man, you can really tell if the weapons are made by tripwire or not. The animation for one - tripwire's OG weapons were so much better looking.
For those wondering, there are 4 reloads for most magazine fed weapons. dry and wet reload, as well as a faster reload when you pick certain perks or have achieve certain level in a perk.
Short answer:
OG KF2 animations are loved
Newer DLC weapons animations are utter shite
the new G36K was a complete disappointment for me. Complete trash reloading and modeling.
100%. say what you want about all the saber aminated guns, but the newest update was seriously just a disgrace. think we owe an apology to the FAMAS.
The OG weapons had a lot more effort put into them, some were even Mocapped. If you want to know what the animator does now, they animate for Ground Branch

G36C and Famas just look like newbie handkeyed animation
those animations are horrible even Soldner has better animations than that.

killing floor 2 has been on life support for the past 2 years, even longer. the devs are all busy with other stuff, hopefully a new rising storm or killing floor 3

The contrast between the original animators work and the new animators work (e.g Famas or G36) is insane. The original animations are masterfully crafted with smoothness and so much attention to detail and the new ones are straight up shit i would now even download for a Fallout New Vegas mod. How comes that a multi million company hires such bad animators is beyond my mind. Almost every amateur free lancer animator could have come out with better animations. Shame, that's the only reason i am not using those guns ingame. It ruins the immersion.
Everyone was simping to COD Modern Warfare 2019 due to their attention to detail and reload animation on the weapons, meanwhile, KF2 allready had that 3 or 4 years before MW 2019.
It's a shame that new weapons don't have a nice animation anymore, most likely the game is run by a skeleton crew at this point.
actually MW is more detailed because the animations are made by hands, not mo-capped.
These animations are nowhere near as good as MW2010 tho

One game made raised the industry standard for animations and is still trying to be replicated by many animators til this day
One game the developer jerked their own dicks about how their animations were in 200 fps and how great they were, while reusing the same back to idle firing animation on every weapon in the game

If you think the animations are bad, wait till you use it, the shots are not centered to the red dot sight.
COH3 has better animations. And maybe they should've worked on something else not making boxes.
It's funny how this game done the whole attention to gun details and the iconic multiple reload animations way before years until COD MW 2019 popularized it and made a big tread out of it so other FPS follows the similar trend.
If anything this game deserves that credit and it's a damn shame how the new guns straight up lost the quality.

The Famas Masterkey is my favourite weapon, it reminds me of the m1a1 pulse rifle from Alien.

Equiping not but the reload button does have inspecting the gun like checking magazine, pull back charge handle or spinning (pistol and melee)
@@Rider-yb3sd randomly, the characters will also do an animation with weapons when not in use (usually round start)

Some animations like the g36 and the famas seem way out of place what’s up with that?
The original animator, RedTide81, has left Tripwire back in 2021, now currently working for Blackfoot Studios, which make GROUND BRANCH.
Addin on, a lot of the older animations where nicely animated or mocaped. Newer animations are just your mid run of the mill cheap reload animations

@@madmonty4761 the game about killing and shooting things. Reload animations "canceling" on higher levels of play, anyway. DLC weapons sharing for the all players in server. HRG weapons are free for all players.

It is and it has a fov slider for console and it has a lot of gore animations for the zeds that u kill and u can have a variety of weapons that u can use and u can play the game with a lot of people and u can use all sorts of load outs that let u burn all the zeds or a bomber load out and u can kill bosses it’s very fun

This is a classic example of console game with PC as a afterthought, as on xbox the game is technically flawless
@@kylekomicbro1836 That's just wrong kf2 was developed for pc but was just ported to consoles. KF was and still is mainly a pc thing kf1 is and kf2 was for a while pc exclusive. kf2 had early access on pc.

I've never felt in love with the guns as i did in kf2, too bad devs are lately making those lazy hrg guns instead of focusing on new ones
People are too f*cking dumd to realize, that hrg guns also gives new gameplay, like dlc weapons, but saves a lot of time on modeling and animation (by reusing/editing old ones), so that weapons can be released more often and on time. New gameplay = variety, which is more important than textures and recharge animations, which 80% of players "cancesl" anyway
Well, the new animator is shit tier so...

Guys, does anyone have problem with this game after installing updates (in Steam or Epic Games)? It just crushes after loading the main menu, when I press any option in the menu above ("Skills",etc) or when I press "start the game". First, it happened with Steam version, then I installed it from Epic Games Store (and it was fine until the latest Zombie update patch). WTF??

I've been away from KF2 for about a year and a half now and, genuinely, I can't BELIEVE the FAMAS and G36C made it past testing. The animations are seriously some of the worst I've seen such a big-name game.

Something that always bothered me, is that the barrels of every gun, wiggles when you shoot.
Gun barrels actually do wobble a little irl depending on the gun, it's just something you only notice in slow-motion footage. KF2 is a bit exaggerated with the wobble but it's a neat detail

They sadly updated this game to oblivion. Most guns now are just shitty reskins of older weapons and the new weapon animations are absolute garbage. Can't believe they let that shit pass...
