107: Limitations on Exclusive Rights - Fair Use:

In the show and other Addams Family media, Lurch mostly grumbles and moans. All of the Addams family members understands perfectly of what he said whenever he groans. He sometimes speaks normally but in short sentences. Here's a fun fact: Lurch's famous catch phrase is "You rang?", which is an ad-lib by Ted Cassidy (R.I.P. 😇).

Well, most of them are pretty human, but to Morticia and Grandmama are witches (e.g. In the "Addams Family" film, during a job interview, the interviewer asked Morticia what her special hobbies. She replied hexes and spells. Nobody not even the Addamses know WHAT Cousin Itt is. A giant walking hairball perhaps? And for Lurch, depends on alternative versions of the "Addams Family" media (e.g. "Addams Family" 1992 cartoon, "Addams Family Reunion"), Lurch's backstory is a bit similar to Frankenstein's Monster.

Gomez, Uncle Fester and the kids are 100% humans. Morticia and Grandmama are humans, too, but they are connected to the supernatural. Fester is born looking like...uh...Fester. Gomez and Fester are brothers but depending on different "Addams Family" media. They are not brothers on the 1964 show, Fester is Morticia's maternal great-uncle.
Lurch is based on Frankenstein's Monster, (including his backstory of having different body parts stitched together) He has strong empathetic feelings towards the Addamses who sees him like a true family member. He's one of my favorite Addams Family character. His relationship with Pugsley and Wednesday (mostly Wednesday 😉) is absolutely adorable. They see him as an older brother. ❤❤❤

As a kid, I always thought spiders are dangerous rather than scary. It's different, wouldn't get near them, but I do love them.

These actors did a great job in this show, they really make you believe they're a real family.

Ceil Constante I thought it had four? When I looked for DVD recordings of it online I saw four seasons. Either way, it’s certainly not enough! I wish they did more too. And although they are making movies now, the movies are never as good as this TV show. The Addams are one of my favorites!
They had to end it because one of the actors went to prison- if I remember correctly was either Fester’s actor or Lurch’s. Also Morticia’s actress was diagnosed with cancer. So for one of those reasons they couldn’t continue the show.

Neither of them went to prison. However, Blossom Rock (Granny Addams) suffered a stroke in 1966 shortly after season 2 had concluded. It's been mentioned that the stroke had affected her speech which prevented her from joining the cast in the 70s movie.
So, I think this is the more likely reason the show was cancelled, plus Ted Cassidy (Lurch) was said to not have liked how people were calling him by that name rather than hus real name.
Even if there would've been a season 3, it is possible Cassidy would've opted to leave.
