    It's been 11 days since I bought first manual (M2), and this is the only video that helped me smooth out upshifts from 1-2

    So I need to press the gas before biting point for smooth gear change. Does this work when upshifting ?

  • @dannyh_fitness

    Nothing really to do with the bud but think I know why I’m over revving! I have a high clutch. When I’m about to move of I add gas first but then it’s taking me sometime to find the bite because I’m not used to a higher clutch! So I’ve added the gas but I’m not on the bite and I’ve read when you reach the bite your RPM drops a bit then so I’m pretty sure it’s that! Hopefully you understand my explanation 😂

      yeah my car is the same, sometimes I move of really slow because im holding clutch a little low, in mine I can't just bring clutch up slow either between gears have to hold on bite in-between

    I'm still struggling with this, I accelerate to move off when stopped and I'm lifting the clutch very slowly until the car moves forward. I either stall or move off very slowly

      Hold the clutch at the bite point while gently accelerating until 6/7 mph

    Driving manual: you should have a lot of knowledge, a lot of practice, you should THINK about every one shifting and keep it in mind. It is like to work as engineer or like this. It is work.
    Driving auto: Just speed up and break. That’s it.
    People asking - what to choose auto or manual? Hm let me think about it…🤔😂
    No I’m not an enemy of manual gearboxes. I even drive manual car now. But this is first manual car in more than 10 years. And my opinion in this question is pretty simple: if I have choice only about gearbox - I will always choose auto. ALWAYS! I can use manual only if u don’t have choice in current situation or if I don’t have enough money to take auto. That’s it. Just make your life easier. If you don’t know why you need manual car - you not need it.

    The car i learn in drops speed when off the gas so fast the speed doesnt match the gear change from 2nd to 3rd 🤦🏽‍♀️

    I am really struggling to change gear from second to first, always hear stopping the car , any advice you could give on how to smoothly change from 2nd to 1st gear

    • @Blank-i6h
      @Blank-i6h ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just change the gear from 1st to second or second to first easy as that 😂

      When you’re just about to fully stop, select first gear

    • @Mmshkr
      @Mmshkr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I normally change from second gear to first only when the car is too slow or when I wanna stop, but when the car is at second gear and I feel like I don’t need to go to first gear but the speed is also a bit slow for second gear then I just hold down the clutch and release it slowly while car is getting faster. So I just drive in second gear and play with the clutch. I go to first only when I need to and at that point the car should be too slow so there shouldn’t be a problem

    • @TheInkIsBlack
      @TheInkIsBlack ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the reason.
      Establish 1st gear speed which depends on the car you drive.
      A good way to do this is see how slow the car is when your in 1st gear and no gas.
      The biggest issue I've found when changing down into 1st, is people not actually finding 1st gear speed before they bring the clutch up. So they are engaging 1st gear but while going 2nd gear speed. This causes engine braking and means the car 'jolts' as the clutch comes up.

    • @jamescairns4051
      @jamescairns4051 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only time I don’t balance the clutch with first is when I’m driving up a gradient. Don’t know if it’s my car but always level out first with the clutch and second to an extent
