i absolutely appreciate all your videos❤, i remember the first video i learned on this channel to draw hatsune miku walk cycle, it's been 2+ years studying animation and compositing, and this year i got a job as a compositor in japan. Thanks a lot I've made this far with the help of your videos 😊😊
I think that would be super helpful too! I love how the final linework looks with all of the colors, but actually doing them on my own drawings is another story.
Animators are using these lines before actual coloring to indicate Highlights and Shadows and/or gradient. Blue lines : Shadows outlines Red lines : Highlights outlines Green lines : Gradient indicator And they also commonly fill in those colors, which varies on our individual opinion. For example : (For the gradient, you don't really have to fill in.) Purple : Hair Shadow Yellow : Highlights fill in Light/Dark Green : Saturation Lighter Blue : Others (Clothes, skin...) Slight darker Yellow : Skin Shadows It really varies depending on you. I honestly use pink for accessories and orange for skin Shadows. It's very up to you to choose how many fill in colors, outlines you are comfortable with and in which spot you put them.
Dong could you do a video on genga coloring someday, not just the common universal colors but all the sort of coloring rules they use with different settei for different productions, as well as for fx and other obscure colorings and what they indicate for comp? love your videos!
> If you don't have cossplayer grab your own face and a mirror to do your own expressions Thanks for the suggestion, I will crossdress as miku. (jk, I think I'll just try using expressions in MMD for reference)
Hi sir i'm a big fan of your from Bangladesh, i'm a student of engineering, but i want to be a anime artist, and i love to watch your videos, i learn a lot from your video but i have no device to practice your teaching 💔So please pray for me so that i can manage a device for my self❤️☺️
Yeah equipment is pretty expensive. But my advice is to just get the device you actually want instead of skimping to save because you save money that way. You might want to buy something quick so you can start, but each device has a different pros and cons and changing devices can make your artwork look bad until you get used to it. Better to just delay a little and just get that ideal device of your choice.
@Dong Chang Do you have a video dedicated of explaining the Color Red,Blue and green on the chareters animation meaning? Tbh I'm still confused what does colors means when you are animated? Bayduway hopefully my question makes sense.
I picked up those tips in this video: th-cam.com/video/lTwMjbD2adQ/w-d-xo.html , but there could be others. From what I understand is the red lines represent highlights while the blue represents the shadow. The yellow and green are the fills for highlights and shadows respectively (these may vary in different studios). Hope this helps

Please use Open Toonz again if you can so it gets more attention
And when you study facial expressions do you make it into a character like you did or just recreate the person in a realistic style.
Did you attend art school
may I ask what brush you are using in this video?
