Jana Wibawa: Court quashes Muhyiddin's 4 abuse of power charges

- Former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been discharged and acquitted on all four charges of abuse of power in the Jana Wibawa case.
High Court judge Datuk Muhammad Jamil Hussin struck out the lawsuit, ruling that all four charges were defective and in bad faith.
Muhyiddin was previously charged on four counts of using his position as the Prime Minister and Bersatu president to ask for a RM200 million bribe from Bukhary Equity Sdn Bhd.

Mahiaddin Yassin, was released from court’s case on corruption. Now he is able to stand tall. But don’t forget those committed crimes , are subjected in prison, fines, or worse still assets acquired from frauds are subjected in court for confiscation.
No need to act as if you were persecuted. You were not found innocent. You were acqitted bevause of inapt drafting of charges. You cant hoodwink all of us. The decision in no way reflects your innocence

The decision of the kuala lumpur High Court of Criminal division delivered today do not come as a surprise. The application filed by the Defence centred on defective charge for want of non disclosure of any criminal offence pertains to any corrupt practice. Be that as it may, the decision to acquit the ex prime minister was based on technical grounds without any consideration on the merits of each individual criminal charge proferred by the prosecution. Therefore, this is not the end of the road for him. The charge can still be framed against him before another High Court judge or in the alternative it would possibly be overturn on appeal. So please calm down as its to early to celebrate. We don't want to see corrupt politicians to Scott free on mere technicalities as compared to an ordinary individual who don't normally enjoy the nicities of rule of law. Perhaps this is a fit case for the AG chambers to take up this matter on appeal. After all is somewhat unacceptable to rule the charges were defective despite through investigations by the Anti Corruption Agency on the subject matter.
