      The most egregious one is pokemon. Japan has good copyright laws with strict and clear guidelines. Cover has to request perms because they’re a large legal entity profiting off other’s works. Elden Ring is also like the second, maybe third, easiest FromSoft game. I understand you're joking, but aside from Malenia, the game's bosses are jokes. You can get absurdly powerful in it in ways you couldn't in previous games. Even outside of using cheese builds.

      @@SaveMeXenu This is largely because it's open world, allowing players to easily level up before progressing into areas they should be having difficulty with. Overleveling isn't exclusive to Elden Ring, but it is easier to just explore other areas and get a bunch of levels in Elden Ring than in other FromSoft games. If you farm levels in Dark Souls, you'd have an easy time as well. Ornstein & Smough is trivialized if you're at lvl 80 or higher. In terms of actual difficulty, not artificial difficulty through levels, Elden Ring is far from the easiest. Most bosses are fast and responsive, and they hit pretty hard for their intended level.

      The reasoning for that is most likely traction and attention. If you're letting a streamer with a large following play the game, and you're spending time and resources to let them play, you're gonna want them to play the game on the day it'll get the most attention. It's basically just "you can't play [game] Saturday, because everyone is going to be watching [other game], and it'll do nothing for [game]. It would also explain why holo members tend to play smaller, indie games more often since they generally wouldn't care as much.

    • @totally_not_a_bot
      @totally_not_a_bot 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@Grumpy1174Another commenter explained it well. "Cover Corp has hundreds of sniper scopes pointed at them at all times."
      The restrictions are to prevent the talents from getting copyright striked into oblivion. When Hololive was small, it wasn't a problem since small fish feed few mouths. Now, Cover Corp is worth millions. If they don't bed over backwards for the company, they get sued hard and the talent gets hurt in the crossfire.

      I imagine that it really depends on the game. Some games might have indefinite company-wide perms, other games might need to be requested. In the end, it's up to the managers to contact the companies, which would take some load off from the streamers.

    Ahh, the mortal enemy of fun and efficiency: Bureaucracy
    But fr, it sucks that you can't do something you enjoy at your own pace because of the weird red tape surrounding it
    I can understand needing to schedule these things in advance so that viewers know what's coming up and know when to tune in if they want to watch, but at the same time it does feel crappy that if you want to play said game on stream, you can't just immediately go ahead and play it, you have to wait for the higher ups to approve it, and by that time your personal want to play it may have gone away by that time.
    Bureacracy sucks because in this case, it requires a lot of diligence and forethought to make sure you can just keep the content you want to produce going with as few hiccups as possible.
    I'm kinda the same way, when it comes to events outside of my regular workschedule that are still for work (company meetings and one-on-ones with my manager) I suck at remembering them so I have to make sure I give myself a safety net to remind myself that they exist or I'll fully miss them

Could this also be the reason why Hololive start arcs for all its livers?
