    How can one specialize as a Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist in the UK, as well as working? I am already a Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist in my home country, and need to do a MSc in Anaesthesia to get into the UK system.

      Apply to anaesthetic jobs when you finish your NMC registration. If you get the job you will be enrolled in the anaesthetic course which takes 6 months here in the uk( you have study days in university and two mentors in the hospital to guide you) after which you can work as an anaesthetic nurse💙

    Nursing has got its own challenges everywhere but if you do what you love you are able to overcome the challenges but i feel bedside nursing for me it’s more challenging i want somewhere i can be able to focus on one patient then get done with them and then move to the next without having to think of 3 or more patients at that time. I love giving one to one care

    • @NurseDeo
      @NurseDeo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same thing, having too many patients at a time makes me feel like I do not give proper nursing care. I am just all over the place before you know it, it’s handover time and I can’t pin point what I did. If you love one to one then you’ll love periop, anaesthetics, or ICU.

      Got my Bsc in nursing and a Masters in anesthesia and critical care…
      Hoping to migrate to the UK.
      Have you got any ideas on the procedures to follow?

    • @uniquegabriel2697
      @uniquegabriel2697 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@neaanesthesiaguide1443 Hello, correct me if I’m wrong but I’m going to assume that a nurse anaesthetist in Cameroon has similar duties to their counterparts in Nigeria given the fact that you have your Masters in anaesthesia and critical care. In the UK it’s slightly different, as an anaesthetic nurse, your role is to “assist” in providing anaesthesia as opposed to directly performing these procedures, this may not be particularly exciting for you. You may or may not need to have training from institutions, that depends on your employer. What may interest you is the Nurse anaesthetist role or the Anaesthesia associate role, this role is relatively new. You’ll typically have to study for 2 years including clinical posting. This will also be facilitated by your employer, I don’t think you can study this one your own- I may be wrong. Please do read more on these roles, I’ll recommend the Royal college of anaesthetists and British Anaesthetic and Recovery Nurse Association. There are many more resources too that can help online.

    I’ve been working in the medical ward (FMW) for a couple of months. Mehhn that unit is something else especially here in Nigeria where you do last office’s 😭😭very often.
    Recently I was posted to the anesthetic unit ( Recovery room) it has been a whole different experience for me 😃. I thought it to be boring initially, but right now I am enjoying every bit of it. One patient per time like you said, no last offices, no relatives 😃 this one alone is relaxing.
    In all I think I am beginning to love this field of nursing. I hope to move soon to the UK and maybe specialize in it. Thanks for always sharing very insightful content.

    Honestly Nurse Deo, u think it’s that easy because youve never been faced with a challenge….
    U should see us panic when we have a difficult patient or a complication occurs during surgery…
    Or Maybe a cardiac arrest and u need to resuscitate…
    How about when u lose a patient …. U spend a week blaming yourself .. think about that before you think it’s that easy.
    There’s the medications you don’t need to joke with, the calculations, the similarities in their packaging etc
    It’s never simple nurse Deo

    • @NurseDeo
      @NurseDeo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤣🤣🤣 I work in cardiology and also see arrest here trust me Anesthetics is a lot easier! You always have the help around and everyone knows their role… and one patient at a time? You don’t want to know. Maybe here in the uk tho but it’s easier for me.
