- In this program I’ll show how to create a mood picture by adding a narrative to an image.
Using nothing more than an old decaying rose, a shallow tray of water, and a bit of ingenuity I demonstrate my approach to fine art photography.
Follow simple guidelines for studio lighting techniques with Profoto flash or speedlights.
By using Capture one tethering you can see the results straight away from my Canon full frame camera.
From Adobe Photoshop layers to Photographic Art, every stage is detailed.
Fascinating! Thank you!

Love your videos they have improved my own photos with your wonderful way of teaching, just one question please why do you use the 24-70mm lense in preference to a 1:1 macro lense with a small stack
Regards peter
Probably a throwback to my days with film...! I do prefer to capture an image in one shot, although I do embrace the latitude digital capture and post processing can give.
Helpful tutorial, as always, thank you! Do you ever look at the Capture One exposure evaluation/histogram or just evaluate by eye?
Both!
Great tutorial once again Please keep them coming . ps bet it took longer to clean up the studio.
Most definitely!
This was a great tutorial. Thank you! I was only confused by one thing... how did you clean up the horizon line?
I cleaned up the horizon just with a brush in photoshop.
@@CameraClubLive it would have been nice to show the process of cleaning it
