I've read all three and the last one left me like "is that it?" 😭 the 2nd one is definitely my favourite!! I'll be re-reading all three this year because I'm craving those Jacks moments hahaha
Have you read the alternate endings? edit: youtube isnt letting me comment🙄. Barnes and Noble, Waterstones and OwlCrate have alternative endings!! I was so excited to find out because after reading OUABH I needed more of evajacks DESPERATELY. If you google "Once upon a broken heart alternative endings" A reddit thread should pop up and someone in the comments has a link to a google docs.

I'm not usually into fantasy books, but this trilogy has made me want to read more! Something I personally liked is that there aren't any spicy scenes, yet they still have strong bonds. Also, I'm proud of myself for reading fantasy in my second language (English); it's a great achievement and I'll never forget these books!
I love this!!! As much as spicy scenes can be fun I definitely agree that it’s a credit to a book when there aren’t any and you can still feel the connection between the love interests! I’m glad you loved it!
The fact you uploaded a reading vlog for once upon a broken heart whilst I’m reading it omggg😭that’s insane, I’m so happy you enjoyed the series!!! I’ve only read the first two books because I’m waiting for the paperback for the third one to come out in June…but I’m so in love with EvaJacks that it’s an issue…I’m very much in love with Jacks as a character…can’t believe he isn’t real 🦊🏹(btw I’m happy to talk about this book in depth because trust me…I’m literally bursting after the second one😭)
It’s interesting to hear other people’s opinions on this series, only because I read the first book and, personally, I hated it 😅 there were far too many plot elements or character traits that were obviously heavily influenced by other fantasy books/films - mainly Howls Moving Castle - that I just couldn’t believe this book was an original piece of literature. The amount of things that happened in the first book alone too was very overwhelming - curses, the going from rags to riches, evil queens and princes, demons and faits, vampires, castle with hidden secrets etc. Totally aware that people love these books but for me I just couldn’t get passed how things were taken from other stories and given new names or outcomes
Aww its sad that you hated it. The fairytale and heavily influenced nature of the story was what made up its charm for me. The stories felt like a snug little baby blanket to me.
Oh man I couldn;t get into this book when I first bought it last year, probably because I had a hard time visualizing the characters, and after I saw some of the beautiful fan art it helped me so much! The book will play like a movie in my head now.
I love this trilogy, one of my favourite books,, especially the second🍎🦊🤍 it’s just so magical and immersive, I feel like I get transported to the Magnificent North every time read it ✨
My mother and I read the first one but we sorta thought it was all over the place so I suggested we get the other two just to see if we like it. I've read the full series through once and A Ballad of Never After three times. I got them a little over a week ago.
Unpopular opinion: the third book in the series was my favourite! I did not like the first book at all, it was so confusing. What got me reading the second book was that it was everyone's favourite and the ending of the first book did leave me intrigued. I somewhat understood the hype of the second book but coming from not liking the first, I wasn't as attached to the characters. But the third book! The pacing in it was so good imo and it felt more high stakes with Apollo being.. well Apollo. Idk the vibes were just there for me
I usually don't read romance books (of any kind, classic or "modern", because I find it hard to connect and I like a very specific kind of romance) but the first two in this series were so nice and heartwarming, the third (final) book really disappointed me, it was rushed, weird, didn't feel natural to me, even Jacks character changed drastically (where was his charisma left? I don't know) so I think it would be a wise decision by the author to rewrite the last book in a more conscious way, because the story was really nice (so far) and it deserves better.
Where did you get the „ Once Upon a Broken Heart“ from ? Please if anyone knows this could you please answer cuz I wanna make a ouabh cover myself and for that I need the font
Book 2 is my favourite, I hated book 3 for like the first half of it. The ending to book 3 left me a little meh, but I didn’t hate it overall. I’m that person who didn’t read Caraval beforehand so now I’m reading that series and guess I’ll see an earlier version of jacks. Gonna miss the little fox in those books cause man I live for the way he called Eva little fox
Wait do i have a different book?? In mine the old lady fortuna is not Apollo’s mom 5:27 and Lala isn’t a Vampire 10:13 she’s just another fate that’s called the unwed bride .. am I tripping?!!
@@Silverrfox247 that's what I thought but archer (jacks) and fox (the girl) loved each other too. and I'm sure there must be some others girls also who loved jacks too.
@@bhoomika.1989 oh I don’t wanna spoil it for you, and I just realized that, after reading longer, I wasn’t telling the whole thing of why that happened- all I will say is that they got his story wrong
I hate once upon a broken heart. I don't understand the hype. I heard the second is the best one but after reading the first one I just have no interest. It took 2 months to read it cause I had to re read some lines, I wasn't really interested. Felt like I was reading 3 different stories.

The prison healer series. The Shepard King (one dark window) series.
Ooo I’ve heard good things about the prison healer series!!
wait i got a pink version is it different or just different cover?
I think the ones I have are the exclusive paperback editions!
oh tysm
I read the first one and said “That’s it I’m not reading the rest” Then I got bored and hate read the rest of the series
I know the books in this series but what is the actual name of the series?
The Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy.
GUYS CAN I READ THIS WITHOUT READING CARAVAL TRILOGY?????? PLEASE TELL ME
Definitely!!! (I haven’t read caraval) but you do get spoiled for the ending of caraval in OUABH so if you want to read it I would read it first!
Yeey Thank you so much
How was jacks able to kiss her without killing her?
because it was a ‘kiss of true love’ so his curse broke I thinkkk
