Gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us: "Take a trained monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car." Thirty years later Sebastian told us: "I had to start my car like a computer. It's very complicated." And Nico Rosbeg said, err, he pressed during the race, I don't remember what race, the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you to both. Is formula 1 driving today too complicated with 20 and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future, concerning technical program, errrm, during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more comunication with your engineers.
EDIT: I'm bored in a study period with no work to do so yeah...

The reason it’s funny is the length of the question, not his accent. F1 is a global sport and many drivers themselves have thick accents (Fernando, Grosjean etc.) they definitely weren’t making fun of his accent. Go look for reasons to be upset somewhere else.

Its funny because people publicly speaking english this badly , in front of many people in the room and many more in front of the TV is unexpected, which makes it fit into the definition of a pointe (or, the dumbed down english version "punch line"). No matter if intended. That is, factually, why it is funny.

@@spudbencer7179 Nah, that's not funny, and the person who uploaded the video didn't think that was somehow funny either. It is totally not unexpected to have a guy speak with an accent, its rather common if you ask me. And it wasn't that he was speaking "bad" per se, but rather that it took him half an eternity bc he went on to quote Niki, Vettel, and Nico, to then continue to ask like 5 questions.
If he had just asked his questions without the quotes no one would have bat an eye.
When Ocon said they were "hardly working" instead of e.g. "working very hard", no one showed any kind of reaction. And when Vettel, Grosjean, or any of the other drivers are speaking in a rather weird way, or just grammatically wrong, no one starts to laugh either. No one cares about stuff like that, the funny part is that no one asks questions this long.
Well and that Walter Koster always does that

Vettel laughed because it was phrased in a funny way and then also gave him a fair answer. That's the way to do it.
I think if you are trying to be mean to the reporter, obviously that's a bad thing but, also you have to be able to have a laugh. A balance is the healthy option here.

It was a great question and i think people forget that the year after this F1 introduced new rules about driver coaching/telling them how to drive the car. The rules turned out to be a silly idea but this reporter asked a very relevant question which shortly afterwards became a hot topic.

Gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘a contract is a handshake and agreement to drive the car’ Thirty years later, Fernando Alonso told us ‘contracts have thousands of clauses, it’s very complicated.’ And Oscar Piastri said that during the offseason - I don’t remember what offseason - he got the contracts confused.
Question for you both: is Formula One contracts today too complicated with twenty and more lawyers working on them, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the offseason contracts? Less clauses, more? Or less and more communication with your agents and lawyers?

First time I´m looking at: Rosberg - no response at all, until the end
Second time I´m looking at Hamilton - somewhat reaction once Hulkenberg talks to him
Third time I´m looking at Hulkenberg - Looking for Vettels reaction and talking to Hamilton
Fourth time I´m looking at Button and Alonso - Joking around
Fifth time I´m looking at Vettel, who within 2 seconds understands this question will be funny
