Hey you got your hands on a dirt devil. I think it was you that was wanting to buy the 5200 I had before it was combined with another machine, so glad to see your got one. If memory serves you could replace the brushroll bearings if you pull the "spindle" the bearings are on out of the brushroll It was a little hard to do, you may want to use something with a curved end like tack pry tools
That Elite 300 (which is an Elite 350 without a headlight) has an outer bag from an Elite 5.0 (basically the Kmart version of the Elite 300) that was put in place of the original likely since it was ripped by the previous owner, and also that motor doesn't sound original either (and it sounds pretty fine to me, I don't hear any dry bearing noises), in fact, it sounds like the previous owner (who likely took it to a vacuum shop) put a later model 7 amp motor in place of the original 5 amp (you can mostly tell it's a 7 amp motor since the motor sounds a bit more high pitched than the 5 amp). You are right, I'm not very versed in the Dirt Devil vacuums (and if I'm going to be honest, I'm not a fan of them because of my bad experience with a direct air Featherlite). I liked how you pronounced my last name the German way BTW.
@graysonsvacsandmowers5426 German's know how to pronounce German last names as mine is German too 😁😁 Rec-ten-wald, you wouldn't believe how many people have mispronounced it. This machine actually does have a headlight bulb, it was just dead. I have no idea what motor is in it nor did I know it had a headlight till I took the cover off to change the belt and presto there was a headlight in there.
My grandparents use to own the dirt devil lite without the hose and a can vac

@Blackheartvacs I actually managed to find a new brush roll online for it. It was very hard to find but I did it PTL...
@Blackheartvacs and yes it was me that wanted your 5200. The model number on this one is the 085300.
@@TRec3791 Nice!
@@Blackheartvacs do you happen to have any parts for these machines in your collection that I could purchase?
@@TRec3791 I don't.
