Bro are you using Pipewire or PulseAudio ? By the way I have the SAME Laptop, 22.04 Sucks .. Try 23.04 ..I suggest you moreover install pop OS , its Smooth AF everything works.

Did you make sure that there was no error during the installation ? I had the same problem because my first installation failed. If so, look for the error on the Internet, try to fix it and run the installation again

it literally doesnt matter. all your servers will be online on cloud. the only thing which you'll be needing your laptop is for writing some scripts or workflows shit. that too can be done on some basicass 4gigs laptop
U are one of the best TH-camr whose videos i consistently watch, i am a bit scared to dual boot my pc because windows 11 run very smoothly rn no lag or delay but i so want to try arch so best way to do it think start with vm if i think (one more thing stopping me to dual boot because my pc has nvidia and have seen so many comments that nvidia sucks for linux) although i have tried other distro with VM Linux mint and ubuntu when i start up any distro i get a error and plus my mic and camera doesn’t work with any distro if there’s a fix please make a video on that humble request
You cannot Expect running Linux on VM works like BareMetal. Do one thing, if you have a spare SSD or external SSD you can install Linux on it and see if everything works. Don't worry it wont do anything to the windows drive.. See this video: th-cam.com/video/bfWdnCIrcxk/w-d-xo.html
yep harderthan expected 😅(i know a bit terminal and feel i should use arch for the "i use arch btw") wish me luch (i know its going to be a steep learning curve) edit: to be honest, i was in the opinion that arch linux only has a terminal (nothing else) and you have to create everything else by yourself (looks like i was wrong)

I solved it by using the Arch Linux version from july, instead of the one from august (currently the newest)

@@loterual archinstall is the easy method, if you do it manually (without using archinstall) its way harder
If you're getting "Can not find block device: /dev/sda1" enable EFI in your VM settings

You forgot to set up 'Profile', install it again.
Can I just skip the ping command? Because when I enter the command it reaches 40,000 and still it is downloading
you need to press control + c
you weren't downloading anything. ping was used to see if you were connected to the internet

If you have an issue with starting VirtualBox installation you might need to tunr on SVM mode on your CPU. Boot in bios and enable it.
Boot into BIOS and enable SVM mode otherwise it wont work.

Hanging at "loading initial ramdisk" solved by hitting "e" at the boot menu, deleting "quiet" and replacing it with "nomodeset".
why on my Linux display, all applications are white blank and do not display the application interface in general?
I guess it's a problem with 3D acceleration. If you have enabled it disable it.

If you see command line. try login with your credentials. Then run this command to launch GUI

The speed depends on your hardware. More ram, more CPU Cores matters.

Did u set the root password with ArchInstall script ? Also don't forget to create a user account with SUDO privileges.

Although I am using Manjaro Linux and I installed Arch in QEMU/KVM, I was able to successfully install Arch Linux with the XFCE desktop.
Congrats. QEMU is pretty good, But hardware based acceleration is painful.
