I would not buy the non cruelty free and non fragrance free Bobbi Brown, so I am excited to try the dupe specifically because it is opposite in those areas!! Yeah!!
I adore face base but holy cow it’s so expensive! I stock up during Black Friday sales for the entire year but am always on the hunt for an ingredient dupe. I prefer nicinamide and no essential oils so I’m super excited. Thanks for another amazing find!! Whoot whoot!!

I bought the BB during a sale in December. I think it smells like lemon Pledge which is a furniture polish. 😁 Since the Revolution is cruelty free and unscented, I will definitely give it a try. Thanks Gemma! 😊❤️

Thank goodness there is an alternative to the BB. My jar just sits there because of the scent. It is just so overwhelming otherwise I would use it more.

Never tried the Bobbi Brown because the price tag makes my eyes water. I did biy the Aldi version whsn they had it as a Special Buy and I really like it. May have to try the Revolution version when I've used up the Aldi one.

Oh how I love my Bobby Brown Face Base and I get orange and lemon. I LOL when you likened it to bug spray!!! It just seems refreshing to me. However, I would be willing to try the Revolution Super Base.. I just bought the 50mil of The BB so I may just need to try them at the same time. Thanks for the dupe Jemma!!

I am working my way through a large 100ml pot of BB face base that I got in sale but will definitely try the Revolution product as it looks good and not much money wasted if I don’t like it. I think I would miss the fragrance though as I love the lemony one of the BB, it’s so refreshing and cooling on the face and the scent just adds to the experience. Thanks for the review Gemma🥰💜
This looks interesting. The fact that it’s fragrance free has to be a big plus as dermatologists recommend fragrance free products on the skin. I might give it a try when I’m finished my current moisturiser the Embryolisse fragrance free version. It’s a pity it’s not a 50ml jar😊
I wouldn't be without the Bobbi Brown product. I always shop in the sales for the whole year and stock up. I also like it because its a luxury product and makes me feel I am spoiling myself sometimes!

Oooh. The Bobbi brown face base is so expensive but I’ve had a few minis and it does feel luxurious.
Now if only I could find a dupe for Glossier rich priming moisturizer- my favourite daytime moisturizer of all time ❤
I think I still prefer Dr Jart Ceramidin for bedtime, but the glossier rich just feels like a million bucks on the skin. I love it so much.. and I’m super picky about facial moisturizer.
Unfortunately I'm very sensitive to fragrance so I never tried the BB exactly for this reason (price too but more the fragrance thing). I will try the revolution one if is fragrance free! thanks for the dupe!
I don’t use the BB product anymore but used to LOVE the scent, which smelled like a spa to me. Not like bug spray at all 🤔

I really like the BB Vit Enriched Face Base, EXCEPT for the fragrance, which really bothers me. Can't stand smelling it for as long as it lingers and my skin doesn't like it. Now I want to try the Revolution.

I tried face base over 20 years ago, huge break out, was in my 30s. Not sure I want to test again. And I was almost exclusively BB make up then. Base was returned!

Ugh, I really don't like the BB one purely because of the fragrance. I've used mine twice and on each time I've suffered with a migraine. Of course, this could be just a coincidence, nonetheless, I don't like the fragrance.
So, it seems, the Revolution "dupe" is perfect for me 😊

Wondering if you could do a video on concealing flaws. You have been so good at allowing us to see you bare face (i dont think i would do it) and then look flawlessly beautiful. How do you do it? @@lisapierce525 that's a good question. I'm never sure of I'm supposed to put spf over or under moisturiser. I also don't know with primer.
@@lesleythornton1811 I went back & watched the video again. Gemma is using it as a primer, which would be on top of spf. You can also use it under spf as your regular moisturizer. SPF is always the last step in am skincare. Hope this helps!

I bought the Aldi dupe of the BB Face Base a few months ago, and I think it's even more of a dupe than the Revolution. The packaging is almost identical and the geranium fragrance is also the same. It's brilliant, and even better priced than the Revolution. I stocked up. £50 for a pot of BB is expensive. Their Lacura dupes are very impressive.
Is the Lacura one a closer dupe than the Primark one, do you know..? I tried the Primark one but unfortunately, it made my face and neck very itchy :(
Interesting. I’ve used some toners in the past. My ? is not similarities of packaging and smell but ingredients. Have you compared, maybe using the Aldi and Bobbie Brown websites or something? I would love to know. ✌🏼
@@JJvisit I'm not sure. I saw that Primark did one also, but I never tried it. The Aldi one was fine on my skin, but my skin isn't very sensitive, so I couldn't say what it would be like on someone with perhaps more sensitive skin.
Hi Gemma, I know this question doesn't relate to this video but I am desperate for your advice!!! What would you recommend as an undereye colour corrector please? I don't have undereye bags but I do have a 'trough' that appears purple-ish/blue .. I have tried the CT peach corrector but I find it too inflexible/thick and it settles into the wrinkles in the 'trough' .. I also find it difficult to get any concealer to work with it (including her own!). I recently tried a technique that you demonstrated (I just cannot remember which video it was in!!) where you put the colour corrector on before any make-up, then apply concealer over it, follow with foundation and another light dab of concealer .. this has worked well to a certain extent but I still feel that it is the colour corrector that is not working for me. Any recommendations gratefully received. Thank you. PS I do hydrate my undereyes beforehand and my preferred method of application is my ring-finger .. and I am v light handed, preferring to build up layers rather than apply a larger amount to blend out!! Sorry for the long-winded question!!! xx

One question. Does this go over or under SPF? It’s a moisturizer so it should go under but it’a a primer so really should go over the SPF. I’ve used it both ways.

The latest scientific evidence suggests that Bobbi brown isn’t tested on animals, they test it now on humans. They also don’t ask other countries to do animal testing on their behalf. (Except when required by law), not quite sure what that means!
Wow! Which sunscreen do you think would work best with this? I have a pilling problem sometimes with the LaRoche-Posay Toleraine Double Repair UV SPF Moisturizer under my makeup.
The Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Sunscreen works beautifully under or over this xxx

The BB lasts a LONG time, so I’m staying with the BB that I know works.
It is such a wonderful product and you are correct. It is so long lasting and keeps my face so soft under my Dior Matte foundation! I love the smell as well.

It’s a moisturiser with priming properties. It would replace a moisturiser and hydrating primer. Still need separate SPF
It's a cult classic amongst makeup artists..used on clients to prep the skin for makeup application, it moisturizes and primes...you can use it before SPF as a moisturizer...i don't find it to be a specific makeup primer.
So I am confused. Do you use this as a primer after all of your skin care or as the final step (moisturizer) in your skin care?
I would use it as a primer over sunscreen, but it can be used either way x
I came back after trying the Super base , and it doesn’t absorb to my skin, it moves all the sunscreen out when I apply it. Strange
Another thing to add to the wishlist! Just wondered if you know is it ok to keep my necklace on while using the current body neck and dec thing? I looked on the site and googled and can't find an answer anywhere. I have really sore hands so putting on and taking off the necklace is a pain. TY xx
Yes it's fine, just try and lift it over the top so you get the full benefit of the device xxx

I rather spend the money and get it when it’s on sale around holidays . Buy one get one . They may have some same ingredients but doesn’t mean ingredients are of the same grade . I have relied on face base for many many years and it lasts me all year . Make revolution I believe is made in China I maybe wrong but it’s like the cheap way of copying a product to me . I know you don’t use dupe lightly but I just hate it when someone uses it freely I would waste my money and it wouldn’t be anything like it at all. Someone just said color pop pretty fresh foundation was a dupe for Georgio Armani NO WAY . Thanks for your view thought hope Mum is doing well
