Excellent Stripey. We talk about the Green Hornet non appearance on DVD or Blu in the next issue of DVDvision, which is a Bruce Lee special, and we do a double page spread on the series. Thank you for this informative video, I must say I regret not being able to see the show where apparently Bruce is sitting and demonstrating alongside Chuck Norris and Bob Wall. ‘The Green Hornet’ needs the ’Batman’ treatment which looks amazing on Blu-ray. Strange to watch the three episodes of ‘Longstreet’ he filmed after ‘The Big Boss’ You see Bruce do next to nothing. He does have a couple of funny lines and executes a few kicks. I’ve heard Bruce got paid less than the stuntmen on ‘The Green Hornet’ what is a total disgrace. But he held out for his true worth for those episodes of ‘Longstreet’ Good on you Bruce. Who knows what shelved / lost footage will appear this year. Hi Stripey, very informative good sir, as per usual. Regarding Green Hornet, my understanding is that the Green Hornet remains unavailable for home video because of licensing issues. 20th Century-Fox has always had the broadcast rights, so the series can be shown today on broadcast and cable television. Bruce Lee could have guested in a episode of the ITC series Danger Man Koroshi and Shinda Shima as he was a British Passport holder (as a Hong Kong resident) so no trouble with the UK Department of Employment and the Home Office
A little trivia: that was Gene LeBell Bruce Lee was manhandling in the Ironsides TV scene. So he did that after he did the brief stunt scene with Bruce in the Green Hornet.
The Doziers(daughter and grandchildren),of late executive producer William Dozier, who represent his "Greenway Productions",were extremely well paid for the LEGAL release of the "Batman" 1966-1968 TV series to DVD,Blu-ray,and Amazon Prime Streaming,on November 11,2014,so you would think the cousin/brother TV series,"The Green Hornet" would be a no brainer for a LEGAL release.ALL other entities, parties, estates, have signed off on it and want an OFFICIAL release, but as we know, nothing so far,and out of all the Doziers still have not given a legitimate ok clearance on,"The Green Hornet" remains their most lucrative property.Go figure, it's very frustrating!!!!!!!!......
Hi, The closest I could come up with from My Vault. Is Dagwood and Blondie (1957 TV series) 12 episodes on DVD. I put together a DVD of all the TV and None Kung Fu movies that Bruce was In, some years ago. Like, Here comes the brides, Ironside, Marlow, and others. Brandon makes an Unaccredited Cameo In Kung Fu, getting off the Stagecoach, can't remember the episode of hand. All good stuff. I think The Green Hornet and Blondie would have to do Contractual reasons for not being available on DVD or Blue Ray. I have the whole lot on DVD from the TV from Years ago. And It's about as DVD quality as You can get.

As to why some of the footage is considered lost? My suspicion is that only a few people in the world are in a position to decide to look for such material or not. These people are either too busy or just not interested to look. It will probably take the retirement of such people and the chance employment of motivated individuals for something to be done.

The 1960s Blondie is like gold dust. Most of Bruce's TV stuff is here on YT,
Cheers bud. 👍
@@StripeyR Hi Mate. In other regions It was called The Bumsteads Are Back. Maybe a TV station In the world who received a copy, Got It under that Title. Shows were sent out all over the world In different titles.
Excellent (sorry I'm so wordy)
You would've thought the Green Hornet TV series would've been released on dvd or blu ray years ago when the god awful rebooted movie version came out.
Hopefully one day, it will be released.
Arrow video should do bruce Lees the green hornet and his other tv appearances on blu ray a limited editions that would be a treat for old and new fans
That would be amazing, alas I think the rights to the Green Hornet TV series is tied up in red tape. Hopefully one, mate 👍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Will you do a video specifically on the Green Hornet - Batman crossover?
At some point, fella. i have a few in the pipeline, but that would make an interesting topic. cheers 👍
I was lucky because I saw The Blonde. It's so Sad, most of his TV shows were lost or erased.
Wow, one of the lucky ones to have seen the Blondie episode. It is sad but you never know, they may turn up someday. cheers pal 👍
Great video.have you ever done a video the difference between the arrow boxset and the individual releases what was on discs .i get confused what they cut on single releases
Thank you. No I haven't yet. I think the stand alone releases are the same as the boxset, mate. 👍
@@StripeyR that what needed know i like the docs behind the man so be picking them.up .what about game of death does that have altertive tower seen sorry be pain
BRILLIANT
Hey stripey, where do you get all those cool BL t-shirts?
It's an old one, mate. i can't remember where I picked this one up 👍
Though it’s a fans wishful thinking. I wish Bruce Lee was cast as an Enterprise Crewmember in Star Trek and for two appearances.
somedays all these lost footages would be find it, but how, it depends on the people, you just have to look like archaeologists do
What about that commercial he did playing ping pong with the nunchucks😂
😂😅 How could I forget that? 😉
Surely someone has a copy of blondie somewhere🙏
The guy shown on Blondie was not Bruce Lee, just someone looks like him.
As to why some of the footage is considered lost? My suspicion is that only a few people in the world are in a position to decide to look for such material or not. These people are either too busy or just not interested to look. It will probably take the retirement of such people and the chance employment of motivated individuals for something to be done.
I think your probably right on this. In the UK it took James Ferman (head of the BBFC) to retire, to get the Bruce Lee films released uncut. 👍
👍🏿
There's a channel on TH-cam called Michael Jackson it's all about Bruce lee. Check it out. There's one new 2023 interview with Dan Inosanto who gets emotional recalling Bruce (1080p)
I saw that, mate 👍
