such high regard out at distance.I'd love to see a comparison
Why's it like 2 to3 ft-lb under the stated power 😢 just ordered this amd its not as acidic as the air force one trophy i was going to get and actually go to a shop for thats was within traveling on public transport distance instead ordered this from Nottingham for 180 delivered in 22 and im thinking im slightly gutted a bit as at just over 6ftlb ots under power think o may still have to purchase one 😅
@gardenguns that's good then but had gotten mixed up with a different video I think of the Diana version or something similar shooting high 6 with long barrel . Unfortunately my gun isn't coming as shol rang.me.thos.morning said they can't post air guns and non EOF local shops have it think I'm going go Blackpool on train tomorrow see what can find
@@davidroberts6977 Good luck. Remember CO2 is a temperature sensitive Gas. The rifle will have higher power for longer in the summer and perform a lot weaker when it’s cold in the winter.
Thanks again mate, I did just comment on your original video review of the Victory... Very helpful and looking at purchasing one... Best wishes from South Wales
Oooohhh. That is not good. Try getting n touch with sports marketing. They import and distribute SMK products in the uk. I can’t guarantee hey will be able to help, however that is where I would start.
Hey, I just got this for my wife. I found a nice CIVILIFE Red/green dot reflex with red laser on side. In order to install sight, I had to remove rear sight, seems I have to leave the original sight screws out. Does this hurt anything, or should a find some shorter replacement screws. Thanks
Been a while since I have played with mine, so my memory is not that good. However if I remember right you need to remove the rear sight to be able to use the rail on top of the CP2. There were no problems when I did I it.
I have been told from the supplier that the CP2 and the Diana are the same design. Not sure about where they are made. My CP2 was in .22. Hope this helps.
Fantastic review, the best review I've seen on this gun FULL STOP! I'm really excited by this weapon and thinking of hitting the button on one. For those that own the camo version... is it susceptible to scratches on the camo finish or have you found it to be quite durable???
Thanks for the feed back. Glad you enjoyed the video! Mine has been quite durable. Having said that I quite like the distressed look on a camo stock! 😁
@@gardenguns Well I was debating on adding a new pistol or a new rifle that I had my eye on, then this little beauty came along and its 2 birds with...! 😎👍
I think it is one of the best priced bits of kit out there for what you get. Having said that I am thinking about getting a 2250 to play with and try the upgrades to see where you end up.
It seems to depend on who you speak to. When I looked at the guidelines I thought it would be looked at as a rifle. However I am not a specialist in fire arms law. After a year my CP2 is well under the legal limit now with the small barrel on.
@@gardenguns thank you, im hitting the shops next week. I'm gonna grab one. Looks a good package for the price. You think a little laser dot or red dot sight would compliment it? All the best wishes to you as well. Thank you
Red dot is the best to start with. A cheap 3-7 or 3-9 by32 scope would be good as well. Hawke do one. I used a Hawke 3-9x32 on mine for shooting past 20 yards
@@gardenguns yes i think a red dot for the back garden its only short distance. I've got a really good scope on my rifle for long range. This is just gonna be my back garden toy
My cp 2 is low on power with long barrel , and around 5,8 in pistol barrel mode, , have done quite a few vids on my TH-cam, channel , thumbs up from me shaneweightman
pcp model is much better .mod the valve / hammer/ transfer port /and fit a reg you can then fill to 300 bar /you can get them to run at 10 ftb+ no prob and still get 20 +shots at that power. o and fit a good silencer not the crap item that comes with it .makes for a ideal mid range virmin gun .177 cal
Well done about the washer going into the breach. You're the 1st review to make a serious point of that.
Thanks. I appreciate the Feedback!

@@gardenguns in a lot of ways I find co2 guns better than pcp as they are so easy no need for a tank or spending 10 mins pumping up
