On the lower end 3,000 on the higher end 10,000. 10,000 and above is usually custom gothic armor which is fitted to your body and your body only. You can find some cheaper brigandine that provide good protection at 500 dollars. The most expensive stuff are the helmet, gloves, and leg, and arm problems. The helmet is the most important part or the kit you want a good helmet. You can recover from broken bones but you will not recover from a brain injury. There are many different types of helmets which all have their advantages and disadvantages. Some helmets provide very good protection but are hard see out of and breathe out of. Some are a lot easier to see and breath out of but provide less protection. So you want to find a happy medium between the two. Many of the really protective helmets can have more holes added to them so it is easier to breath as well so keep that in mind.

And I thought being a shooter was an expensive hobby! Ok to be fair, if I had my ideal kit, I’d probably go way beyond that price. And most of this seems like a one time purchase whereas I blaze through ammo.
the pricing is too much, but MAN, knight dueling would absolutely be a hobby i'd get into.

I noticed you don`t use gambeson for the legs. In my club here in Argentina, most of us do use leg gambeson.
How did you set up your greaves so that they don`t dig into your foot? do they lock on the sabaton?
I did notice that they close perfectly around your shin and calves, but do they not slide off?

@@ASRtek maybe not plastic, probably cheap aluminum, but cheap aluminum will not save you from a hit with a wooden stick, let alone an axe

What about maintenance costs too? The armor takes lots of wear and tear from combat use.
