Q&A session with PM after second Cabinet meeting

- During the Q&A session with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad after the second Cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday, issues raised included the SST rate, the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and plans to develop Middle Rocks.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo also announced that RTM will be airing World Cup matches for free.

And to all Journalists please don’t ask repetitive questions over and over again. Do some homework on the issue at hand before questioning anyone. I feel you guys are so selfish sometimes, stop 📸flashing, furthermore the sound is really annoying and bad for TUN’s eyes sight. The media etiquette is bad during the press conference nowadays. Ask "short questions" and just go straight to the point, why beat around the bush? Lastly, kindly consider my comments. Regards

The journalist shld know how to asks question professionally via intelligent way n with respect. Can see difference btw foreign journalist asking with ..sir...while local just asks throwing questions with no politness in language

Yes some of the reporters are not even language efficient. I wonder how did they get their job to be speaking so poorly.
Enforcement is of great importance. In the past, during his time as PM then, Dr. M threatened to catch those who raised prices or hoard to increase prices. It worked. I remember a coffee shop owner who raised his price of a cuppa of tea to RM1.80 and then quickly reduced it back to the original RM1.20 when Dr.M threatened to take action in a time of opportunistic price increases.

The sound quality is terrible, this is very unprofessional. Dr M. deserve to have a better conference than this! How hard is it to get a good mic for him and the journalist? After all, he is addressing very important matters to the nation. Isnt that enough to justify having a proper set up.
I agree the sound quality is bad especially when the journalist asks questions. The trouble is because the video cam that picks up the journalist questions is via the Public Address system in the hall. If there is no carpets on the floor and no sound absorbing materials on the walls (curtains etc), there will be plenty of echo and reverbs.

Tun, to be honest, I resented u from when I was a kid based on possibly wrong indroctrination by parents....mistakes or not, I hv no time to delve on that....we all have our believes and understanding of things....I don't blame either u nor my parents ( may both of them rest in peace) but I do acknowledge and appreaciate all u hv done putting malaysia on the world map back then with the twin towers (n of course other things) n now in year 2018 again....regardless what happens, i sincerely hope we can spread more of the muhibbah'ness among all Malaysians that we used to have among our friends of various races which I find we currently lack.........we were all cool and the gang back then...I missed the P.Ramlee days....no doubt there may be some weird scenarios where it doesnt go down well with certain quarters for whatever reasons but that is life...we malaysians are strong n we can learn to deal with it which is our strength.....we used to be the envy of other countries where they question how we malaysians can live in harmony ....i m sure some smart geniuses will retort to this statement of mine :).....but we are proud of that.... No issue abt religion n stuff. Why? Because back then we identified ourselves as Malaysians n we r proud of that and not based on our ethnicity nor religion.....I sincerely hope we can inculcate that in our society again....my friends and I would really love to see that happening again amongst the Malaysian society.....I sincerely thank you for what you have done for ge14.....please take good care of your health Tun.... you deserve yourself a good rest to gain your energy to drive us to a better Malaysia for all Malaysians.....Salute Tun
