Freedom of press overides that. Similar to how police officers always ask you not to film them but you can because ghey are public servents. This is a public building as he says. He explained himself very well. It is like a home owner complaining about people walking on the sidewalk in their yard. Yes, you are in front of their yard, but the sidewalk is for everyone.
But this guy is throwing around the “1st amendment freedom of the press” even though hes using it incorrectly. Freedom of press is largely thought of to have freedom to publish and document and write things not get a free press pass to public buildings. Right, she doesnt simply “have authority” over him like it’s some status or perpetual control, she has limited authority based on the law that only applies to certain situations and policies. Other than that she’s just another person
She does have the authority though. He's been asked to leave by building staff, and he isn't leaving so he's trespassing. And despite what this "auditor" cries about it being a public building, everyone knows a "public" building doesn't mean no one owns it
They need to hire people who arent power hungry. Props to this dude for handling this exceptionally well.
It’s hard to tell thou, power hungry people will do anything to get power, they most prob appear all nice in their job interview and whenever there around they’re superiors.
It’s hard though. People who don’t want power are less likely to apply to a position with power. I wish they would populate the police force, but they don’t. Mass firing, replace leadership, more scrutinized hiring process, with better training.

When a police officer, or rather anyone, asks you to leave and you approach them that can easily be determined as an aggressive gesture and can be determined as threatening. "Legal business" as he puts it doesn't mean someone can't force you to leave if you act inappropriately just because you start spouting "legal rights." Attempting to prevent a citizen from conducting business in a government building funded by taxpayers. Stating he’s been asked to leave when he hadn’t been. Attempting to infringe upon his 1st & 4th amendment rights. The same rights she took an oath to protect & defend. Poli, how can you not see that she’s in the wrong here?
He was asked to leave, didn't leave, is now trespassing.
“Bitch” is just the perfect word to describe her
Why, she was very respectful. The reason she said keep walking that way is because she was tasked with removing him from the building and “that way” was the exit
I voiced that too!
@@duncansadorsky3650 boot licker and no she was NOT respectful at all. If that is what you think is respectful...DON'T HAVE KIDS!
Yes bitch would be a accurate description! If you are conducting lawful business, then obviously this guy should not be seen as a immediate threat. The female officer could have approached the journalist with a more appropriate tone.
@Duncan Sadorsky but as the conversation went on she started being one
Cops don't just show up out of thin air. You start things someone is calling.
earning the hate every single day, and then wondering why they are hated
Wow. She’s the straight up definition of passive aggressive.
“You can walk back that way” dude I salute you for keeping your cool.
The video ended and we don’t know what happened. The cops would only be there because the people in the building asked for help. I have a feeling he left. PS, asking for a supervisor doesn’t get you out of trouble it usually gets you in more……..
I would’ve replied “I can. But I’m not going to”
This man is a punk. He does this all the time..
Also her eyes how she closes them every time shows that she does not eveny want to hear hos respond
Really? What did the dude do to merit a police response? Don't you know a setup when you see it?
"You don't need to approach me" while they trynna gang up on the guy. I hate when they use this passive aggresiveness
Scenario: Someone you don't know comes onto your property and does something wrong or starts getting on your nerves, maybe doing something illegal... just generally being a nuisance. You clearly ask them to leave your property, and they proceed to approach you.
You'd let said person just approach you? That's a good way to get in distance of a fight, a stab, or a point blank gunshot.
The cops were called for a reason, this dude didn't just have his camera out 0.5 seconds before the cops arrived because he was being a good citizen.
@@SephirothXValentine you don’t need six officers for a job like this though, they should be trained at most it should take 3, dude don’t even have a weapon. The real question is if he’s actually within his right to be there. I think this was covered in audit the audit so I will check that before I say anything with certainty
@@nolyfe4814 oh lookie, a rare commenter who has basis for their claims, good on you. Most of this comment section is filled with bullshit, so thank you.
@@nolyfe4814 You are correct, six officers do not *need* to be there, however should an issue break out it's more beneficial to have 6 rather than 3, i.e. what if this dude had a gun or was ready to throw hands? They don't know what's going through his mind and it's better safe than sorry.
Regardless, those other 3 cops clearly did not have anywhere else better to be.
Just because you are within your "legal right" to be somewhere doesn't mean you can't be removed for causing a disturbance, which this guy must have done if someone called the police. They didn't show up just to harass him because they felt like it. He can always come back later or visit another office.
That’s straight up aggression. Ain’t nothin passive about it.
‘Independent journalist’ 😂
“You have no authority over me” “actually i do” 😂😂😂 serve and protect is the motto. Not power and authority. She needs a reality check
"Serve and Protect" is the motto of the LAPD, not cops in general... People just assume it is because so many cop shows take place in LA.
@@ccggeniusserve and protect ...yep in EU too it's their job essentially
What a bullshit, cops need all day long authority, otherwise they prevent nothing. So go check your skateboard.
both go hand in hand, you cant be responsible for something you dont have the power to change.
@@ccggenius serve and protect is on the sides of many different police departments cars around the nation but you wouldn't know that. 🤷
Imagine being told “you don’t have to approach me” while approaching 😂 Delusional
I took it more as “don’t step further inside or get closer, because I’m coming to you” they want him out not further in
Ur not making any sense

Supervisor messes this up also, then LT came out and sent them packing.
“dont approach me” *proceeds to approach herself*😭
His names Shaun Mendes, he’s done dozens of audits, won a few court cases and generally kicked ass. I recommend you guys look him up if you’re into this stuff
Thank you!!!
He was on The Roads with Beau I believe, regarding how police have targeted him for his success.
Sorry wrong that's the big-time New York scammer Sean Paul Reyes . An ex-felon. Who's been to prison for attempted robbery wasn't in there for days and he got beat up because of its mouth
She got confused and thought she was giving you a lawful order for a sec there ☕️
If the building workers asked him to leave it's trespassing
Ye no this seems to cut off before ant sort of response is givin

@@zacharydavis9129 there’s your opinion but I’m pretty sure certain employees have the authority to kick you out of any public building you’re at by law, and police will enforce it
the fact the supervisor didnt even speak up first should have been a sign she should have shut up and left him alone.
No💀
Supervisor just didn’t want to be on the internet😂 if they told him to leave he has to leave
She mightve been looking for a reason to write up the officer to and that was it lol
@@phantom8699 depending on the state and the full extent of what was going on. If he entered a public place and there wasn't any signs designating it a private area away from the public. Then it's implied consent. Granted if asked to leave you should leave. But if you are being asked to do so without having caused a scene and are trying to conduct business then the officers are in the wrong. Again we only see this snip so full context is lost. But if the lead didnt say something to him, the other lady should have approached things differently.
It didn’t sound to me like she was abusing her power as a police officer. She was trying to get the guy to leave a place that asked him to leave. He is the one that was acting like he could do what he wanted because he is a journalist. The cop talked calmly while telling him he had to leave because the business wanted him to leave.
Sounds like he was asked to leave by the workers in the building and refused.
When did you hear that?
@@janettefrazier9982 sounds like the individual still believes everything police say, despite decades of video proof to the contrary....
When bad police start getting held accountable for abusing power, **maybe** people will have a justified belief in their ability to tell the truth.
Until then.....
I can't believe anything they say without evidence.
No videos have circulated showing this man being asked to leave before the police show up (because they get **those** videos out FAST), indicating once again police are lying to manipulate the situation.
@@rando653that’s the thing. It’s a public building and he’s doing something there that he has the specific right to do, being kicked out for that is tyranny.
