Hey! I was Tatheil in that game! It has been a small dream to be in a gyle cast since I started playing two years ago when a friend showed me your casts. Thanks for all you do for the community. Hopefully, I can get in another soon!

Shinobu's play when he became last man standing had me glued to the screen in awe.
They called it at the start, needed to kill him off to have a chance at winning. Instead he got extra eco, and it was very difficult from there.

You see that with 2k+ players where they can shine when the team is lost. That's why you got to get em early. 2k rating comes from a players ability to execute late game and mid game.
@@BCase56 the sad thing is i would rather have a few joes than noobs and a pro i have had too many games where the pro suicided/thrown or just played badly so some are good but a rather not take the chance
I've been watching Gylecast for years and I've never seen a T2 artillery creep. It's never seemed practical, but I guess if you have the eco...eff it, go ahead and fire money from a mile away LMAO.
the only thing better than these sick plays were the players being super chill in chat. what a great game!
Good to see people bein' classy all around in this one. There were even attempts to support lower ranked teammates instead of throwing them to the wolves in order to cynically hoover up their mass.
@@loc978 TBH the fact that the bottom left player died earlier in a suicide push probably won team 2 the game. Imagine if Shinobu didn't have access to the reclaim of that base + the extra mass points, he wouldn't be able to get to support com spam nearly as fast, which would have probably won team 1 the game. Sup Com is a game where you want the kills to come all at the same time, or failing that, you focus all resources into killing the most skilled enemy player early (like having one player go first air just to stop him expanding early with a bomber, have another make tml to snipe their mass mid game, have another go t2 gunship rush and have another do a t3 harbinger rush drop against them etc (each attack vector must be via a different vector). You simply won't have the apm + experience managing a huge eco to beat out a 2300 player without setting them back majorly early game, unless you yourself are also a 2k + rated player.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you great people who play/watch this game in 2020! I only recently went back to this game since the original release and i am amazed at how it is kept alive and the community is still doing well. I played this game when i was a kid and was amazed at the scale and the slowdown towards lategame.
I am grateful i can have all these memories relived thanks to you people!

Recently got back into SupCom after a 6-7 year hiatus... I came back because I came across one of your supcom epics and guess what? Thats the same reason I started playing 7 years ago, haha. You hooked me into the game twice now Gyle!
this truly is the best RTS ever to be made.
Sup com, total annihilation, star craft, and command and conquer are the best. I have a hard time picking any o e of them.

I just discovered this channel this week and have watched some replays and this is the one that made me decide to give this game a try. Even though I don't know most of what is happening/talked about on screen it was still exciting to see how the tables turned when it became a 5 v 1!

This one was really deserving of the qualifier, EPIC. It could have gone either way until the very end, very entertaining to see.
I've watched all your casts and I think this is the best replay.
Shinobu had a couple of really close moments there were the game might have turned against him but he was up against serious odds and deserved al the breaks he got.
Hey Gyle, I recommend you stop doing the long outro to hide the length of the vid. Its likely causing your videos to be de-ranked, as people will not watch your videos through to the end. This will make the algorithm think that your videos are not appealing and thus show you to a smaller crowd.
Become a patreon supporter and the algorithmic punishments from YT google will no longer have a direct effect on Gyle's bank.
Also also: If you love gylecast, minimize the window instead of closing it.

Loving your craft is never pandering to an audience above the local radio DJ level. To be successful on YT you must transcend the model, go beyond and bring in real paying customers (not $80/month slave wages from viewership) youtube doesn't pay very well anymore, they demoneyize you for saying something silly, manipulate search results, putting warning labels on some government backed channels but not others, copyright abuse, etc etc. He's got this, don't shill for youtube shill for gylecast BABY.

@@ZWHMalokin I understand where you're coming from, but YT will punish his reach for doing this, which will make his content reach less people. Less people viewing means less people going to Patreon, as well as less reason to do this in the first place. No matter his reason for making these videos, its going to hurt him. Yeah TH-cam can fuck you over whenever they want, but that doesn't mean you should be embracing tactics that will make them come after you sooner.
Plus its 10 minutes of a static image... like there's not even content there. No commentating, no action, hell not even a neat outro cinematic like he has for the intro. Its just pointless.

Oof yeah teachers have hard jobs when it comes to getting sick. They gotta deal with so many kids. My spouse is an English teacher in rural Japan that teaches at 4 different schools, usually visiting 2-3 different ones in any given week and they get colds all the time because of it.
Love this game. Its so unique that higher tier units just serve a different niche. Low tier units still have a place all game.

Imagine this in VR and the battlefield is on top of a table.
I was looking at those poorly defended smd's for so long while he was building the yolona. Then one of them randomly got killed in an attack and he had only 1 left and I was just thinking please kill it for the love of god kill it, you'll easily break a single cybran shield. Then one of the arties on the scathis misses and kills the shield, making the smd completely unshielded for like a minute. I almost fell off my chair.

12:08 i feel that not going hard with the tracer spam was a mistake here. Most of the dps was coming from gunships, so not much point trying to dodge it, and a T2 com has way more build power than a few T1 engies.
