- Established in 1662, our pavilion is adorned
with the fragrance of onsen and artifacts
spanning different eras. During the Meiji
period (1868-1912), notable figures like
Takayoshi Kido, Takamori Saigo, Kaishu
Katsu, Tesshu Yamaoka, and Taneomi Soejima
convened here. The ryokan, a historical
venue, has welcomed diverse guests,
including members of the imperial family.
Our private onsen, flowing at 200 liters
per minute, features sulfur, sulfate, and
hydrogen carbonate for skin nourishment.
Enjoy the pure onsen experience without
any added water or heating.
Matsuzakaya Honten is an all-inclusive ryokan.
