@@CharlesDamianoBLChey Charles I just donated to try and send you a link of one of Tommy Carruthers instructors doing JKD but can’t see it. I guess links don’t work
@@axelstone3131 thank you I’ve seen lots of Tommy Carruthers JKD videos on TH-cam. He is incredible. What a great practitioner and studied with Bruce first student, Jesse Glover, who thinks very highly of him. Thanks for thinking of me. See you Friday for the next Bruce Lee featured episode. Be well and have a great day.
Bruce Lee fans will always be fans. It’s folks like you and Bey who have continued to introduce his legacy to whole new generations of fans that were not even born during his time. Thank you for your continued dedication and hard work !
Grant, thank you so much and a pleasure meeting. You appreciate the kind words. Thanks for commenting and subscribing to the channel. Appreciate your support. Glad you enjoyed the show by the way how and when were you first introduced to Bruce Lee? Have a great week and be well, my friend.
I feel immensely happy to hear your interview with Master Bey Logen. Living legend Bey legibly narrated the astounding talents of Bruce Lee. No doubt Bruce Lee will definitely be remembered and praised even after five hundred years. 👍
Thi glad to hear you feel that way Bay is an incredible person in true Bruce Lee historian what an interview! Part two and part three is even better with more great information coming your way. Glad you enjoyed. Have a great weekend and see you Tuesday for my next Bruce Lee short be well my friend
Bruce Lee didn't just entertain you like other celebrities...he made you feel like you had to get up and DO something about what you just saw. Even though he died long before I was born it always motivates me as if I've been given some homework every time I watch his films-- to stop sitting on my ass and train ASAP! Now that's great work by a great artist!
Ernesto, thank you for sharing those great thoughts Bruce Lee continues to be an inspiration to us all. Continued enjoyment on the channel my friend and be well.
Ok... ok... I like this guy. I've never claimed to be the ultimate judge of anyone. But for myself, I encounter a lot of posers trying to ride coattails, who didn't do the work but are good at reciting things, and I could go on. My filter is always ON. Bey comes off genuine, has an authentic interest, completely in control of his thoughts, and he did the work. I love authenticity. Well done to the both of you. I'm glad I got to know him through your interview. About something mentioned here in the discussion. .. Jerry had told me that Bruce had a presence. He said when Bruce walked into a room, everyone looked at him. He had recalled attending parties with Bruce, and he said that when they walked in, everyone stopped to look at BL. He said bruce could fill the entire room.
Eric brother so glad to hear! Thank you! Bey Logan is a True Bruce Lee Historian! Been living the lifestyle, moved to HK, producer, director, author, martial artist, Bruce Lee enthusiast etc! Glad his Authenticity shined thru! I have been trying to set up this interview for years now and he finally came to visit NY! Glad you enjoyed the show and see you Tuesday for my new Bruce Lee short and Friday for part 2 interview with Bruce Lee Historian Bey Logan! Have a great weekend! Be well! 👍👍🙏🙏
@CharlesDamianoBLC I absolutely loved it. I can tell he's not just someone who recalls historic facts and then parades about it. There's definitely more to him. This doesn't have to mean anything to anyone else, but he has my respect. He did the work, and he obviously does for the love of it. I'll be there Friday morning.
@@EricCarrJeetKunedo you read people well! Much respect to you as well brother! Keep up the good work! Have a great weekend and see you Friday for part 2!
Not only is he vastly knowledgeable about Bruce, but also a great communicator as he is able to recount stories with such flare and enthusiasm. I met him a couple of times in the late 1980s when he was editor of Combat magazine, and he really promoted Bruce as often as he could. It will be really nice to hear what he has to say, especially with all the new info about Bruce.😁👍🐉

Very nice, Charles, you got to interview (in person!) the one & only Bey Logan! When I hear Bey's name I immediately think of his awesome, still unequaled audio commentary tracks on the Hong Kong Legends (RIP) dvds from 25 years ago or so & his excellent book Hong Kong Action Cinema from the mid 90s. Bey has been an excellent source of insider information about the Hong Kong film industry, including Bruce & his movies, for, what, 30 years now?! And we owe him our gratitude for having found the Game Of Death dailies, too. Speaking of GOD out-takes, I believe Bey's also the guy who shared the brief bits of GOD '78 dailies on his TH-cam channel (ReelEast?) that eventually made their way onto Arrow's Bruce Lee At Golden Harvest blu-ray set ... if you get the chance could you ask him if there's more of that than the minute or so that we've seen? I'd love to see dailies from GOD's locker room fight! Regardless, great interview, you're asking some good questions (I didn't know the battle cries in FOF were actually Bruce's own!).
Bruce, JJ 66. Thanks for commenting and yes Bey Logan is a true Bruce Lee historian and Marshall arts cinema legend I loved his Hong Kong legends DVDs back in the day when he did all the commentary and his book. The information and facts he shares are simply amazing. Glad you enjoyed the show and part two is even better than part one and we cover a lot more in-depth questions on all the Bruce Lee films you will be amazed, so stay tuned. Have a wonderful weekend And be well brother
Thanks for sharing. I first came across Bruce Lee (李小龙) the legend via Bruce Li (何宗道) who was very popular acting as Bruce Lee in the 1980s. Great to see Bey Logan on your show. If I am not mistaken, he used to (or was significantly involved in) a shop in London Chinatown called "Made in Hong Kong" in the 1990s. Used to go their back in the day to buy Chow Yun-Fat (周润发) and Lau Tak-Wah (刘德华) movies on VHS tapes (I think just before the movies startes printing on VCD and Discs. Interesting memories. Good job Bey with the acting in Infernal Affairs Part II (无间道2) - that's the only movie I saw Bey Logan in..

Going off at somewhat of a tangent - Jackie Chan was quoted years ago, as saying ' Everybody in Hong Kong knows what really happened' with regard to the circumstances surrounding Bruce Lees' death. Surely he will spill the beans about what he knows before he, himself passes, as he's pretty old himself now - I mean, what has he got to lose ? There must be others who also know the actual truth behind Bruces' untimely demise, given the population density of Hong Kong.
James totally agree I feel Bruce Lee’s death will always remain a mystery unless someone comes forward and knows the exact truth. We’ll have to wait and see. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. There was a Picture House In our town, (Now Weatherspoons), It was a Private cinema, therefor It had to close on a Wednesday. And like us, the Manager was a Kung Fu Nut. He would order all of the new films coming from Hong Kong. Even all the ones that were Banned In the UK. I saw Five Fingers Of Death, One armed boxer, The Tournament, things like that, These were all Uncut Workprints with time clocks at the top. There were a few films that had a Old Man, and a Young Guy in them, Never been able to find them. There was one, with a Guy all In white, with a Huge white Fan, that He would fight with. There was one that had a guy that had a Saw on the end of chain, that would cut heads off when thrown. And one were a guy gouges out this other guys eyes, and you get a shot of them In His fingers. Wish I had wrote the titles down back then. As of the Bruce ones. There were many cuts even from ETD. Hello Charles please do a interview with David Tadman the Bruce Lee historian he have in collection footage from game of death unseen from Bruce Lee house 1972 practice with Dan Inosanto and wu ngan never released
Stephen, that is wonderful if you ever come across that video I would love to see that let me know it certainly did come out in the early 70s cause you’re not the first that said you saw it back in the day. Hopefully we all get to see that once again, thanks for commenting and subscribing to the channel. Glad you enjoyed the show and have a wonderful weekend. Be well, my friend.
Jack wow amazing! I ordered his hard bound book from Amazon the other day. It hasn’t arrived yet but looking forward to reading it. Great interview, thanks for that! Please could you ask Bey Logan what he thinks of Bruce Lee’s cocaine use and whether he thinks that contributed to his death? Also, does he know if Bruce Lee ever did any audio dubbing for Game of Death? There was a trailer released in early 1973 (before Bruce passed away) which I think is used in the documentary “The Man and The Legend” also from 1973. There is a completely different audio to any other version in this documentary. I think this could be taken from the so called 73’ Game of Death trailer which would surely have used Bruce Lee’s real cat calls in it? Thanks very much!
Chris, thank you so much and so happy to hear you enjoyed the interview much more to come with Bay in part two and in part three.

@CharlesDamianoBLC I absolutely loved it. I can tell he's not just someone who recalls historic facts and then parades about it. There's definitely more to him.
Great video. Bruce lee got me to train. In chinese martial arts. In 1973 because of fists of fury. After seeing him. move I had to find a kung fu school in chicago china town at first i was turned down by a few masters. But i heard one master was opening up a school in chinatown that was very.famous master i was.so lucky i learned from Grand Master wai lun chois a bare knuckle champion of Singapore. In 1971 in .Master chois trained in hong kong. .tibetan lama kung fu liu ho ba fa. He is Guru Danny inosantos teacher when ever he did seminars. In chicago his book is called real gold does not fear the fire. Is a great book and script. For a movie .Grand master chois. Was in hong kong 1960s 1973 he still alive in chicago still great shape. Has done interviews. Before .

@@CharlesDamianoBLC I was maybe 12, 13 at the time. I lived near Prospect Park. Anyway, yeah it was one of those scenes you just never forget. I think I just sat there stunned. Maybe everyone was. Great memories for all his movies. People laughing and cheering. Brief unifying moments for humanity.

Master Bey🙏🏼
That he is! And a great person!
Thanks for chiming in and glad you enjoyed the video. See you tomorrow for my new Bruce Lee short enjoy and have a great week.

In the party scene where Roper Is talking to Williams, and he says "Better look out for the Referee" and the Williams open a bucket of food, Then rocks back shaking his head. This Is because the tub Is full of Eyes (Monkeys Probably), And when Bruce knocking out the guards, It shows only two. But there were four. They have found the bit with him coming into his room. And putting on the jumpsuit before going out. The Saw scene was defiantly In The Big Boss, It was shot from behind. It was over In a flash. And they cut the One Inch Punch to the head of guy at the pool at the big house. Part 2 Is gonna be great.
The boogie 29. Thank you so much for sharing that story. That is incredible. You saw all the classics of that era amazing those were some great films back in the day and still are today. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Glad you enjoyed the episode and see you next Friday for part two more excitement coming your way. by the way, what’s your name and where do you live? Great interview, thanks for that! Please could you ask Bey Logan what he thinks of Bruce Lee’s cocaine use and whether he thinks that contributed to his death?
Also, does he know if Bruce Lee ever did any audio dubbing for Game of Death? There was a trailer released in early 1973 (before Bruce passed away) which I think is used in the documentary “The Man and The Legend” also from
1973. There is a completely different audio to any other version in this documentary. I think this could be taken from the so called 73’ Game of Death trailer which would surely have used Bruce Lee’s real cat calls in it? Thanks very much!
