My wife is gone for years every time I see the scene I get my hysterics it’s an excellent movie with an excellent ending and I just have a very hard time with it at the end but I keep watching it so I can remember my lid Linda
I guess it never registered just how plain he was making his intentions here. “How about some coffee, or drinks, or dinner, or a movie…for as long as we both shall live…” He’s basically telling her he wants to marry her. Like another poster said, it’s the best way someone has ever said “I love you” without saying it. It’s brilliant. If you can look past how dated the Web 1.0 stuff is and this pre-9/11 NYC, it really might be the second or third best romantic comedy ever. I mean, the way Meg Ryan touches herself when Tom Hanks puts his hand on her shoulder-it’s so real, so lived in. The way she’s on the verge of tears without ever actually crying. She is the absolute best. And very few actors ever had this kind of chemistry.
Every time I watch the end of this film, it brings me to tears because I think of my loving wife Linda, who is gone now almost 5 years. I don’t know why, but I cry a lot when I see the end of this film signed Jack.
Thank you so much for your reply to me. We were married 53 years and I miss it today’s much as I missed her five years ago thank you again for your kind thoughts and wishes.
Different countries have different rules. Note the arabic subtitles. I'm thinking that the rating board in this arabic country would give it an "adults only" rating because of kissing on screen, so they cut out the last kiss to allow kids and teenagers to watch it too.
As I have contributed before, my wife is gone now almost 5 years every time I watch the end of this movie I get into my hysterics great movie phenomenal ending and there are many great movies like this anymore. Take it from me. My dad was a projectionist I’ve seen I went to the movies 52 weekends a year in Brooklyn never missed a movie. My mother became the Candy stand lady. It was a great life. However, this end of this movie to me is over the top. It’s right up there with the singings scene in Casablanca and that’s all I could say I miss my Linda terribly but when I see this ending of this movie, it reminds me a lot of her somewhere. I know she is looking down on me the children of the grandchildren and one day I will see her again. God bless America signed Jack.
